LORA-BASED LOCK SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A lock system may include a lock unit and a gateway. The lock unit may include a first wireless communicator that is configured to communicate via a LoRa-based wireless communication link to initiate one or more operations, status inquiries, and/or lock unit updates of the lock unit. In some embodiments, the lock unit may also include one or more components that may be maintained in a powered-off and/or low-power standby state when not in use. The lock unit may activate power to these one or more components, including activating a second wireless communicator, for example, after receiving a wakeup signal from the gateway. The lock unit and the gateway may communicate requests for low bandwidth data transfer via the first wireless communicator and requests for high bandwidth data transfer via the second wireless communicator.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO CONTROL LOCKING AND UNLOCKING OF DOORS USING POWERLINE AND RADIO FREQUENCY COMMUNICATIONS
An electronic door lock system automatically controls locking and unlocking of a door. A door lock controller interfaces with an electronic door lock, sends messages including door lock data to a local receiver, and receives messages including door lock commands from the local receiver. In turn, the local receiver interfaces with a hub device through a mesh network. The hub receives the door lock data, applies a rule set to make lock operation decisions, and sends messages, which may comprise commands to operate the door lock, through the mesh network to the local receiver. The local receiver decodes the messages and passes the commands to the door lock controller to automatically control the electronic door lock.
Mobile electronic key device and electronic key system
A portable electronic key device starts up only when movement of the portable electronic key device is present on the basis of detection signal Sac of a motion detector. A communication monitoring unit monitors whether or not radio waves Swk periodically transmitted from a vehicle are received. When there is no movement of the portable electronic key device but the portable electronic key device has received or is receiving radio waves from the vehicle, an operation controller maintains the start-up state of the portable electronic key device.
Lock control apparatus for vehicle and method of controlling the same
A lock control apparatus for a vehicle includes anchors to receive a signal transmitted from a terminal; a communication module to communicate using controller area network (CAN) communication; a detector installed on a door to input a detection signal; and a processor to receive the signal transmitted from the terminal from at least one of the anchors through the communication module, calculate a position of the terminal based on the signal transmitted from the terminal, determine whether to unlock the door in response to the position of the terminal and the detection signal, and control an engine to start. The processor controls the anchors to enter a sleep mode in response to waiting times of the anchors and resets the anchors to release the sleep mode and controls the anchors to enter a waiting mode in response to the number of anchors transmitting the signal from the terminal.
System with control device and method for vehicle proximity remote
A system and method for controlling a transmission of electrical signals (11) by a proximity remote (10) to a receiver (22) for regulating a remote access to premises of a vehicle. The proximity remote (10) is configured to be powered by a battery (19) mounted therein on first and second battery base contacts (24, 25). The system includes: a internal control device (20) insertable within the proximity remote (10) and connectable to the first and second battery base contacts (24, 25); first and second conductors (27) connectable to the control device (20) at respective first and second contacts thereof for controlling a power supplied to the proximity remote (10); and a power supply control device (28) connectable to the first and second connectors (27) for controlling the power supplied to the proximity remote (10), thereby respectively permitting and inhibiting the transmission.
ELECTRONIC LOCK SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC LOCK DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR UNLOCKING ELECTRONIC LOCK DEVICE
An electronic lock system includes a server unit and an electronic lock device including a control module and a transmission module. The control module outputs a wakeup signal upon receipt of an input signal. The transmission module is to be awaken to an awaken state from a sleep state upon receipt of the wakeup signal, and outputs a confirm signal based on the input signal. The server unit receives a remote signal containing an unlock condition associated with the confirm signal, and outputs an unlock signal to the control module to cause the electronic lock device to operate in an unlock state upon receipt of the unlock signal when the unlock condition is satisfied.
CONTROL APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE, CONTROL METHOD FOR, AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
A control apparatus for a vehicle disclosed herein is applied to a vehicle configured to perform pre-air conditioning of the interior of the vehicle by starting an internal combustion engine according to a remote control signal sent from a remote controller. When starting pre-air conditioning according to the remote control signal, the control apparatus sets the control mode of the vehicle to a drive-disabling mode, which is a control mode that disables an operation for driving the vehicle. If a specific mode-cancelling operation is detected in a situation in which the remote controller is present in the interior of the vehicle while the control mode of the vehicle is being set to the drive-disabling mode, the control apparatus cancels the drive-disabling mode while leaving the internal combustion engine operating.
MODULE UNIT COMPRISING AN INTERFACE FOR A COMMUNICATION DEVICE
The invention relates to a module unit (10) for adapting a mobile portable communication device (20) to a security system (1) of a vehicle (2), in particular for the keyless activation of an access system of the vehicle (2), with an interface (10.1) for the data exchange (30) with the communication device (20), and at least one communication unit (10.2) for the communication with the security system (1), wherein the module unit (10) is configured in such a way that the communication can be performed by a wideband communication method.
OFFLINE LOCK SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
An offline lock system includes at least one offline lock installed on a door to allow the door to lock and unlock, at least one lock updater disposed within a predetermined range of the at least one offline lock to communicate with the at least one offline lock, and an access control system to communicate with the at least one lock updater such that the at least one lock updater transmits information to the at least one offline lock to update the at least one offline lock.
