UNIVERSAL SMART INTERFACE FOR ELECTRONIC LOCKS

A smart module configured to control electronic locking devices may include a plurality of wireless interfaces configured to operate in accordance with at least one of a plurality of wireless protocols. The smart module may include a communications interface having a plurality of pins to couple to an electronic locking device. The smart module may include a memory coupled with the plurality of wireless interfaces, processing circuitry, the communications interface, and a touch display. The memory may include instructions, that when executed by the processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to receive, via the touch display, a request to cause an action on the electronic locking device, and transmit a command to the electronic locking device via the communications interface to cause the action on the electronic locking device.

A system for wirelessly transmitting power between a mobile device and a locking device is provided. In one embodiment power is wirelessly transmitted from the locking device to the mobile device. In another embodiment power is wirelessly transmitted from the mobile device to the locking device. In both embodiments power is transmitted wirelessly when the storage of power is below a critical level in one of the devices (e.g., the mobile device or the locking device). When the power is at a critical level the device (e.g., mobile device or locking device) may not be able to complete a function (e.g., transmit an access credential or actuate a mechanical or electronic lock). As such, wirelessly transmitting power between the mobile device and the locking device may enable the function to be completed.

Systems and methods of using implanted or wearable micro electronic devices and for using a mobile device to communicate with and manage such micro electronic devices

A system, apparatus and method utilize a micro electronic device implanted in a person or group of persons, or wearable thereby, to manage a variety of activities, including interrogating an RF microdevice for information. The microdevice has a housing, an antenna, a microprocessor, a tuning capacitor, and a transducer such as a location transponder, a thermometer, a heart rate transducer, a blood pressure transducer, and an information storage element. The method includes the steps of providing the microdevice and attaching it to a person. The person brings the microdevice near a login system having an RF reader and a login processor. The reader communicates with the microdevice via RF signals, and signals the login processor to corroborate an identification code from the microdevice. If the login processor corroborates the identification code, it signals the microdevice to permit access to information from the transducer. If the login processor does not corroborate the identification code, access to the information is not permitted.

The elongate portion (31) has bitting cuts (33) and a first contact member (34) connecting to the control chip. During an unlock operation, the key (30) is inserted into the channel (24), the first contact member (34) is communicatively connected to the electronic control assembly (50), and the bitting cuts (33) press against the mechanical control assembly (60).

Systems and methods of using implanted or wearable micro electronic devices and for using a mobile device to communicate with and manage such micro electronic devices

A system, apparatus and method utilize a micro electronic device implanted in a person or group of persons, or wearable thereby, to manage a variety of activities, including checking out a product or service from a market, such as a micro-market. The method includes the steps of providing a RF microdevice having an electronic identification code and attaching the microdevice to the user. A checkout system is provided including an RF reader and a processor. The user brings the microdevice near the reader, whereby the reader communicates with the microdevice via RF signals, and the RF reader signals the processor to corroborate the identification code. If the processor corroborates the identification code, the processor signals that a successful product or service checkout has occurred. If the processor does not corroborate the identification code, a checkout is not confirmed.
