A valuable media cassette comprises a cover and a valuable media storage base. The cover comprises two ink bags filled with indelible ink. Each ink bag situated on opposing sides of an inside portion of the cover and encased by a blast energy collection plate such that portions of the bag extends partially through serrated teeth of the blast energy collection plate. The blast energy collection plates harness energy associated with a blast force causing the serrated teeth to displace and puncture the ink bags when a blast occurs. The indelible ink is dispersed throughout an inside of the cassette coating the valuable media stored in the cassette with the indelible ink and rendering the valuable media unusable or damaged.

A process facilitator in communication with a safe located at a first location of an entity external to the process facilitator and further in communication with a banking institution located at a second location external to the process facilitator and different from the first location, wherein the process facilitator functions as an intermediary between the safe and the banking institution in order to reduce the processing requirements on the safe and the improve the efficiency of electronic communications with the banking institution. A system comprising the process facilitator and one or more safes in communication with the process facilitator and using the process facilitator as the intermediary between the safes and the banking institution is also described.

A pusher plate stacking bin apparatus is provided for a valuable media depository. The apparatus comprising a pusher plate driven by a rack and pinion apparatus to stack a media item that is in a final position within the apparatus onto a media stacking platform. The media item is urged into the final position such that a trailing edge of the media item overhangs and rests on a fixed media guide and such that a leading edge of the media item overhangs and rests on a hinged media guide with a bottom surface of the media item elevated above the media stacking platform. The rack and pinion apparatus drives the plate past the media guides causing the hinged media guide to drop and the media item to fold along the leading edge as the media item is stacked onto the platform.

A banknote handling system includes an unlocking system. The unlocking system includes a camera, a first mechanical arm to which one or a plurality of keys are affixed, and a controller that determines a position of a keyhole based on an image from the camera, and controls the first arm to insert one of the one or the plurality of keys into the keyhole and turn the inserted key for unlocking. In many examples, the unlocking system is configured to unlock a banknote cashbox.

A banknote handling system includes an unlocking system. An embodiment of this disclosure provides a sealing system for cash bags. The system includes a banknote validator, a head coupled to the banknote validator, a bag of a roll of bags, the bag configured to mount to the head, a first sealing mechanism coupled to the head and configured to seal a top portion of the bag, a second sealing mechanism configured to seal a bottom portion of the bag, and a vacuum pump configured to connect to the bag and configured to pump air from the bag.
