INTELLIGENT COLLECTION BOX
Systems and methods for an intelligent collection box are provided. Implementations of the intelligent collection box include a processor, a computer-readable data storage system storing program instructions, a weighing scale, a display, a speaker, a microphone, a network interface, and a power generator. The program instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the intelligent collection box to perform operations including identifying keywords spoken by the user. The operations also include authenticating the user using the keywords. The operations also include determining a request for delivery of an item based on the keywords. The operations also include responding to the request for delivery. The operations also include determining a weight of the item. The operations also include determining delivery options for the item using the weight and using delivery information. The operations also include determining that the item has been received by the collection box.
DIGITAL STAMPS
The present disclosure provides methods and systems for the collection and delivery of physical items. Implementations consistent with the present disclosure provide a method including receiving, by a user interface device, a request from a user to deliver an item to a destination using a digital stamp, wherein the item includes destination information. The method also includes receiving, by the user interface device, a destination address from the user. The method also includes providing, by the user interface device, the delivery fee for the item. The method also includes generating the digital stamp using the destination address received from the user, the delivery fee for the item, and user account information. The method also includes collecting the item, wherein the item lacks any physical indicia that the delivery fee for the item has been paid or will be paid.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MOBILE DEVICES TO COMMUNICATE WITH SHIPPING PERIPHERAL DEVICES USING DISTRIBUTED INSTANCES OF CUSTOM HARDWARE
A system and method for mobile devices that do not have hardware interfaces to be able to control shipping peripheral devices that are not connected directly thereto are provided. Intermediary hardware devices are utilized that are connected to a local area network. A first device communicates with the user's mobile device using very-short range communication protocols. A second device has the peripheral devices directly coupled thereto, and includes preinstalled drivers and application software for the peripheral devices. The devices allow the mobile device and peripheral devices to communicate with each other over the local area network. Thus, the mobile device can be used to control the peripheral devices even though the peripheral devices are not directly connected to the mobile device.
PACKAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
In accordance with an embodiment, a package management system comprises a measurement device and an output device. The measurement device having a platform on which a package for measurement is to be placed, a camera positioned to capture an image of the package placed on the platform, a weight sensor configured to measure a weight of the package placed on the platform, and a processor configured to determine a length, a width, and a height of the package based on the captured image. The output device connected to a network and configured to output onto the network first information indicating the length, the width, and the height of the package and second information indicating the weight of the package.
Module for Determining a Shipping Option
A method is disclosed. The method includes causing the opening of a lockable measuring module. The method includes obtaining at least one measurement parameter of a shipment deposited in the measuring module. The method includes providing, at least partially based on the obtained at least one measurement parameter, measurement information. The measurement information represents at least one weight and/or size of the shipment deposited in the measuring module. The at least one shipping option for shipping the shipment is determined at least partially based on the provided measurement information.
Assemblies, systems, and methods for franking one or more sequential mailpiece on a high speed mail sorter
Assemblies, systems, and methods for applying postage indicia to one or more sequential mailpiece on a high speed mail sorter are disclosed. In some aspects, a system for franking one or more sequential mailpiece using a postal security device (PSD) hub assembly on a high speed mail sorter includes a plurality of PSDs configured to generate a coded digital signature for the one or more sequential mailpiece during a latency period, a plurality of photo sensors configured to define the latency period, a PSD host configured to receive the generated coded digital signature, wherein the generated coded digital signature is encoded in a data matrix, and an indicia printer configured to receive printer control data and to print the printer control data on the one or more sequential mailpiece in an order in which the plurality of PSDs are tasked during the latency period.
Method for Determining Fee For Sending a Mailing
Example aspects of the present disclosure relate to a method for determining a fee for sending a mailing, comprising the steps of: a) determining the weight and/or the volume of the mailing, b) selecting a three-dimensional body corresponding to the weight and/or the volume of the mailing, c) projecting the three-dimensional body onto the mailing, d) checking whether the three-dimensional body can enclose the mailing, e) if the three-dimensional body cannot enclose the mailing, selecting a larger three-dimensional body and repeating steps c) and d), f) if the three-dimensional body can enclose the mailing, determining the fee for sending the mailing in dependence on the determined weight and/or the volume and the selected three-dimensional body.
AUTOMATIC PARCEL STORAGE BOX SYSTEM AND MANAGEMENT METHOD THEREOF
Provided is an unmanned mail/courier management system and method which can unmannedly receive a delivery of mail or a courier item, and can unmannedly store and receive a delivered mail or courier item. The system invention provides a configuration that enables a work, which is performed for unmanned reception and storage through interworking between an unmanned reception machine and a management server through a network in the art, to be input through and processed by a user terminal, and thus, does not require construction of a network for interworking with the management server in the unmanned reception machine for implementation thereof, thereby enabling easy installation of the unmanned reception machine, and minimizing a standby time by omitting a procedure of directly inputting in the unmanned reception machine.
Digital stamps
Systems, methods, interface devices, and media for the delivery of physical items using a digital stamp. Various implementations include operations such as receiving a request from a user to deliver an item to a destination using a digital stamp, wherein the item includes destination information and lacks any physical indicator that the delivery fee for the item has been paid or will be paid; receiving a destination address from the user; presenting a delivery fee for the item; and causing the generation of a digital stamp using the destination address and the delivery fee, which may be correlated with the item.
DIMENSIONING SYSTEM
A terminal for measuring at least one dimension of an object includes a range camera, a visible camera, and a display that are fixed in position and orientation relative to each other. The range camera is configured to produce a range image of an area in which the object is located. The visible camera is configured to produce a visible image of an area in which the object is located. The display is configured to present information associated with the range camera's field of view and the visible camera's field of view.
