An objective of the present disclosure is to prevent paper sheets from being folded or damaged when the paper sheets are stacked. A paper sheet stacking mechanism (banknote stacking mechanism 50) includes stacking wheels 52, rotary rollers 54, a transport mechanism 70 configured to insert a paper sheet between vanes 52b of the stacking wheels, and a guide (center guide 55) having a guide surface 551 configured to guide the paper sheet. The guide surface has a curved shape having a diameter about a rotary shaft, and the diameter gradually increases from an upstream side toward a downstream side in a rotation direction of the stacking wheels.

In a money handling system (10), a storage cassette (40) is detachably mounted to each of a money change machine (20) and a money depositing/dispensing machine (30) (money handling machine). A determination unit (51) is provided for determining whether or not money has been sent into the money depositing/dispensing machine (30) from all the storage cassettes (40) to which money has been sent from the money change machine (20) when a plurality of the storage cassettes (40) are used in a collection process.

In a money handling system (10), a storage cassette (40) is detachably mounted to each of a money change machine (20) and a money depositing/dispensing machine (30) (money handling machine). A determination unit (51) is provided for determining whether or not money has been sent into the money depositing/dispensing machine (30) from all the storage cassettes (40) to which money has been sent from the money change machine (20) when a plurality of the storage cassettes (40) are used in a collection process.

A banknote handling device is provided with which it is possible to constantly demonstrate sufficient device processing performance, and which prevents collisions between a transportation direction switching means and a banknote even when the operation speed of the transportation direction switching means changes. Accordingly, a paper sheet handling device for handling a plurality of paper sheets and switching the transportation direction includes: a transportation path for transporting at least one paper sheet and a transportation direction switching means for switching the direction of transportation of the paper sheet; and a paper sheet handling control means for controlling, in accordance with the constantly-changing operation speed of the transportation direction switching means, at least one of the operation timing of the transportation direction switching means, the speed of transportation of a paper sheet, and the distance between a paper sheet and a preceding paper sheet.

A money handling apparatus comprises a housing; a first cassette attachment unit and a second cassette attachment unit that are provided in the housing; a first transport unit that performs a depositing processing to deposit money from a first cassette, attached to the first cassette attachment unit, into the housing; a second transport unit that performs a dispensing processing to dispense money from the housing as a change fund into a second cassette that is attached to the second cassette attachment unit; and processing circuitry configured to control the first transport unit and the second transport unit.

A money handling apparatus comprises a housing, a first cassette attachment unit and a second cassette attachment unit that are provided in the housing; a first transport unit that performs a depositing processing to deposit money from a first cassette, attached to the first cassette attachment unit, into the housing; a second transport unit that performs a dispensing processing to dispense money from the housing as a change fund into a second cassette that is attached to the second cassette attachment unit; and processing circuitry configured to control the first transport unit and control the second transport unit such that the dispensing processing of the change fund is performed before the depositing processing of the money.

Disclosed are a cash box and a cash recycling and handling device; the cash box includes a box body, a first cash storage cavity, a second cash storage cavity, a transfer passage, a first switching member and a linkage assembly; a first lifting platform is provided inside the first cash storage cavity, and the first lifting platform is capable of moving back and forth in the preset direction and can be located at a first dispensing position; when the first lifting platform is in the first dispensing position, it is engaged with the linkage assembly to rotate the first switching member to a first position, and when the first lifting platform moves to a first inlet, the linkage assembly rotates the first switching member to a second position.

A medium conveyance route switching device includes: a support unit located at a branching point where conveyance directions of a medium converge in three directions; a gate assembly including a plurality of gates to guide at the branching point the medium to different conveyance paths; and a rotation mechanism configured to selectively rotate the plurality of gates. In order to efficiently perform banknote handling and banknote disinfection, a banknote handling apparatus includes: an inlet that receives a banknote from outside the apparatus; a transport path that transports the banknotes from the inlet into the apparatus; a recognition circuit that performs banknote recognition of the banknote; a disinfector that performs banknote disinfection of the banknote; an outlet that holds the banknotes; and a processing circuitry that controls these components to perform a banknote handling process in which the banknote passes the recognition circuit and the disinfector. The banknote handling process is performed in a mode selected from among a first mode of performing the banknote recognition and the banknote disinfection, a second mode of performing the banknote disinfection without performing the banknote recognition, and a third mode of performing the banknote recognition without performing the banknote disinfection.
