APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE ACCESS AND FUNCTION CONTROL UTILIZING A PORTABLE DEVICE
20170352215 · 2017-12-07 ·

A system for providing dynamic access to a vehicle via a plurality of devices. A device and/or a server of an authentication network stored fob data relating to one or more key fobs linked to the vehicle, and device data that includes data relating to one or more devices that are authorized to access the vehicle. The vehicle receives an access request indicating that a new device is requesting access to the vehicle, whereupon a challenge may be transmitted to one or more of the authorized devices. The one or more devices may respond, granting access to vehicle functions. The vehicle and/or authentication network generate a secure fob key and access limitations based on the response and transmit the secure fob key to the new device. The new device may be authenticated to access vehicle functions subject to the limitation based at least in part on the fob key.

Key fob dongle

The disclosed method uses a dongle to program a replacement key fob transmitter to a vehicle. The dongle mates to the vehicle's on-board electronics through the vehicle's existing data link. A diagnostic circuit in the dongle determines a communications protocol for programming the key fob transmitter to the vehicle. Audio and visual indicators indicate that communications are established and the successful programming of the key fob transmitter to the vehicle.

Movable Barrier Operator and Transmitter Pairing Over a Network

In one aspect of the present disclosure, a system and method are provided for pairing a network-enabled movable barrier operator with a transmitter. The method may include receiving a pairing request, retrieving a hashed version of the transmitter fixed code, verifying access authorization, and forwarding the hashed version of the transmitter fixed code to a movable barrier operator to allow the movable barrier operator to determine whether a new transmitter is authorized to control the movable barrier operator.

PHYSICAL ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS WITH LOCALIZATION-BASED INTENT DETECTION

Systems and techniques for a physical access control systems with localization-based intent detection are described herein. In an example, an access control system may regulate access to an asset. The access control system is adapted to establish a first connection with a key-device. The access control system may be further adapted to receive a credential for a user over the first connection. The access control system may be further adapted to establish a second connection with the key-device. The access control system may be further adapted to determine an intent of the user to access the asset. The access control system may use location data derived from the second connection to determine the intent of the user. The access control system may be further adapted to provide the credential to an access controller, based on identifying an intent of the user to access the asset.

SMARTPHONE WITH INTEGRATED MULTI-TRANSPONDER MODE KEY DEVICE

A smartphone having: a configurable radio frequency transmitter; a configurable low frequency transponder with at least one low frequency coil; and a smartphone application program that is controlled by a cloud service and that is configured to configure the radio frequency transmitter and the low frequency transponder with protocol parameters and initial data values such that the low frequency transponder mimics a virgin key device that can be programmed to a particular vehicle model.

Method for monitoring access to electronically controllable devices

A method for monitoring access to an electronically controllable device includes establishing communication between a mobile device and a control platform via a communication network. A booking, including first and second data, is created for a controllable device in the platform. The first data is access information and the second data is encrypted with an individual key which is assigned to an access control unit in the controllable device. The mobile device is wirelessly connected to the access unit and the second data, as well as a subset of the first data, is transmitted to the access unit which decrypts the second data and checks its signature. If the check is successful, a configuration of the access unit is adapted as a function of the decrypted data. Authorization for access to the controllable device by the mobile device is checked as a function of the decrypted data.

Remote auditing of electronic keys

Embodiments relate to enhanced auditing features for administration of remote electronic keys. An electronic key delivers electrical power to an electronic lock to energize circuitry thereof. The electrical power may energize an electric motor or solenoid. Based on access control information associated with the electronic key, an unlocking signal is conveyed from the electronic key that causes the electronic lock to change from a locked state to an unlocked state, thereby permitting a user of the key to access one or more resources secured by the lock. The electronic key stores details related to the unlocking event in memory sites. In some aspects, the electronic key broadcasts a message via a wireless wide area network (WWAN). The message may include a request to establish a WWAN communications link with an access control server located away from the electronic key. Responsive to establishing the WWAN communications link, the electronic key initiates a transfer of data to the access control server, the data including details related to the unlocking event.

Authentication method and user equipment

An authentication method used in a server, includes: acquiring check-in information sent by user equipment (UE) of a user, wherein the check-in information includes information on the user and a check-in period; determining information on a room of the user based on the check-in information; sending the information on the room to the UE; determining unlocking information based on the check-in information; and sending the unlocking information to at least one of the UE or door lock equipment corresponding to the information on the room, wherein the door lock equipment is configured to authenticate the user based on the unlocking information during the check-in period, the unlocking information being invalid other than during the check-in period.

Concept for provision of a key signal or an immobilizer signal for a vehicle

A method for a device for a vehicle is disclosed, wherein the device comprises a key chip. The method comprises obtaining information relating to the release of a key signal or of an immobilizer signal from a central computer via a wireless mobile communication system. The method further comprises providing a control signal to the key chip based on the information relating to the release of the key signal or of the immobilizer signal, wherein the control signal is designed to allow the key chip to generate the key signal or the immobilizer signal. The method further comprises providing the key signal and/or the immobilizer signal, by the key chip, via a wireless communication link to a central locking system and/or an immobilizer system of the vehicle after the control signal is obtained.
