A convertible garment, such as a jacket, tunic, sweater or vest, capable of being folded and converted into a carry-on bag and adapted for carrying articles normally carried in a handbag, briefcase, carry-on bag or suitcase, with pockets on the outside and in the lining portion of the garment, arranged so that the garment is not distorted by items carried within said pockets. The garment also has a back panel accessible from inside of the garment for carrying articles such as socks, underwear, shirts and trousers, with special compartments for such clothes. Zippers and hook and loop fasteners are used as closures for some of the pockets. A method for folding the garment and converting it into a conventional carry-on bag is also disclosed.

A wearable garment that is a combination sweatshirt and pillow. The sweatshirt has a body, arms, a collar and a hood attached to the collar. A pouch having an open top, closed sides, and a closed bottom is attached to the collar. The pouch lies over the sweatshirt body when in a first position and is rotated over the top to a second position for receiving the sweatshirt body and arms when they are rolled and inserted into the pouch forming a pillow. The hood can be placed over a user's head with the pouch oriented against the user's neck to function as a pillow. In a second embodiment, the garment is provided with a second hood over the first hood. In a third embodiment, a pouch is sewn into a liner in the hood which receives the sweatshirt.

An article of apparel convertible to a sleeping bag is comprised of a jacket having a body portion and a pair of detachable sleeves removably secured to respective shoulder portions of the portion by attachments. The body portion has an extendable waist section. The detachable sleeves have an elongated detachable closure extending longitudinally thereof to deploy the sleeve lengthwise whereby the pair of sleeves can be interconnected together to form a tubular leg pouch. The sleeves also have gussets extending from wrist bands thereof to expand when deployed. The top attachment zippers of the sleeves permit attachment of the tubular leg pouch to zipper fasteners in a lower edge of the extendable waist portion to form the sleeping bag.

An article of apparel convertible to a sleeping bag is comprised of a jacket having a body portion and a pair of detachable sleeves removably secured to respective shoulder portions of the portion by attachments. The body portion has an extendable waist section. The detachable sleeves have an elongated detachable closure extending longitudinally thereof to deploy the sleeve lengthwise whereby the pair of sleeves can be interconnected together to form a tubular leg pouch. The sleeves also have gussets extending from wrist bands thereof to expand when deployed. The top attachment zippers of the sleeves permit attachment of the tubular leg pouch to zipper fasteners in a lower edge of the extendable waist portion to form the sleeping bag.

A garment support system adjustably and removably supports a garment on a user's shoulders and optionally includes one or more continuous strap members having clamps on at least on opposing end thereof arranged adjustably in a mobile arrangement for support relative to a user's shoulders. Optionally, the clamps are secured to the collar and arm openings of the garment providing a garment support system and also optionally a sliding bridge allows for adjustment for individuals of differing sizes. The garment support system may be compact and stored in a kit form for sale and travel convenience.
