MANUAL ELECTRONIC DEADBOLT
An electronically-controlled manually-actuated deadbolt lock is provided. The electronically-controlled manually-actuated deadbolt lock includes an internal spring-actuated coupling mechanism that, when a user is authenticated, the coupling mechanism is placed in an engaged position that allows a deadbolt latch to be moved into a locked or unlocked position responsive to a manual rotation of an external bezel. Because the deadbolt latch is manually driven, a warped door condition can be overcome. Additionally, because the deadbolt latch is manually actuated, operation of the electronic motor may be decreased, which may increase battery life.
INPUT DEVICE, ELECTRONIC LOCK INCLUDING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE ELECTRONIC LOCK
An input device includes a touch pad may include a transmissive material, a touch detector disposed at a rear portion of the touch pad, a printed circuit board connected to the touch detector, and a plurality of light emitting devices mounted on the printed circuit board, wherein a plurality of input elements is provided on a back surface of the touch detector. Each input element has at least two symbols that are formed in overlap with each other and in mutually different colors.
Multi position rotary switch operating as a security pin
A multi-position rotary control provides authentication for a battery operated portable communication device. The rotary control provides a rotary switch pin code which is combined with voice authentication as part of an authentication process. Upon completion of authentication, the rotary control reverts back to a default radio control.

System and method of security enhancement in a security panel
Systems and methods of security enhancement in a security panel are provided. Some systems can include a security system and a keyfob. The security system can identify the keyfob, receive user input identifying a valid user pass code, and transmit the valid user pass code to the keyfob. The keyfob can save the received valid user pass code, receive user input identifying a first user input mechanism, receive user input identifying a sequence of user input mechanisms, determine whether the received sequence of user input mechanisms corresponds to the saved valid user pass code, and responsive to a valid correspondence, transmit a signal to the security system with instructions to execute an action associated with the first user input mechanism.
Dual Code Authentication Device
A dual code authentication device has a primary code which accesses a system, such as a banking system, in a conventional manner. The device further has an emergency code which accesses the system and triggers transmission of an alert such that a user may alert authorities the system is being accessed under duress while still appearing to cooperate with a potential thief. The device includes a system which is accessible upon entry of a primary code into an input. The system is also accessible upon entry of an emergency code into the input. A transmitter coupled to the input transmits an alert upon entry of the emergency code into the input wherein entry of the emergency code alerts authorities that accessing the system is being made under duress.
Electronic lock having automatic user slot assignment for passcodes
An electronic lock in which new passcodes can be added and/or deleted without specifying the user slot to which the new passcode should be assigned. A circuit in the electronic lock determines whether the new passcode to be added is unique compared to existing passcodes stored in memory. If so, the circuit searches for an available user slot for which no authorized passcodes are associated and associates the new passcode with an available user slot.
