Display controller for detecting the presence of a user
11494471 · 2022-11-08 · ·

An apparatus to detect the presence of a user includes, in one embodiment, an infrared sensor that passively detects infrared light radiated from an observation target, a heat source arranged proximate the infrared sensor, and a determinator that determines whether the observation target is present in response to information changing along with an operational situation of the heat source and infrared data detected by the infrared sensor. A method and a computer program product also perform functions of the apparatus.

Biometric feature reconstruction method, storage medium and neural network
11495049 · 2022-11-08 ·

A method, storage media and neural network for rebuilding biometric feature is provided. The method includes inputting the partial texture image obtained to the neural network and outputting a predictive value of an entire texture image that is output by the neural network. The above technical solution is via the neural network used to process images and the neural network includes the feature value layer. A plurality of the partial texture images is converted to the feature values at the technical level, and the composite calculation of a plurality of partial texture images is avoided on the application level. Because the entire texture image is not synthesized in the end, data leakage and theft are avoided. Thus, the security of the method for analyzing texture image is improved.

Image capture apparatus and control method thereof
11496668 · 2022-11-08 · ·

An image capture apparatus detects a subject in a captured image. The image capture apparatus further recognizes its user based on an eyeball image of the user. The image capture apparatus then selects a main subject area from among the detected subject areas, based on information regarding subjects captured in the past and stored being associated with the recognized user.

BIOMETRIC PRE-IDENTIFICATION
20230097112 · 2023-03-30 ·

A station device in a biometric pre-identification system uses identity to perform one or more actions. Identities are determined (such as via a backend) using biometric information. A biometric pre-identification device obtains biometric information and/or a digital representation thereof from a person approaching the station device. The biometric pre-identification device transmits such to the station device, facilitating the station to begin and/or perform various actions. The station device begins or performs the actions using the identity determined based on the biometric information before the person arrives at the station device.

SPOOF DETECTION BY CORRELATING IMAGES CAPTURED USING FRONT AND BACK CAMERAS OF A MOBILE DEVICE
20230097348 · 2023-03-30 ·

Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for determining that a subject is a live person include obtaining a first image captured using a first camera disposed on a first side of a mobile device and obtaining a second image captured using a second camera disposed on a second side of the mobile device that is on the opposite side of the first side. The first image includes a representation of reflections visible on the corneas of a subject. The first image and the second image are pre-processing to generate a third image and a fourth image, respectively, where a first field of view represented in the third image at least partially overlaps with a second field of view of the fourth image. A determination is made, based on the third and fourth images, that a scene represented in the first field of view is substantially same as a scene represented in the second field of view. Responsive to determining that the scene represented in the first field of view is substantially same as the scene represented in the second field of view, identifying the subject as a live person.

IRIS RECOGNITION APPARATUS, IRIS RECOGNITION METHOD, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM
20230029585 · 2023-02-02 · ·

An iris recognition apparatus is provided with: an irradiating device that is capable of irradiating light to a target person to be recognized; an acquiring device that acquires a first image which imaged a first imaging range including at least a face of the target person; and a determining device that determines an irradiation mode of light irradiated from the irradiating device to the target person when imaging a second image including an area, which includes an eye of the target person, and corresponding to a second imaging range, which is narrower than the first imaging range, based on the first image.

INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM FOR EYE GAZE BASED LIVENESS DETECTION

An apparatus includes: a memory storing one or more instructions; and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions to: obtain a plurality of images, each of the plurality of images including an eye of a subject; obtain a plurality of gaze angles, each of the plurality of gaze angles corresponding to the eye of the user; and detect liveness of the subject based on the plurality of gaze angles.

Biometric cybersecurity and workflow management
11616777 · 2023-03-28 · ·

A system, method, and media for providing web-based security to a workflow process is presented. Data may be processed in a web-based workflow management system. The system may detect the transfer of high-level security data through the workflow. Upon detection of the data transfers the system may request review and approval in the form of a biometric input from an approved user to allow the data to be transferred.

IMAGE ATTRIBUTE CLASSIFICATION METHOD, APPARATUS, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, MEDIUM AND PROGRAM PRODUCT

The present disclosure relates to an image attribute classification method, apparatus, electronic device, medium, and program product. The present disclosure enables inputting the image to a feature extraction network to obtain a feature map after feature extraction and N times down-sampling, wherein at least one attribute of the image occupies a second rectangular position area in the feature map after N times down-sampling; calculating a mask function of the at least one attribute of the feature map after N times down-sampling based on the second rectangular position area; obtaining a feature corresponding to the at least one attribute by dot multiplying the feature map after N times down-sampling with the mask function; and inputting the obtained feature corresponding to the at least one attribute to the corresponding attribute classifier for attribute classification.

Biometric authentication method, system, and computer program

Authentication method and system using biometric data of a person. The method is flexibly usable on a plurality of distinct verification and authentication devices and comprises a verification process and an authentication process. First biometric data is captured by the verification device and compared to official biometric data. Captured and inputted data is certified and stored. At time of a required authentication of the person, live biometric data of the person is captured and compared to first biometric data. If the data is similar, the person is automatically authenticated.
