ELECTRONIC DEVICE THAT VISUALLY MONITORS HAND AND MOUTH MOVEMENTS CAPTURED BY A MUTED DEVICE OF A REMOTE PARTICIPANT IN A VIDEO COMMUNICATION SESSION
20220400022 · 2022-12-15 ·

An electronic device, computer program product, and method mitigates loss of communication between participants in a communication session when a remote participant attempts to speak without manually unmuting the electronic device. A controller configures the electronic device to monitor one or more image streams originating respectively at one or more second electronic devices during a video communication session. The controller identifies, in a particular image stream of the one or more image streams, at least one of a speaking movement of a mouth of a particular participant or a gesture by the particular participant to present an audio input via the video communication session. A user interface presented on at least one user interface device of the electronic device presents an alert that the particular participant is attempting to speak to other participants in the video communication session.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) LIFELIKE 3D CONVERSATIONAL CHATBOT
20220398794 · 2022-12-15 ·

A 3D conversational chatbot is disclosed. The conversational chatbot is embodied in an avatar to provide a human-like experience for end-users. The chatbot is an artificial intelligence-based chatbot. The chatbot is configured with the knowledge of the chatbot owner. The knowledge may depend on the owner, such as the products and/or services provided by the owner. For example, the chatbot is customized with AI for the specific needs of its owner. The avatar communicates with the user, such as a customer, to answer questions with life-like speech and facial movement.

Systems and methods to adapt and optimize human-machine interaction using multimodal user-feedback

Systems and methods for human-machine interaction. An adaptive behavioral control system of a human-machine interaction system controls an interaction sub-system to perform a plurality of actions for a first action type in accordance with a computer-behavioral policy, each action being a different alternative action for the action type. The adaptive behavioral control system detects a human reaction of an interaction participant to the performance of each action of the first action type from data received from a human reaction detection sub-system. The adaptive behavioral control system stores information indicating each detected human reaction in association with information identifying the associated action. In a case where stored information indicating detected human reactions for the first action type satisfy an update condition, the adaptive behavioral control system updates the computer-behavioral policy for the first action type.

Real-time targeting of advertisements across multiple platforms
11526909 · 2022-12-13 · ·

A server and a method for real-time targeting of advertisements across multiple platforms is provided. The server receives first information that indicates a presence of a first person in a first vehicle at a first time period. The server determines content metadata associated with media content rendered via an infotainment device of the first vehicle. The server transmits first advertisement content to the infotainment device. The server receives second information that indicates an absence of the first person from the first vehicle at a second time period. The server further determines a first application used by the first person on an electronic device within a time threshold from the second time period. The server further transmits second advertisement content, to be rendered on the determined first application, to the first electronic device. The second advertisement content may be associated with the first advertisement content.

REMINISCENCE THERAPY AND MEDIA SHARING PLATFORM

Described are reminiscence therapy and media sharing platform, methods, and systems for a patient user which provide an immediate and First Mobile Application positive impact on emotional functioning inpatients with dementia, major neurocognitive disorders, social isolation, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and psychiatric conditions such as posttraumatic stress disorder, by reducing anxiety, depression, and overall emotional distress.

Method and System for Monitoring an Occupant of a Vehicle
20220388527 · 2022-12-08 ·

Systems and techniques are provided for monitoring an occupant located in an interior of a vehicle. The techniques include the detection an occupant in at least one image. Body points of the occupant are identified based on the at least one image, and a pose of the occupant is classified based on the detected body points. A recommendation for adapting the occupant's pose is provided based on the classified pose.

CONTEXT DRIVEN ALERTING

A context driven alerting system and method is described in accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure. The alerting system and method may consider a pilot's physiological, psychological, and behavioral state during a given mission context. The system may include biometric information which is fused with a context of the flight. The context may be based on one or more of a mission profile data or an aircraft state data. The fused data may be time synchronized and provided to an alerting algorithm. The alerting algorithm may then provide an alert to the pilot which includes a priority, intensity, frequency, or modality determined based on the fused information.

DETECTING ANOMALOUS BEHAVIORS WITHIN AIRCRAFT CONTEXT

A pilot may be more stressed during take-off or landing, which is not abnormal. Physiological data of the pilot may be received. Placing the physiological data in context of the current situation may be advantageous in detecting anomalous behaviors of the pilot. A system and method are described. The system and method receive a stream of images from a camera and detect whether the pilot is exhibiting anomalous behavior. The anomalous behavior is further put into context based on the flight state and various avionics information.

REALISTIC HEAD TURNS AND FACE ANIMATION SYNTHESIS ON MOBILE DEVICE

Provided are systems and methods for realistic head turns and face animation synthesis. An example method includes receiving a source frame of a source video, where the source frame includes a head and a face of a source actor, generating source pose parameters corresponding to a pose of the head and a facial expression of the source actor; receiving a target image including a target head and a target face of a target person, determining target identity information associated with the target head and the target face of the target person, replacing source identity information in the source pose parameters with the target identity information to obtain further source pose parameters, and generating an output frame of an output video that includes a modified image of the target face and the target head adopting the pose of the head and the facial expression of the source actor.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING A VIRTUAL AGENT TO PROVIDE CONSUMER ELECTRONIC DEVICE RELATED TECHNICAL SUPPORT
20220394348 · 2022-12-08 ·

Contextual information for an ecosystem that includes a consumer electronic device is used by a virtual agent to speed up the process by which the virtual agent provides technical support related to the consumer electronic device. The contextual information is used to reduce the amount of information the virtual agent requires from the consumer. Whilst collecting information from the consumer, the virtual agent also functions to determines if a hand-off of the consumer to a further agent is needed.
