METHOD FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING AT LEAST A FIRST FUNCTION OF A SAFETY DEVICE OF A VEHICLE
The invention relates to a method (100) for remotely controlling at least a first function of a security device (1) of a vehicle (2), wherein a remote control device (10) has a first radio unit (12), whereby a connection to a mobile radio network (4) can be established. According to the invention, the following steps are carried out: a) determining the position of the vehicle (2) b) determining the position of the remote control device (10) c) determining an actual distance (20) between the position of the vehicle (2) and the remote control device (10) d) comparing the actual distance (20) with at least one defined specified distance (21), wherein the first function is activated if the actual distance (20) is less than or equal to the specified distance (21).
Simultaneous button press secure keypad code entry
A keypad having a plurality of switches identifies a numerical value according to user input to the plurality of switches. The numerical value may be computed as a total count of the plurality of switches that are swiped across in a consistent direction or may be computed as a total count of the plurality of switches that are simultaneously pressed. The keypad may further send the numerical value to a controller configured to facilitate access to vehicle unlock functionality.
AUTHENTICATION OF USERS WITH TREMORS
A device receives a first input for authenticating a user and determines the first input fails to authenticate the user. One or more errors are identified in the input which match a tremor pattern for the user and the one or more errors are corrected to generate a corrected input. The user is authenticated using the corrected input.
Security-reinforced door lock, and gate security management system using same door lock
The present invention relates to a security-reinforced door lock, the security of which is reinforced, and a gate security management system using the same door lock, wherein: a double-unlock function using a security code stored in a user portable terminal, and a password input by a user's keystrokes may be provided so as to enhance user convenience; after a user enters or exits using a security code, the door lock itself may update the security code and the password together, generate multiple different passwords, and restrict the reuse of a single-used password or permit the reuse thereof only within a predetermined time, so as to allow the entry or exit of people who do not own a terminal in which a security code is stored, and prevent the leakage of the password; and multiple-visitor management for a door lock installed at a facility as well as a door lock for a single-woman household can be facilitated, and high security can be provided.

Apparatus and Method For Maintaining a Delivered-Package Vault
An enterprise facility having a plurality of enterprise associates can further have a plurality of delivered-package vaults that each have a selectively-lockable access portal. At least some of these delivered-package vaults are not generally assigned to any particular associate but instead are assigned on an as-needed basis. At least some of the delivered-package vaults include a sensor disposed and configured to detect a level of sanitation within the delivered-package vault. The control circuit operably couples to that sensor and serves to detect a level of sanitation within the corresponding delivered-package vaults to determine when cleaning of a particular one of those delivered-package vaults is required. By one approach the control circuit can automatically task one or more persons with cleaning a delivered-package vault that requires such attention.
USER INTERFACE AND METHOD FOR THE PROTECTED INPUT OF CHARACTERS
A simple gesture control system that permits accurate, simple, and secure input of personal identification numbers (PIN) by visually impaired or blind persons at a payment terminal or automatic teller machine is provided. By the user interface, invisible keys can be selected by simple wiping gestures. Here, any necessity for visual or spoken feedback or localization of operating elements is rendered unnecessary. As a result, blind or visually impaired users can input a secret number by touch operation automatically and without outside help. In this way, account is also taken of the statutory requirements in different countries.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ACCESS TO A SECURED BUILDING
The present invention provides for methods and systems for accessing a secured building. The method includes retrieving information from a code associated with a carrier and an address. The code may be a barcode with encoded information. The method further includes confirming that the address is associated with the secured building and further validating the carrier as an authorized carrier by an identification of the carrier. The method further includes validating a status associated with the information to be one of: in transit; and out for delivery. Upon positive response of the status, the method further includes allowing access to the secured building. In some embodiments, prior to allowing access to the secured building, the method further includes checking that an update to the status is within 24 hours.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR OFFLINE VERIFICATION CODE GENERATION BASED ON SMART DOOR LOCK SYSTEM
The present disclosure provides a method and a system for offline verification code generation based on a smart door lock system. The method may include in response to an unlocking event, recording, by a mobile terminal, a trigger time of the unlocking event; in response to the unlocking event, sending, by the mobile terminal, a request for unlocking verification information to a cloud server, wherein the request for the unlocking verification information is used to request the cloud server to return a verification code of a smart door lock, and the unlocking verification information includes a private key seed of the smart door lock and the trigger time; and receiving, by the mobile terminal, the verification code of the smart door lock for opening the smart door lock generated by the cloud server based on the private key seed and the trigger time.
