The present invention relates to vehicle systems to selectively record audio and video around a vehicle using a plurality of cameras and microphones dispersed on the exterior of the vehicle. The cameras and microphones are selectively activated using a pair of paddles installed on either side of the steering wheel. Audio and video obtained by the cameras and microphones are displayed through an electronic dashboard and can be stored in an internal memory. In one embodiment, the system detects emergency situations and automatically contacts one or more emergency services. The electronic dashboard is configured to connect to an electronic device for transmitting recorded audio and video. The invention can be integrated into a vehicle during manufacturing of the vehicle or added to a vehicle as an aftermarket system. The invention can also be used by law enforcement to detect emergencies and illegal activity.

Vehicle with a high-voltage accumulator

A high-voltage accumulator has a high-voltage accumulator housing in which multiple electric storage cells are arranged. A wall of the high-voltage accumulator housing is equipped with at least one aeration/ventilation device which is gas-permeable at least from the interior of the high-voltage accumulator housing to the exterior of the high-voltage accumulator housing such that gas can leak out of the interior of the high-voltage accumulator in the event of an overpressure in the interior of the high-voltage accumulator housing. The aeration/ventilation device is equipped with a device, by which a substance that accumulates on the aeration/ventilation device and partly or completely blocks same can be removed.

System and method for detecting worn or damaged components of an agricultural machine based on acoustic data

In one aspect, a system for detecting worn or damaged components of an agricultural machine may include first and second acoustic sensors positioned at first and second locations on the agricultural machine, respectively, with the second location being spaced apart from the first location. A controller of the system may be configured to determine a first acoustic parameter associated with the first location of the agricultural machine based on acoustic data received from the first acoustic sensor. The controller may also be configured to determine a second acoustic parameter associated with the second location of the agricultural machine based on acoustic data received from the second acoustic sensor. Furthermore, the controller may be configured to determine a component of the agricultural machine is worn or damaged when the first acoustic parameter differs from the second acoustic parameter by a predetermined amount.

Allophone inspection device and inspection method thereof

An allophone inspection device and inspection method thereof are provided. An allophone inspection device includes an array microphone unit in which a plurality of array microphones are disposed at predetermined intervals, and a controller configured to build reference data by quantifying analyzed allophone by collecting sound signals generated from surrounding based on a position where the array microphone unit is installed in advance and measure a surrounding sound signal through the array microphone unit to estimate whether or not noise is generated and a position of the sound source where the noise is generated based on the reference data.

Monitoring of data to predict driving events

The present disclosure relates to monitoring sound in and around a vehicle to predict unsafe driving events, and using the sound information to detect and reduce unsafe driving conditions. A computing device receives information indicative of a sound in or near a vehicle. The sound information may be received via the vehicle itself or via a device. The computing device then determines whether there is an indication of an unwanted driving event. The computing device also receives vehicle operation data extracted from one or more vehicle sensors. The computing device then determines whether there is an indication of unsafe driving conditions, and if there is, the computing device may output a notice or alert via a notification system to alert the driver or, in certain embodiments, other parties via social media, text message, chat programs, and the like.

Vehicle audio capture and diagnostics

Methods and systems for capturing and processing audio data of a vehicle engine. In one aspect, a vehicle audio capture system includes a mobile device configured to capture vehicle engine sounds in an audio file and to associate tags identifying one or more vehicle conditions observed during audio capture and reflected in the audio file, and a server configured to process the audio file and expose an application programming interface (API) to provide access to the audio file to one or more data consumer devices. In some instances, a condition report server is configured to access the application programming interface to retrieve a version of the audio file and include data describing the audio file within a vehicle condition report. Additionally, tags may be added to the audio file based on detected engine conditions. Detection of engine conditions may be based on use of trained models.

SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE OPERABLE TO ENTER A REVERSE MODE

A system for a vehicle includes a human-machine interface, a microphone that detects sound, a sound source device that emits sound, and a controller that prompts pairing of the sound source device and the microphone, such that the sound source device emits sound corresponding to the sound detected by the microphone. The controller prompts pairing of the sound source device and the microphone in response to at least one of (i) the vehicle entering a reverse mode, and (ii) receiving a user input entered into the human-machine interface via selection of an input option by a user, wherein the input option is made accessible for selection by the user in response to the vehicle entering the reverse mode.

Predictive aircraft maintenance methods include extracting feature data from flight data collected during a flight of the aircraft, calculating a performance classifier indicator that indicates a performance category of the selected flight control surface component within a threshold number of future flights based on the feature data, and determining the performance status of the selected flight control surface component relative to the threshold number of future flights based on the performance classifier indicator. Such methods may include classifying the feature data with an ensemble of related primary classifiers to produce a primary classifier indicator for each primary classifier and aggregating the primary classifier indicators to produce the performance classifier indicator indicating the performance category of the selected active component for the threshold number of future flights.

Predictive aircraft maintenance systems may include modules configured to extract feature data, classify feature data, and aggregate classifications.
