Multi-range vehicle access systems
The present disclosure addresses methods for increasing and varying the range of control of wireless systems used in vehicles. The present invention enables varying ranges which allow a user, for example, to activate lights when an authorized vehicle user is in a close range, and to start the vehicle from a distance before the authorized vehicle user leaves the house. The described systems use variable frequency shift keying, variations in power transmissions, and user defined ranges that can be modified through Bluetooth communications.
Electric lock device and door including the same
A door includes a door panel and an electric lock device including a solar energy module, a biometric verification module, a control module and an electric lock. The solar energy module converts solar energy into an electricity output. The biometric verification module receives a biometric input signal relative to a biometric feature, determines whether the biometric feature conforms with a set of pre-established data, and generates a conforming signal if the determination is affirmative. The control module receives the conforming signal to generate a control signal and an unlocking signal. The electric lock receives the control signal and the unlocking signal. The electric lock operates to unlock the door panel.
Mobile terminal and method for controlling the same
The present invention relates to a mobile terminal capable of performing communication with a vehicle, and a method for controlling the same. A mobile terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a terminal body, an antenna provided in the body, and a socket formed such that a vehicle key module is insertable, wherein the socket is located between the antenna and a printed circuit board (PCB) provided in the terminal body, such that the inserted vehicle key module is electrically connected directly to the antenna without passing through the printed circuit board.
Electronic access control device and access control method
An electronic access control device (1) includes a radio communication module (11) for wireless data exchange in a first radio frequency band with a mobile device (2) over a direct wireless communication link (3). The access control device has a controller (12) connected to the wireless radio communication module for generating an access control signal using an access key received from the mobile device. The electronic access control device further includes a proximity detector (13) for detecting a mobile device in defined proximity (P), using a radio frequency in a second radio frequency band, different from the first radio frequency band. The controller is connected to the proximity detector and controls the radio communication module to establish the direct wireless communication link with the mobile device, only if the mobile device is detected in defined proximity of the electronic access control device.

Method for utilizing a wireless connection to unlock an opening
A method of operating a lock from a portable remote device includes sending a radio frequency identification signal from the portable remote device to a controller for the lock, and receiving the radio frequency identification signal at the lock controller and identifying the remote device as an authorized user of the lock. The method then includes sending a sound frequency identification signal from the portable remote device to the lock controller, receiving the sound frequency identification signal at the lock controller and identifying the remote device as an authorized user of the lock. The method further includes authorizing operation of the lock in accordance with the radio or sound frequency identification signal from the portable remote device. A system for practicing the method includes a lock controller capable of receiving a radio frequency identification signal and a sound frequency identification signal from the portable remote device.

Intermediary access device for communication with a vehicle
An intermediary access device enables a user electronic device to communicate with a vehicle's onboard computer system. A first wireless transceiver of the intermediary access device is used to establish a secure wireless communication channel between the intermediary access device and a vehicle on-board computer system. A second wireless transceiver of the intermediary access device is used to establish a user-initiated communication channel between the intermediary access device and a user electronic device. User commands and vehicle information can then be transmitted between the vehicle on-board computer system and the user electronic device via the intermediary access device in a safe, secure and efficient manner.
Home monitoring system triggered rules
In some implementations, a system can trigger an action to be performed at a property based on satisfaction of criteria related to location information and a connection status of a mobile computing device. Location information of the mobile computing device relative of a pre-defined geographic region including at least a portion of the property is initially obtained. A connection status of the mobile computing device for a short range wireless connection with a communication-enabled device within the property is then obtained. Criteria for an action at the property is then determined to be satisfied by the location information and the connection status of the mobile computing device. The action is finally triggered to be performed at the property in response to determining that criteria for the action is satisfied.
