Home monitoring system triggered rules
In some implementations, a system can trigger an action to be performed at a property based on satisfaction of criteria related to location information and a connection status of a mobile computing device. Location information of the mobile computing device relative of a pre-defined geographic region including at least a portion of the property is initially obtained. A connection status of the mobile computing device for a short range wireless connection with a communication-enabled device within the property is then obtained. Criteria for an action at the property is then determined to be satisfied by the location information and the connection status of the mobile computing device. The action is finally triggered to be performed at the property in response to determining that criteria for the action is satisfied.
Systems and methods for threshold detection of a wireless device
A threshold detection system may include multiple wireless devices, wherein each individual wireless device may include a transmitter to transmit a wireless signal. The threshold detection system may also include a receiver array of multiple receivers to detect the wireless signal of each individual wireless device in response to the individual wireless device being in range of the receiver array. The threshold detection system may also include a controller to receive detection signals from the receivers and determine a direction of travel of an individual wireless device relative to a predetermined threshold based on the received detection signals. The controller may also determine that the individual wireless device has crossed the predetermined threshold and trigger an audio or visual alert in response to the determination that the wireless device has crossed the predetermined threshold and is traveling in an exit direction based on the determined direction of travel.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING SMART KEY
A method of controlling a smart key, including a low frequency (LF) receiver receiving an LF signal from a vehicle, a radio frequency (RF) transmitter transmitting an RF signal to the vehicle in response to the LF signal, a sensor unit sensing a motion, and a micro control unit controlling operations of the LF receiver, the RF transmitter, and the sensor unit, includes receiving, by the LF receiver, the LF signal from the vehicle and controlling, by the micro control unit, a turn-on/off operation of each of the LF receiver, the RF transmitter, and the sensor unit on the basis of the received LF signal.
Systems and methods for recognizing driver/passenger's intent to enter vehicle for managing proxemics interaction
A system implemented in a vehicle, the system comprises a sensing module, a zone determination module, and an intent determination module. The sensing module is configured to sense a signal from a mobile device proximate to the vehicle. The zone determination module is configured to determine locations of the mobile device in a plurality of zones around the vehicle based on the signal. A sequence of the locations indicates movement of the mobile device in the plurality of zones. The intent determination module is configured to select weights according to a set of rules to apply to successive locations in the sequence, determine an intent indicator of whether a person carrying the mobile device intends to enter the vehicle by applying the selected weights to the successive locations in the sequence, and generate an output to perform one or more operations in the vehicle based on the intent indicator.
Door lock control apparatus and method
Provided are door lock control apparatus and method having enhanced security and being capable of providing improved convenience to a user, the door lock control method including: requesting a server for security information set in a door lock; receiving first security information from the server; unlocking the door lock by using the first security information; and setting second security information different from the first security information, in the door lock.
Auto-calibration apparatus, device, and server, auto-calibration method, and storage medium
The invention relates to an auto-calibration apparatus, device, and server, an auto-calibration method, and a storage medium, where the auto-calibration apparatus includes: a communication unit configured to receive a target position; a positioning unit configured to determine a current position of the apparatus; a computing unit configured to generate a driving signal based on the target position and the current position; a driving unit configured to move the apparatus to the target position based on the driving signal; and a beacon unit configured to broadcast, at least at the target position, a beacon signal used for calibration. The auto-calibration apparatus may implement efficient auto-calibration on vehicles.
Access Control Via Selective Direct and Indirect Wireless Communications
A system is described for controlling a locking system restricting physical access (e.g. a door lock). The locking system is accessed (e.g., actuated and monitored) via dual communication path types used by a mobile wireless communication device. The locking system includes an electro-mechanical access control security device, and a receiving unit controlling the electro-mechanical access control security device. The receiving unit is paired with the mobile wireless communication device for receiving input from the mobile wireless device for activating the electro-mechanical access control security device using both low energy and high energy operating modes. The mobile wireless device is configured to access the locking system via both direct BLUETOOTH and indirect mobile wireless data network communications. Moreover, the operating range of the receiving unit is extended by connections to networked devices operating BLUETOOTH 4+LE at a high powerextended range mode through the use of an amplifier stage.
RECEPTION RANGE VARYING SYSTEM, VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, AND PORTABLE DEVICE
A reception range varying system includes a vehicle control device and a portable device. The reception range varying system determines whether a position where the portable device exists is within an execution range which enables execution of vehicle control over the portable device, or within a reception range but outside the execution range, and narrows the reception range so that the portable device is positioned outside the reception range while maintaining the reception range at a size equivalent to or larger than the execution range, on the basis that the position where the portable device exists is within the reception range but outside the execution range.
Locking system for vehicles
A locking system for vehicles is disclosed. After the engine is turned off, the vehicle in accordance with this invention checks whether it is in a garage with limited space. If it is, it leaves the doors unlocked. If it determines that it is not in a garage with limited space, it checks if the car key is inside the car after the driver exited the car. If it is, it sets off an alarm for the driver to retrieve the key. If the car key is not inside the car, it further checks if the key is in close proximity. When it no longer detects the key in its close proximity outside the car, it automatically locks the doors.
Methods and apparatuses for unlocking a motor vehicle having an engine start and/or vehicle entry system
Various embodiments may include systems for unlocking a motor vehicle. For example, an apparatus may include: a motor vehicle key for unlocking a motor vehicle having a remote engine start and/or vehicle entry system. The motor vehicle key comprises a Bluetooth antenna and a motor vehicle communication antenna. A controller of the motor vehicle key is configured to: use the Bluetooth antenna to set up a Bluetooth link to a mobile radio terminal using an activation key stored in a memory of the motor vehicle key; and instruct a motor vehicle controller installed in the motor vehicle to prompt an operation of the motor vehicle.
