SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PROVIDING A WIRELESS UNLOCKING SYSTEM FOR A BATTERY-POWERED STORAGE DEVICE

An example system can include a battery-powered trash compactor or storage device that performs operations including receiving identification information via an external entity from a reader component. The reader component is connected to a control module that manages sensor components or other functions of the battery-powered storage device. The control module also controls a locking mechanism and reader component. Based on the identification information, via the control module, the battery-powered storage device unlocks the locking mechanism.

A method of monitoring access requests to one or more access controls of an access control system is provided. The method comprising: receiving a first access request from a key card to a first access control, the key card being encoded with a credential and an access code; determining that the credential is not authorized to access the first access control; checking a first value of the access code; and rewriting the first value of the access code to a second value of the access code if the first value of the access code does not equal a desired value of failed access request attempts.

ELECTRONIC STORAGE CABINET

A storage container can include at least one movement sensor in or on a frame of the storage container and at least one movement sensor in or on a door of the storage container. A processor can compare outputs of the movement sensors to determine whether the door is open.

AUTOMATIC SLIDING PANEL DEADBOLT LOCK ASSEMBLY
20210198921 · 2021-07-01 ·

A sliding panel deadbolt lock assembly that is associated with a sliding panel that transitions between an open position and a closed position relative to a stationary panel that is coupled to the sliding panel. A sliding panel lock assembly includes a pin that transitions between an engaged position and a retracted position. A first magnetic field sensing device is positioned at the retracted position of the pin when the pin is in the retracted position to enable the sliding panel to transition from the closed position. The first magnetic field sensing device detects a magnetic field generated by a first magnetic field generating device positioned on the pin. The first magnetic field sensing device positioned at the retracted position of the pin is aligned with the first magnetic field generating device positioned on the pin when the pin is in the retracted position.

ELECTRONIC LOCK WITH CLUTCH

A lockset including a bolt mechanism, an exterior assembly, an interior assembly, a driving tailpiece, and a driven tailpiece. The bolt assembly includes a bolt having an extended position and a retracted position. The exterior assembly includes a rotatable exterior manual actuator. The interior assembly includes a clutch having a coupling state and a decoupling state. The driving tailpiece is connected between the exterior manual actuator and the clutch. The driven tailpiece is connected between the clutch and the bolt mechanism such that rotation of the driven tailpiece actuates the bolt assembly. In the coupling state, the clutch couples the driving tailpiece with the driven tailpiece such that the exterior manual actuator is operable to actuate the bolt assembly. In the decoupling state, the clutch decouples the driving tailpiece from the driven tailpiece such that the exterior manual actuator is inoperable to actuate the bolt assembly.

System and method of providing remote management of access to a group of devices

A system can include a processor and a computer-readable storage device storing instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. The operations can include receiving an identification of a local device having a control module that manages a reader component and a locking mechanism and transmitting an authorized list to the local device that identifies authorized users that can gain access to the local device via the locking mechanism through interacting with the reader component. The control module on the local device can manage multiple functions of the local device including management of the reader component and the locking mechanism.

A handheld wireless device for remotely activating a remote controlled system, the handheld wireless device comprising: a casing holding an electrical energy store and circuitry including a transponder arranged to transmit a wireless signal in response to a request received from the remote controlled system; the handheld wireless device further comprising a switching assembly comprising: an electrical switch connected between the electrical energy store and the circuitry, the electrical switch operable by an applied magnetic field to switch the circuitry including transponder on and off; and a mechanical actuator mounted to the casing, the mechanical actuator operable to move a magnet relative to the electrical switch to operate the electrical switch; the mechanical actuator and magnet being located outside the casing and the electrical switch being located inside the casing.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING ACCESS TO PHYSICAL SPACE

Disclosed systems and methods relate to a smart access control reader for an access control system. According to embodiments, a method can include installing the smart access control reader to the access control system by connecting the smart access control reader to the access control system via wiring of the access control system. The method can also include receiving, by the smart access control reader, one or more first credentials for authenticating one or more users by the access control system. The method can further include determining, by the smart access control reader, that the one or more first credentials are authorized. Moreover, the method can include transmitting, by the smart access control reader, a second credential to an access control panel of the access control system, in response to a request by a first user to access an area monitored by the access control system.

DIGITAL LOCK
