Set-top box with enhanced behavioral controls and system and method for use of same
A set-top box with enhanced behavioral controls and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the set-top box, a wireless transceiver is located within a housing, which also interconnectively includes a signal input, a signal output, a processor, and memory. The set-top box may pair with an electronic door locking apparatus coupled to a door that is room-collocated with the set-top box in a hospitality establishment. The set-top box may then reprogram the electronic door locking apparatus as well as control amenities, such as a display, in response to presence signal from the electronic door locking apparatus.
ELECTRIC LOCK DEVICE FOR FURNITURE AND STORAGE
An electric lock device for furniture or storage has an RFID transmitter/receiver for communication with portable data carriers. A controller detects a data carrier nearby, reads a set of data from it, and determines if the data carrier is at least an access requesting or function determining type. If access requesting, the controller retrieves identity information from the read set of data, compares the identity information to stored reference information, and controls an electric activator for a securing member. If function determining, the controller retrieves function determining information from the read set of data and performs any of the following: switching to any of a plurality of operational modes having different principles for access control; reading an operational status; or setting an operational parameter. At least one of these actions is variable controlled and based on a variable value in the function determining information.
CONNECTED LOCK SYSTEM
The invention relates to a connected lock system (1) for a door in the form of a housing, comprising at least one secure unlocking means (4, 5) connected to a door lock (2), a camera (6) and a detector (7) connected to the camera (6), a module for connection to an access management application, a communication module comprising a microphone (8) and a loudspeaker (9) that can be connected to the camera (6).
The invention further relates to a kit, a method and a corresponding assembly.
PHYSICAL ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS WITH LOCALIZATION-BASED INTENT DETECTION
Systems and techniques for a physical access control systems with localization-based intent detection are described herein. In an example, an access control system may regulate access to an asset. The access control system is adapted to establish a first connection with a key-device. The access control system may be further adapted to receive a credential for a user over the first connection. The access control system may be further adapted to establish a second connection with the key-device. The access control system may be further adapted to determine an intent of the user to access the asset. The access control system may use location data derived from the second connection to determine the intent of the user. The access control system may be further adapted to provide the credential to an access controller, based on identifying an intent of the user to access the asset.
Concept for provision of a key signal or an immobilizer signal for a vehicle
A method for a device for a vehicle is disclosed, wherein the device comprises a key chip. The method comprises obtaining information relating to the release of a key signal or of an immobilizer signal from a central computer via a wireless mobile communication system. The method further comprises providing a control signal to the key chip based on the information relating to the release of the key signal or of the immobilizer signal, wherein the control signal is designed to allow the key chip to generate the key signal or the immobilizer signal. The method further comprises providing the key signal and/or the immobilizer signal, by the key chip, via a wireless communication link to a central locking system and/or an immobilizer system of the vehicle after the control signal is obtained.
Communication protocols for electronic locks
A connecting device operating as a gateway in communicating information to a lock device using a first bandwidth wireless communication protocol, and which also operates temporarily as an access point for communicating other information with the lock device using a second bandwidth wireless communication protocol. Temporary, random credential may be used to establish a one-time connection with the connecting device via the access point. Upon completion of the transfer of information using the second bandwidth wireless communication protocol, the access point may be terminated, and the generated credential may become obsolete. The server may also attempt to balance a load on the server by scheduling the timing of at least certain types of communications to lock device based on matching periods of time in which usage of the lock device is low with times that would allow for a balance of the load on the server.
License management using cloud based enrollment
Systems and methods are disclosed for registering a host computing device at a server and registering a lock device at the server via an application running on a mobile computing device, each being provided host keys from the server that allow communication between the host computing device the lock device. Further, the lock device can only be registered with the server if a current registered device count is less than a maximum registered device threshold.
Multifunctional access control device
An access control device that at least assists in controlling the ingress/egress through an entryway. According to certain embodiments, the access control device is operably coupled to an entryway device so as to at least assist in controlling the ability to displace an entryway device from a closed position and/or from an open position. The access control device is structured for communication with a plurality of components of a security management system, and thus may be programmed by one or more modes, including, for example a manual program mode, an off-line managed mode, a wireless off-line management mode, a wireless real-time mode, and/or an off-line real-time mode.

System and method of user code synchronization with Z-wave door locks
Systems and methods of user code synchronization with Z-wave door locks are provided. Methods can include determining an occurrence of a predetermined event, upon the occurrence of the predetermined event, identifying a set of a plurality of user codes stored in a control panel to be synchronized, and wirelessly transmitting the set of the plurality of user codes to be synchronized from the control panel to at least one door lock using a Z-wave communications protocol.
