METHOD FOR ALLOWING ACCESS TO A VEHICLE AND A FLEET OF VEHICLES
A method for allowing access to a vehicle that has a key access management system in communication with a remote key access database; and a sensor for reading a static identifier; wherein the remote key access database includes identification information of static identifiers and a user profile associated with each static identifier. The method includes: receiving identification information for at least one static identifier and the associated user profile from the remote key access database; storing the received identification information of the static identifier and the associated user profile in the key access management system of the vehicle; reading identification information of a static identifier by the sensor; comparing the read identification information with identification information in the key access management system; in response to finding a match of the read identification information in the key access management system, providing access to at least part of the vehicle.
VALET KEY AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VALET KEY
A valet key operable as a vehicle key when lending a vehicle to a third person includes a state determination unit configured to determine whether or not the valet key is operable as the vehicle key when the valet key transmits a radio wave. The valet key further includes a communication subject setting unit configured to set a communication subject to which the valet key transmits the radio wave based on the determination result of the state determination unit.
Method, computer program and apparatus for verifying authorization of a mobile communication device
A method for checking an authorization of a mobile communication device for operating a vehicle engine of a vehicle which includes determining a position of a mobile communication device. The position of the mobile communication device is inside or outside the vehicle. The method also includes receiving a digital key value from the mobile communication device and checking the authorization of the mobile communication device for operating the vehicle engine, based on the position of the mobile communication device and based on the digital key value.
SECURED DELIVERY CONTAINER
A secure delivery container can have a body with a chamber that can receive one or more items for delivery to an end recipient and a door actuatable to close the chamber in a locked position and open to allow access to the items. The container can have a heat transfer system with one or more heat transfer elements in thermal communication with one or more surfaces of the body that define the chamber and configured to heat or cool said one or more surfaces to heat or cool the delivery items in the chamber. The container can also have control circuitry configured to control the operation of the one or more heat transfer elements. The container can also have a transceiver configured to wirelessly communicate with a remote electronic device, the transceiver configured to receive information from the remote electronic device and communicate said information to the control circuitry, the transceiver configured to communicate operational information from the one or more heat transfer elements, or control circuitry to the remote electronic device.
Systems and methods for remote access rights and verification
An access control system is provided that enables a network operations center to manage and control access to a plurality of remote sites and to verify servicing of the remote sites. Individuals in possession of electronic programmable keys can be provided opening codes to activate their keys while in the field, and to enable the keys to access one or more electronic locks located at the remote sites. Usage information associated with the utilization of the electronic programmable keys at the remote sites is stored on the electronic programmable keys. A lock attendance code is generated by the keys to verify attendance at the remote locations. The lock attendance codes are then transmitted to the network operations center where they are decoded to verify servicing of the remote sites.
AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND AUTHENTICATION METHOD
An authentication system includes an in-vehicle unit that is mounted in a vehicle, and a vehicle-exterior apparatus that is provided outside the vehicle. The in-vehicle unit and the vehicle-exterior apparatus are configured to communicate with each other. The in-vehicle unit includes a first vehicle-interior storage unit that stores user related information, a second vehicle-interior storage unit that stores vehicle related information, and a vehicle-interior control unit. The vehicle-exterior apparatus includes a first vehicle-exterior storage unit, a second vehicle-exterior storage unit, and a vehicle-exterior control unit. The vehicle-interior control unit and the vehicle-exterior control unit perform synchronization processing for bi-directionally synchronizing the user related information stored in the first vehicle-interior storage unit and the user related information stored in the shared area in the first vehicle-exterior storage unit with each other.
Voice-Activated Actuation of Automotive Features
A microcontroller includes a processor and instructions stored in a machine-readable medium. The instructions, when loaded and executed by the processor, cause the processor to recognize an access by a transmitter to a vehicle, recognize a voice command to open a portion of the vehicle, and, based on a combination of the recognition of the voice command and the recognition of the access by the transmitter, issue a signal to actuate a feature of the vehicle identified in the voice command.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING A PHYSICAL LAYER RELAY ATTACK
There is provided a method and a system for authorizing a user device (102) to send a request to a vehicle (104) in order to prevent a physical layer relay attack. The system comprises a vehicle comprising an acoustic transducer (106) and an RF transceiver (108) and a user device comprising an acoustic transducer and an RF transceiver. The method relates to a signaling scheme using a combination of acoustic and RF signals for preventing a successful physical layer relay attack.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INLET OF ELECTRIC CAR
The present disclosure provides an inlet control system and apparatus for an electric vehicle. It is an object of the present disclosure to provide an inlet control system and apparatus for an electric vehicle that permit the connector of the charging cable to be released from the inlet of the electric vehicle connected thereto only when an authorized user having a release control apparatus is adjacent to the electric vehicle regardless of whether one end of the charging cable connected to a power source is removed or not and prohibit release of the connector of the charging cable from the inlet of the electric vehicle when the user having the release control apparatus moves away from the electric vehicle.
Remote keyless entry message authentication
Method and apparatus are disclosed for remote keyless entry authentication. An example remote keyless entry system includes a key fob and a vehicle. The key fob generates a secured message with a plaintext space and a ciphertext space. The vehicle (i) determines whether the key fob may be authorized based on first information in the plaintext space, (ii) decrypts an encrypted value in the ciphertext space based on a predicted full counter value, and (iii) determines whether the key fob is authorized based on second information in the encrypted value.
