Package receiving station
11544663 · 2023-01-03 · ·

Package delivery to homes or after-hours business delivery exposes a package to theft, weather damage, and extreme temperatures. To receive and protect delivered packages, a package receiving station is configured to receive package from delivery vehicles. The station includes walls that extend upward to create an interior space of the station and a roof or other movable portion that is moveable between a first position covering the interior space and a second position allowing access to the interior space. A motor causes movement of the moveable roof or movable portion and an access portal in the wall allows access into the interior space to retrieve the package. A receiver receives a signal from or detects the arrival of the delivery vehicle and generates a control signal. A controller, responsive to the control signal, sends an activation signal to the motor to move the moveable roof or movable portion.

ELECTRONIC TAG LOCK

A lockable food delivery box apparatus for preventing food tampering and contamination includes an insulated box defining a storage cavity configured to store food items for delivery. A box lid is selectively engageable with an open side of the insulated box. An electronic lock is coupled to the insulated box and is in operational communication with the box lid to secure and alternatively free the box lid. The electronic lock has a transceiver configured to be in operational communication with a smartphone. A heating coil is coupled to the insulated box to raise the temperature within the storage cavity. A cooling system is coupled to the insulated box to lower the temperature within the storage cavity. A power supply is coupled within the insulated box and is in operational communication with the heating coil, the cooling system, and the electronic lock.

Transaction management system, transaction management method, and program

A system for managing a transaction of an item between first and second users includes a first lock attached to the item, a storage unit having a second lock attached thereto and physically storing the item, and a processor that manages a first privilege to open the first lock and a second privilege to open the second lock. The processor performs management so that a holder of the first and second privileges is the first user. Upon receiving, from the storage unit, information indicating the second lock being opened, the processor performs management so that a first transaction is concluded in which the first user tentatively receives the item from the second user. Upon receiving, from the first lock, information indicating the first lock being opened, the processor performs management so that a second transaction is concluded in which the first user inspects the item and finally receives the item.

Apparatus for Detection of Driver and Vehicle Performance, Fuel Efficiency and Presence of Humans or Mammals in Vehicle Storage Area

The invention relates to the provision of apparatus and a method to determine the operation of a vehicle and provide monitoring of the same and the condition of a storage area capable of being transported as part of the vehicle. The storage area includes one or more detection devices provided in the same and which are in communication with the operator of the vehicle and/or external personnel or organisations so as to detect a change in condition of the vehicle and in particular if the change exceeds predetermined parameters.

Automated Inventory System and Method of Use Thereof

An improved automated inventory system is herein disclosed. The improved automated system (AIS) can comprise an enclosure for storing one or more items, one or more RFID readers, and a control system. Each of the items are tagged with an RFID (radio frequency identification) tag. The enclosure can comprise a plurality of of interior surfaces that defines an interior space within said enclosure. The enclosure can also comprise one or more access points within the interior surfaces that allow access to the items within the enclosure. Each of the RFID readers can be capable of reading the RFID tag. The control system can be in communication with the one or more RFID readers.

Authentication information control system, authentication information control method, and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium

A control unit issues temporary authentication information for disabling a locking/unlocking process to a user terminal satisfying a first condition. The control unit determines whether first authentication information has been issued to another user terminal, issues second authentication information to the user terminal to which the temporary authentication information has been issued when the first authentication information has not been issued to another user terminal, and issues the second authentication information to the user terminal to which the temporary authentication information has been issued with detection of ending of use of the first authentication information in another user terminal as a trigger when the first authentication information has been issued to the other user terminal.

Secure transport container

An apparatus includes a controller configured to initiate attachment of a first locking bar of a transport container to a first anchor point of a structure by adjusting the first locking bar from a first unlocked state to a first locked state. The controller is also configured to confirm a locking of the first locking bar to the first anchor point. The controller is further configured to, in response to confirming the locking, initiate a release of a second locking bar of the transport container from a second anchor point by adjusting the second locking bar from a second locked state to a second unlocked state.

Inventory tracking scaled locking canister

An inventory tracking scaled locking canister has a housing, a closure, a commodity container positioned within the housing and releasably sealed within the housing by the closure through an electrically disengageable magnetic locking mechanism, at least one weight sensor, a processing unit, a biometric sensor, a digital display, a data storage unit, a wireless communication device, a power source, and a GPS module. The commodity container may have multiple nested frames with perforations that allow smaller byproducts of the contents of the central frame to be separated from the bulk of the contents. The weight of each frame is measured individually through one or more load cells. The biometric sensor prevents unauthorized access to the commodity container. The processing unit facilitates data collection, storage, and transmittal through the wireless communication device to a remote server. The GPS module tracks the location of the canister in case of theft.
