Orthopedic device, strap system and method for securing the same
An orthopedic device includes a frame, a strap system including first and second straps connecting to the frame, and an adjustment mechanism couples to the first and second straps and simultaneously regulates tension in the first and second straps by moving the first and second straps relative to the frame. The strap system includes a length adjustment system for modifying the length of the strap.
Hand Brace
A brace for a person's hand has a cradle shaped to extend over the side of the hand in the area between a person's wrist crease and pinky-finger. The cradle may include two opposing curved sides, each side being joined to the other along a longitudinal edge. Opposite the longitudinal edge, each side has a distal edge. The distal edges may be spaced apart from each other by a distance that is approximately the thickness of a person's hand in the area extending from the person's wrist crease to the interstice between the pinky-finger and ring-finger. The cradle is shaped to extend over a side of the wearer's hand between a person's wrist crease and pinky-finger.
POSITIONING DEVICE AND SYSTEM FORMED OF A POSITIONING DEVICE AND BASE BODY OF AN ORTHOPAEDIC DEVICE
A positioning device for arranging and orienting multiple securing elements on a base layer of a base body of an orthopaedic device. The positioning device includes a first holder having at least one receiving device for a securing element, and a second holder having at least one receiving device for a securing element, wherein the first holder and the second holder are mounted on one another such that they can swivel about a swivel axis about a restricted angular range starting from a starting position.
Adjustable knee brace
A knee brace with an articulation assembly connectable with a first cuff movable with respect to the articulation assembly about a first location defining a first pivot axis between the first cuff and articulation assembly, and movable about a second location defining a first rotation axis between the first cuff and articulation assembly. The knee brace may have a second cuff connectable with the articulation assembly and movable with respect to the articulation assembly about a third location defining a second pivot axis between the second cuff and articulation assembly. The second cuff is movable about a fourth location defining a second rotation axis between the second cuff and articulation assembly. The first pivot axis and first rotation axis may intersect each other or be offset from intersecting each other, the second pivot axis and second rotation axis may intersect each other or be offset from intersecting.
ORTHOPAEDIC TECHNICAL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME
An orthopedic technical device having a top part and a bottom part, which are connected to each other by at least one joint device so as to be pivotable about a joint axis, and at least one attachment device with which the orthopedic technical device can be fixed to a limb. The orthopedic technical device also has an actuator, which is fixed to attachment points on the top part and the bottom part and influences a pivoting of the top part relative to the bottom part, wherein the orientation of the bottom part can be adjusted relative to the limb which is fixable to the upper part.
TEXTILE PART
A textile part, in particular a textile orthopedic aid, having a textile main panel as well as at least one functional element from plastics material which is disposed on the main panel, wherein at least one planar cover element which engages only in portions across the functional element disposed in the main panel and which also extends across the main panel is provided, wherein the cover element is connected to the main panel and/or the functional element, and the functional element is connected to the main panel in a materially integral manner.
ORTHOSIS
An orthosis is provided, including: a first supporting member, a second supporting member, a pivot mechanism and an attachment mechanism. The first supporting member is configured to be attached to an inner side of a foot and correspond to a big toe. The second supporting member is configured to be attached to the inner side of the foot and correspond to a metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint of the big toe. The first supporting member and the second supporting member are rotatably connected with the pivot mechanism, and the pivot mechanism has a pivot axis configured to correspond to a distal interphalangeal (DIP) joint of the big toe. The attachment mechanism is configured to attach the first supporting member and the second supporting member to the foot.
ADJUSTING DEVICE, AND ORTHOSIS HAVING AN ADJUSTING DEVICE
An adjusting device for adjustably securing at least two orthotic components to each other. The adjusting device includes a first holder which has a first fastening element for securing a first orthotic component, and a second holder which has a second fastening element for securing to a second orthotic component. The holders are mounted such that they can be moved in relation to each other and secured to each other in at least two orientations.
Waterproof Ankle-Foot Orthosis
An ankle-foot orthosis which is capable of being worn by a user in an acquatic environment which is lightweight, water-resistant, and reduces the amount of hydrodynamic drag during motion of a leg of a user when in water. The ankle-foot orthosis can be fully customizable to the needs of the user. The ankle-foot orthosis including three protective components; a shank shell, a shin plate, and a foot shell. The ankle-foot orthosis optionally including an additional protective component; a dorsal foot plate. At least one flow passage within each of the shank shell and the foot shell. The at least one flow passage providing water drainage and air ventilation, and reducing the overall weight of the shank shell and foot shell.
JOINT DEVICE
A joint device of an orthosis or prosthesis or for an orthosis or prosthesis with an upper part, a lower part, a joint that comprises a joint axis, about which the upper part is mounted such that it can be swivelled relative to the lower part, and an actuator, which is designed to influence a swivelling of the upper part relative to the lower part. The actuator is mounted at an upper part fixing point on the upper part and at a lower part fixing point on the lower part. At least two joints are arranged between the upper part fixing point and the lower part fixing point, wherein the joints enable a swivelling of the actuator relative to the upper part fixing point and the lower part fixing point, and the joint each form at least one joint axis, at least one of which is not oriented parallel to the joint axis.
