Adjustable and Detachable Cast with Pressure Sensor
20170273623 · 2017-09-28 ·

A cast equipment including a fixed element, a filling device with a first site fastened to the fixed element, and a pressure sensor attached to the filling device is disclosed in this application. The pressure sensor is able to detect and collect pressure data, and the fixed element has a first container and a shape-retaining moldable material inside the first container. The present application provides an equipment to detect a pressure data to a casted region. A method for using the cast equipment is also provided in this application.

Orthopedic device

An orthopedic device includes a base shell having ankle and foot receiving portions. The base shell forms an opening over a dorsal aspect of the base shell. A dorsal shell is contoured to generally correspond to the opening in the base shell. The dorsal shell includes a proximal member connected to distal member via a flexible or resilient connecting portion arranged to accommodate a portion of a user's lower leg or ankle. A first flexible edge portion is attached to a distal terminal end of the distal member. The first flexible edge portion is arranged to bend or flex relative to the distal member so as to reduce the likelihood of pressure points on the user's toes from the distal member.

ORTHOTIC DEVICE RESPONSIVE TO DETECTED FORCES AT USER-OPERATED TOOL

An orthotic device is provided. The orthotic device is configured to be worn on an appendage of a user of a fastener installation tool, and is configurable between a relaxed state and a rigid state. The orthotic device includes at least one activation component that is responsive to an activation signal output by a controller in communication with the fastener installation tool. The activation component changes the orthotic device from the relaxed state to the rigid state in response to the controller detecting a resistive force at the fastener installation tool during installation of a fastener.

DYNAMICALLY ALTERING AN EXTERNAL GEOMETRY OF BODY-WEARABLE ACTUATABLE COMPONENTS

Aspects described herein include a method comprising receiving one or more sensor signals from one or more sensors that are worn by a wearer, and determining, based on the one or more sensor signals, one or more poses of a leg of the wearer during motion. The method further comprises controlling, based on the one or more poses, a pressure of one or more actuatable components to adjust the leg toward a target pose during the motion. The one or more actuatable components are worn on one or both of the leg and a foot of the wearer.

WHEELCHAIR SYSTEMS AND METHODS HAVING A BRACE ASSEMBLY

Systems and methods of wheelchair systems herein provide a wheelchair capable of providing a brace system that moves between retracted and deployed positions to provide a physical support to the legs of the user to assist the user in transition between a plurality of user positions. Embodiments determine a user request for such assistance and then either deploys and/or retracts the brace system. Embodiments provide for assistance independent of additional people, such as aides, to assist the user in moving or transitioning between the plurality of user positions while also allowing or permitting the wheelchair to function normally when the brace system is in the retracted position.

SOFT ACTUATOR ANKLE SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

An ankle support assembly includes a body having a plurality of fabric layers. The body extends along a longitudinal axis. A sealed, inflatable chamber is supported by the body. A valve member is supported by the body and in fluid communication with the chamber. A plurality of retaining members are positioned relative to the chamber. The retaining members are spaced apart from each other. The retaining members are configured to limit expansion of the chamber in at least one direction. The retaining members are positioned relative to the chamber such that the body has a variable stiffness along the longitudinal axis when the chamber is inflated.

PNEUMATIC COMPRESSION DEVICE WITH VIBRATION AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL

A pneumatic compression assembly that includes a sleeve having an outer layer and an inner layer that defines a sleeve interior configured to receive a body part of a user, and at least a first vibration assembly configured to provide vibration to the body part of the user. A plurality of inflatable compartments are arranged longitudinally along the sleeve between the inner layer and the outer layer. The first vibration assembly includes a plurality of vibration motors positioned between the inner layer and the outer layer of the sleeve.

ADJUSTABLE TOE ORTHOTIC DEVICE

A medical auxiliary equipment, in particular to an adjustable toe orthotic device, with a primary support and a secondary support connected by rotation; the primary and secondary supports are both provided with bandages, separately used for tying the primary support to the arch of the foot and the secondary support to the toe. Pivots of the primary and secondary supports are arranged with a lifting component, which is used to abut on the deformity point of the toe, and by adjusting the lifting distance of the lifting component, it adapts to different degrees of toe deformity. The device adapts to different toe deformities through the adjustment of the lifting degree of the abutting surface, so that the orthotic abutment of the toe orthotic device is always in the state that best matches the toe deformity of users.

ORTHOPEDIC WALKER

An orthopedic walker includes a body formed from at least one polymeric material and having a unitary construction. The body forms first and second portions divided by a median plane and connected to one another by a footbed. The first and second portions extend from the footbed and form an interior volume for receiving a foot and lower leg of a user. The first and second portions are arranged to articulate about or from the median plane to expand and retract the interior volume. The body consists of the first and second portions, and the footbed inclusive of an outsole having a tread as a continuous structure formed unitarily from the at least one polymeric material. The at least one polymeric material is an expanded thermoplastic.

Dynamic support apparatus and system

A dynamic support system includes a control system for controlling inflation and deflation of at least one actuator having an inlet connectable to the a control unit of the dynamic support system. The control unit may be in communication with a sensor and may control inflation and deflation of the at least one actuator in response to information provided by the sensor.
