BANKNOTE VALIDATION DEVICE AND PROCESSING INSPECTION APPARATUS
A banknote validation device includes a light source array which includes multiple light emission units; a light receiver configured to receive light emitting from the light emission units and to generate, upon receiving the light emitting from the light emission units, a detection signal corresponding thereto; a banknote channel arranged between the light source array and the light receiver; and a control circuit electrically connected to the light source array and the light receiver. The banknote channel is configured to receive a banknote to be validated to pass therethrough. The light receiver is arranged to correspond to multiple light emission units. The control circuit is configured to control the light emission units of the light source array to sequentially emit light according to a preset timing sequence of lighting. The present invention allows for inspection of a banknote to be validated with a simplified structure at the same accuracy.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR ASCERTAINING DOCUMENT LIVENESS
A document liveness detection method comprising using a hardware processor for prompting an end-user of an electronic device, having a camera, to provide an image sequence of a physical document whose orientation is undergoing change; and image-processing the image sequence to yield an output indication of whether or not the image sequence was generated by capturing a live or physical document; and providing the output indication to at least one computerized system or human.

Apparatus and method for identification with reference image and reference distance
An identification apparatus or system includes an estimation unit that estimates an operating distance between the surface of an optical device and an imaging unit as an estimated value. A reference distance refers to the distance between a first face of an identification target and the imaging unit and at which light diffracted by a diffraction grating is capable of being recorded by the imaging unit. A first determination unit is included that determines whether the estimated value matches the reference distance and a second determination unit that determines whether an image captured by the imaging unit matches a reference image. Conditions for identifying the optical device as the identification target include a condition that the first determination unit determines that the estimated value matches the reference distance and a condition that the second determination unit determines that the image captured by the imaging unit matches the reference image.
Container for payment cards with hidden features
A payment card includes hidden features (e.g., textual messages, graphics, emphasis features associated with conspicuous features of the payment card, or the like) undiscernible under only visible light, but discernable under ultraviolet light. The hidden features can be incorporated into multiple layers of a side of the payment card and can be present at different transparencies. A container (e.g., presentation box) can include a circuit to detect when the container is opened and cause the hidden features to be illuminated with ultraviolet light. The ultraviolet light source can be incorporated into the container itself, or can be incorporated into the payment card (e.g., activated by supplying a signal to the payment card from the container).
Single-stage active integrator with multiplication of photodiode current
An embodiment of this disclosure provides an automated payment apparatus. The apparatus includes a photodiode current integrator configured to charge an integration capacitor. The photodiode current integrator includes a first feedback resistor connected along a negative feedback path of an operational amplifier between an output of the operational amplifier and a negative input of the operational amplifier. The photodiode current integrator also includes a second feedback resistor connected along a positive feedback path of the operational amplifier between the output of the operational amplifier and a positive input of the operational amplifier. The photodiode current integrator also includes an integration capacitor connected to the positive input of the operational amplifier and to common circuit ground. The photodiode current integrator also includes a reset switch connected to the positive input of the operational amplifier and to common circuit ground or to additional voltage source. The photodiode current integrator also includes a photodiode connected to the positive input and the negative input of the operational amplifier.

METHOD AND SENSOR FOR TESTING VALUE DOCUMENTS
AMENDMENT TO THE ABSTRACT Please replace the Abstract in the application with the following Abstract, insert the following after the claims:
ABSTRACT A method for checking value documents, in particular with regard to their authenticity and/or with regard to their value-document type, involves the following steps: detecting a first plurality of intensity courses on a value document, combining the first plurality of intensity courses or a second plurality of intensity courses selected from the first plurality into a combined intensity course, determining a time constant τ of the combined intensity course, checking the value document based on the time constant τ of the combined intensity course. A corresponding sensor is provided for checking value documents, and an apparatus enables value-document processing with the aforementioned sensor.
