ELECTRONIC KEY FOR VEHICLE
An electronic key for a vehicle includes an upper case component of a key case, a lower case component attachable to the upper case component, and a mechanical key that is selected from among a first mechanical key that is used in a state of being totally removed from the key case and a second mechanical key that is used in a protruding state of partially protruding from the key case. The lower case component is selected, so as to correspond to the mechanical key, from among a first lower case component that accommodates the first mechanical key to be removable and a second lower case component that accommodates the second mechanical key to be movable into the protruding state.
ELECTRONIC LOCK WITH IMPROVED POWER SCHEME
An electronic lock that includes a hybrid capacitor in the power supply circuit that also includes a battery as the primary source of electrical power. A Li-SOCl2 battery is used as the primary power source, and the hybrid capacitor is used as a secondary (or backup) power source, and the power supply circuit disclosed herein overcomes many of the shortcomings of those two individual power sources. A proper combination of these two solutions is very complimentary in terms of delivering the power needs of electronic lock systems over a wide temperature range, operational conditions, and battery discharge states. The results obtained by use of this type of power supply circuit are increased primary battery longevity, increased performance at low temperatures, easier battery level sensing of the primary Li-SOCl2 cell, as well as overcoming the voltage delay that is present in primary batteries of this chemistry.
Compensating element with relative position display
A compensating element having first and second modules is disclosed. A locking mechanism which can be switched between a first and a second operating state is provided. The first module is connected firmly to the second module in the first operating state. The first operating state defines a zero position between the first and the second module. The first and the second module are connected to one another in the second operating state by a spring mechanism in such a way that they are movable relative to one another. The compensating element has a midaxis, and the first and the second module are arranged at least partially next to one another in the direction of the midaxis. A measuring system is also disclosed with which the relative position between the first and the second module can be measured. The first or second module includes an externally visible luminous surface. A luminous state of the luminous surface is dependent on the relative position measured by the measuring system.
Key with a button for an electromechanical locking device
A key for an electromechanical locking device includes a key bow, and with the key bow includes a housing and an, in particular single, button. The housing includes an actuating section for actuating the button and a support section for supporting the actuating section, with the actuating section and the support section being configured in one piece with one another.
Shielded communications system
A system includes a vehicle receiver and a fob. The fob includes a shield which defines a shield cavity. A transmitter is located with the shield cavity and is programmed to send signals to the vehicle receiver. The shield cavity is shielded to direct signals transmitted by the transmitter toward the vehicle receiver when the fob engages and is pushed toward the vehicle receiver.
Electronic key for a security system with a mechanism for releasing a battery compartment cover
An electronic key for a security system including an access control system and/or driving authorization control system, for a motor vehicle, with a housing within which electronics for wireless communication with the security system are disposed. The key further includes a holding compartment formed in the housing, wherein the holding compartment an energy storage device for supplying electrical energy to the electronics is located. A cover is releasably fastened on the housing and sealingly closes the holding compartment in an inserted position of the cover. The key further includes a slot formed on the housing for receiving a mechanical key. A mechanism is disposed within the slot such that the mechanism can be activated by moving the mechanical key within the slot, whereby detachment of the cover from the housing can be effected.
Monitoring items in an area accessible through an electronic locking device
An illustrative example embodiment of a locking device includes a lock that selectively allows access to an area when the lock is unlocked. A processor is configured to control whether the lock is locked or unlocked. A transceiver is configured to communicate with a communication hub that is remote from the locking device. The processor is configured to cause the transceiver to provide an indication to the communication hub when the lock has been unlocked. The indication includes an instruction that the communication hub should begin monitoring a condition of at least one preselected item within the area.
Vehicle-mounted apparatus
A vehicle-mounted apparatus comprising: a main body portion; and an electronic key accommodating portion that accommodates an electronic key of a vehicle and is attachable to and detachable from the main body portion, wherein the electronic key accommodating portion includes a switching unit that switches detection states of a first detection unit and a second detection unit according to an attachment or detachment operation of the electronic key accommodating portion to or from the main body portion, the first detection unit is provided in the main body portion for detecting an accommodation state of the electronic key in the electronic key accommodating portion, and the second detection unit is provided in the main body portion for detecting an attachment or detachment state of the electronic key accommodating portion with respect to the main body portion.
Smart key and method of manufacturing thereof
Disclosed is a smart key in which an auxiliary key can be inserted and a method of manufacturing the smart key. The smart key for a vehicle comprises a substrate on which components are mounted; a key accommodation unit formed on the substrate, and a housing into which an auxiliary key is capable of being inserted and a plurality of protrusions arranged inside the housing such that the auxiliary key is sandwiched between the plurality of protrusions when the auxiliary key is inserted into the housing; and a case covering the substrate and the key accommodation unit, wherein the housing includes a through-hole configured such that a part of the housing adjacent to the through-hole is capable of flexibly displacing relative to the other parts of the housing to widen a vertical gap in the housing by an external force applied to the auxiliary key.
