Remote keyless entry message authentication

Method and apparatus are disclosed for remote keyless entry authentication. An example remote keyless entry system includes a key fob and a vehicle. The key fob generates a secured message with a plaintext space and a ciphertext space. The vehicle (i) determines whether the key fob may be authorized based on first information in the plaintext space, (ii) decrypts an encrypted value in the ciphertext space based on a predicted full counter value, and (iii) determines whether the key fob is authorized based on second information in the encrypted value.

Access and/or presence control system

Portable RFID device (300), usable in an access and/or presence control system, comprising a radio frequency transmitter module (305) connected to an accelerometer (315) that is configured to detect movements of the portable RFID device (300), wherein the portable RFID device (300) is configured to be powered by a battery (325), wherein the accelerometer (315) is configured to send to the radio frequency transmitter module (305) a value of detected acceleration of the portable RFID device (300), and the radio frequency transmitter module (305) is configured to recognize when said value of detected acceleration is higher than a minimum threshold and, in this case, to activate for a transmission period a transmission of a radio frequency signal including an identification code.

An intelligent authentication system including an electronic lock and an electronic key is provided. The electronic key includes an electronic paper display apparatus. The electronic key is adapted to perform a two-step authentication with the electronic lock. The two-step authentication includes the first authentication step and the second authentication step. The electronic paper display apparatus is driven after the first authentication step is passed. And during the second authentication step, the electronic key performs an authentication operation with the electronic lock by using the driven electronic paper display apparatus. Furthermore, an electronic key for the foregoing intelligent authentication system is also provided.

Locking and unlocking system for a vehicle based on a valid period of authentication

A locking and unlocking system includes a controller. The controller is configured to acquire a state of locking and unlocking of a vehicle that is locked and unlocked based on locking and unlocking instruction information acquired from a portable terminal, and send a notification to a first device associated with the vehicle, when the vehicle is not locked during a period of time from when the vehicle is unlocked based on the locking and unlocking instruction information acquired from the portable terminal until a first timing.

WIRELESS LOCK

A network lock system and a method for operating the network lock system. The network lock system includes: a battery controller for turning on a microcontroller using power in a battery, in response to a determination by the battery controller that there is enough power in the battery to turn on the microcontroller; the microcontroller after being turned on, for receiving a wireless signal and in response, for generating a lock signal to activate a device adapter; the device adapter for applying a power signal to a lock mechanism, in response to the device adapter having been activated by the lock signal; and the lock mechanism for locking a first lock part to a second lock part together, and for releasing the first lock part locked to the second lock part in response to the lock mechanism having received the power signal from the device adapter.

Method and system for multi-party unlock in an inventory transaction

A method for actuating a locking mechanism on a container, the method including receiving, at a computing device associated with the container, a policy for actuating the locking mechanism; determining, at the computing device, that conditions within the policy have been met; and actuating the locking mechanism.

Multi-sensor passive keyless functionality

In selected examples, a vehicle control system (VCS) includes Bluetooth beacons and an app running on a mobile device, such as a smartphone or a key fob equipped with movement sensors and a Bluetooth transceiver. Passive keyless entry capability of the system uses received signal strength indications (RSSIs) together with movement-related indications of the movement sensors to determine when the mobile device moves away from the vehicle beyond a predetermined departure distance, and/or approaches the vehicle to within a predetermined arrival distance. When the user approaches the vehicle, the mobile device automatically transmits an arrival notification to the VCS, which automatically performs arrival actions, e.g., unlocking doors and disarming security features of the VCS/vehicle. When the user moves away from the vehicle, the mobile device automatically transmits a departures notification to the VCS, which performs departure actions, e.g., locking the vehicle and arming the security features of the VCS/vehicle.
