A closure connects to the neck. A fluid conduit extends from the closure to a dispensing wand. The dispensing wand is configured to be held in a hand and to be moved about while dispensing fluid. A data tag is secured to the container. The dispensing wand has a trigger, a data tag reader, a pump, a motor, a power source, a processor and memory. The hand-held sprayer also includes logic for causing the processor to determine whether a data read from the data tag meets a criteria for allowing the dispensing of fluid from the container. If the data read from the data tag meets the criteria, fluid is dispensed from the container when the trigger is activated.

A lock system may include a lock unit and a gateway. The lock unit may include a first wireless communicator that is configured to communicate via a LoRa-based wireless communication link to initiate one or more operations, status inquiries, and/or lock unit updates of the lock unit. In some embodiments, the lock unit may also include one or more components that may be maintained in a powered-off and/or low-power standby state when not in use. The lock unit may activate power to these one or more components, including activating a second wireless communicator, for example, after receiving a wakeup signal from the gateway. The lock unit and the gateway may communicate requests for low bandwidth data transfer via the first wireless communicator and requests for high bandwidth data transfer via the second wireless communicator.

An internet-connected garage door control system is disclosed that includes a garage door opener for opening and closing a garage door in response to signals received through the internet, and an in-vehicle remote garage door opener integrated into a vehicle for transmitting the signals through the internet to the garage door opener. The in-vehicle remote garage door opener includes an interface configured to communicate with an internet-connected device, a trainable RF transceiver for transmitting an RF signal to the garage door opener, a user-actuated input, an interface configured to communicate with an internet-connected device, and a controller, wherein, upon actuation of the user-actuated input, the controller is configured to at least one of (a) request a signal to be transmitted by the internet-connected device through the internet to the garage door opener, and (b) cause the trainable RF transceiver to transmit the RF signal to the garage door opener.
