FLAT FOOT ORTHOSIS
20220313468 · 2022-10-06 ·

A flat foot orthosis has two bodies and a pelvis portion. Each one of the two bodies has a wearing space, a foot portion, an ankle portion, a shank portion, a knee portion, a thigh portion, a toe portion, a hallux valgus region, a substrate, a first elastomer, and a second elastomer. The substrate and the first elastomer are disposed adjacent to each other, and surround the wearing space. The substrate extends from the toe portion to the thigh portion. The first elastomer spirally extends from an instep of the foot portion to the thigh portion through the rest. The two first elastomers surround and fetter where the wearer's pelvis and the wearer's waist meet. The second elastomer extends from the hallux sheath, is connected to the first elastomer, and wraps over the hallux valgus region.

DEVICE FOR PROTECTING THE PLANTAR PADDING

A device for protecting a plantar pad of a foot, including: a pad including a viscoelastic material, configured to be held on the skin of the plantar region, and to cover all the metatarsal heads and metatarsophalangeal joints of the foot, and an elastic strap attached to lateral edges of the pad, and including a transverse and a longitudinal portion forming a brace configured to pass between a big toe and an adjacent toe, the longitudinal portion having a distal edge fixed to a distal edge of the pad, the transverse portion having a distal edge delimiting, with the pad and a lateral edge of the longitudinal portion, an aperture for the passage of the second to fifth toes, the distal edge of the transverse portion and the lateral edge having, in a unstretched flat state, rectilinear portions forming between them an angle between 75 and 100°.

Dynamic tension brace or support

The invention comprises an elastomeric athletic or orthopedic brace, support for a joint complex and is a network of interlinking elastomeric bands that extend radially from a hub member to support a joint in tension but provide for controlled hinging about an axis defined through the hub member. In particular, the brace is provided for an ankle.

FOOT NEUROPATHY SPRINGS (FNS)

These FOOT NEUROPATHY SPRINGS are devices to help people suffering from genetic diseases or injury that affects a person’s ability to move their feet and that might have a condition known as FOOT DROP. This device helps to correct FOOT DROP, minimize a limp, improve balance, and help propel the person forward by replacing weak muscles with energized springs.

SURGICAL TRACTION BOOT HAVING RESILIENT HEEL PAD AND MEDIAL AND LATERAL STRAPS
20230141450 · 2023-05-11 ·

A surgical boot apparatus for use in surgery involving hip distraction includes a boot shell having a sole portion configured for placement adjacent a sole of a foot of a patient and a calf portion configured for placement adjacent a calf of the patient. The boot shell has a heel-receiving opening located between the sole portion and the calf portion and configured for receipt of a heel of the patient. A resilient pad is provided having a main portion configured for engaging an Achilles area of the patient. The main portion includes an end region that extends into the heel-receiving opening. The end region has an end edge that includes a notch configured for receipt of a calcaneus of the patient.

Lower Extremity Isolating Leg Brace

A leg brace isolates a lower extremity of a leg to which the brace is secured. The leg brace includes an upper leg cuff and a lower leg cuff. Two upper struts are attached to opposite sides of the upper leg cuff and extend along the upper leg cuff. Two lower struts are attached to opposite sides of the lower leg cuff and extend along the lower leg cuff. One hinge pivotally connects one upper strut and one lower strut and a second hinge pivotally connects the other upper strut and the other lower strut. The hinges can be configured to have a limited and/or selectable degree of rotation (e.g., flexion and/or extension). Bottom ends of the lower struts extend beyond a user's foot of the leg to which the leg brace is attached. A foot is attached to each bottom end of the lower struts.

SEMI-ACTIVE ROBOTIC JOINT

A robotic joint comprises a first link, a middle link, a torque generator, a second link, and a locking mechanism. Different ends of the middle link are rotatably coupled to the first link and the second link. The torque generator is coupled to the first link and the middle link and is configured to produce a torque between these links. The locking mechanism is switchable between a locking state and an unlocking state. In the unlocking state, the locking mechanism allows free rotation of the second link relative to the middle link in the first and second rotation directions. In the locking state, the locking mechanism is configured to impede rotation of the second link relative to the middle link in the first rotation direction and to allow rotation of the second link relative to the middle link in the second rotation direction opposite of the first rotation direction.

Ankle reinforcing device
20170367865 · 2017-12-28 ·

My invention is an ankle reinforcing device for the prevention of medial and/or lateral ankle injuries such as sprains or breaks. The object of the invention is to provide an inexpensive but highly effective device which will allow free and unhampered movement of the wearer's foot while engaged in athletic events or other physical activity but will prevent movement in such a direction and to such an extent that would result in spraining or breaking an ankle. The ankle reinforcing device is constructed from an underlying member which covers all or part of the foot and part of the leg above the ankle, reinforcing members attached to or integral with the underlying member, and means to securely attach the device to the wearer. The reinforcing members are arranged in a pattern to prevent excessive movement of the ankle in the medial and/or lateral directions, while allowing free up and down movement of the foot.

Ankle foot orthosis
09849020 · 2017-12-26 ·

An ankle foot orthosis to be worn inside a common shoe that corrects ankle pronation by gently axially rotating and rolling the foot in the corrective direction by pulling from the shin assembly while further enhancing the corrective rolling with strategically placed posts on the medial edge of the sole. Rigidity of the foot assembly is paired with the flexibility of the shin assembly for donning a foot into the device when combined with a wide variety of common shoes. Features are also provided to A) support the longitudal, transverse, metatarsal, and peroneal arches, thus enhancing the stability of the foot; and B) to support the plantar vault, thus enhancing the stability of the foot.
