APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING ACCESS INTENTION RECOGNITION FOR USE IN A VEHICLE WITH A HANDLELESS DOOR
A handleless door entry system for a vehicle. The system including: an occupant detection component including a first detection component and a second detection component, wherein the first detection component is configured to detect a device within a predetermined distance of the handleless door entry system, and wherein the second detection component is configured to detect an intent of an object or individual approaching the handleless door entry system.
Controlled indoor access using smart indoor door knobs
A method includes receiving, by an armed monitoring system of a property and from a user, a disarm code, comparing the received disarm code to a stored disarm code, determining that the received disarm code matches the stored disarm code, determining a property access pattern that corresponds to the stored disarm code, that identifies a first door group of one or more doors inside the property that should be locked, and that identifies a second door group of one or more doors inside the property that should be unlocked, providing, to the first door group, a first instruction to lock, providing, to the second door group, a second instruction to unlock, and based on providing, to the first door group, the first instruction to lock and providing, to the second door group, the second instruction to unlock, disarming the monitoring system.
Mobile Telephone for Remote Operation
A mobile telephone capable of controlling a remote keyless system is provided. The mobile telephone is loaded with an executable program that enables the mobile telephone to control the remote keyless system using frequencies and systems already used by the remote keyless system. The complex functionality a mobile telephone allows the executable program to fully control remote keyless systems.
SENSING BED STEP FOR VEHICLE
A method of activating a vehicle function is provided. The method includes detecting a force exerted onto a bed step of a vehicle using a pressure sensor. A controller detects whether the amount of force exerted onto the bed step is greater than a force threshold. When the force exertion force exceeds the force threshold, one of a plurality of pressure patterns is detected. One of a plurality of vehicle functions is then activated based on the detected pressure pattern.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A vehicle (20) transmits an LF command (Wa), an electronic key (30) transmits, to the vehicle (20), an RF command responsive to the LF command (Wa), the vehicle (20) transmits, to the electronic key (30), an LF command (Wb) having a longer packet length than the LF command (Wa), and the electronic key (30) transmits, to the vehicle (20), an RF command responsive to the LF command (Wb) on the basis of the electric field strength of an LF-RSSI burst of a part of the LF command (Wb), thus turning on an interior light (501).
Method for access management of a vehicle
A method for access management of the vehicle providing a vehicle and authenticating a user in relation to the vehicle by a proof of identity of the user. The method includes providing a cryptographically secured authorization file for the vehicle containing information relating to usage rights of the authenticated user to the vehicle to increase security in the entity-related enabling of vehicle functions.
Set-top box with enhanced behavioral controls and system and method for use of same
A set-top box with enhanced behavioral controls and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the set-top box, a wireless transceiver is located within a housing, which also interconnectedly includes a television input, a television output, a processor, and memory. The set-top box may pair with an electronic door locking apparatus coupled to a door that is room-collocated with the set-top box in a hospitality establishment. The set-top box may then receive a status signal from the electronic door locking apparatus relative to the open/closed status of the door and locked/unlocked status of the door.
SET-TOP BOX WITH ENHANCED BEHAVIORAL CONTROLS AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE OF SAME
A set-top box with enhanced behavioral controls and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the set-top box, a wireless transceiver is located within a housing, which also interconnectively includes a signal input, a signal output, a processor, and memory. The set-top box may pair with an electronic door locking apparatus coupled to a door that is room-collocated with the set-top box in a hospitality establishment. The set-top box may then reprogram the electronic door locking apparatus as well as control amenities, such as a display, in response to presence signal from the electronic door locking apparatus.
SMART THERMOSTAT HUB WITH CELLULAR BACKHAUL CAPABILITY
Systems and methods for managing smart devices associated with a multi-family residential property are disclosed. A method of managing smart devices includes receiving, by a server from a first smart hub via a first network, information relating to operating conditions of each smart hub of a plurality of smart hubs. The first smart hub is operable as a gateway for relaying communications between the server via the first network and other smart hubs via a second network. The server monitors the operating conditions of each smart hub based on the information received from the first smart hub. Based on a detected change in the operating conditions of the first smart hub, the server selects a second smart hub to operate as the gateway. The server transmits one or more commands via the first network to switch the gateway from the first smart hub to the second smart hub.
Vehicle connectivity for enhancing powered tool operation
Enhancing operation of powered tools is provided. Access permissions for tools and access devices are stored to in vehicle memory. Presence of a tool within proximity to the vehicle is detected. Presence of access devices configured to provide access to the vehicle are detected utilizing passive access functionality of the vehicle. Access to an auxiliary power source of the vehicle is allowed for powering the tool responsive to the access permissions granting access due to the presence of the access devices.
