A modular ATM is disclosed herein and can include a safe with a first port, at least one currency cassette and dispenser both positioned in the safe, a currency conveyor, and a plurality of linking transport assemblies. The dispenser can move banknotes between the cassette and the first port. The currency conveyor can be positioned on the safe, have second and third ports, and move banknotes between the second and third ports. The currency conveyor can be positionable in a plurality of different orientations and offsets relative to the safe. The plurality of linking transport assemblies can each be individually engageable with the currency conveyor. Each of the linking transport assembly moves banknotes between the first port of the safe and the second port of the currency conveyor. Each linking transport assembly is individually positionable between the safe and the currency conveyor.

A currency bill processing device for counting, denominating, discriminating, and/or sorting the currency bills and subsequently disinfecting the currency bills without any manual intervention. The currency bill processing device can process the currency bills at a speed of up to 1000 bills per minute. Paper money handling apparatus
A paper money handling apparatus includes a dispenser unit to dispense paper money, and the dispenser unit includes a bottom portion on which at least a portion on a front side of the paper money is placed, a pair of side walls located at both the left and right sides of the bottom portion, a front wall located at a front edge of the bottom portion, and a cover located above the bottom portion. A front edge of the dispenser unit has cutouts at least in the bottom portion and the front wall, and the cover is arranged in an openable or closable manner so that the cover rotates and opens from a side of the front edge.

A transaction device executes transaction processing relating to a medium, and includes: a medium retention section capable of retaining the medium; plural first storage boxes capable of storing the medium; a second storage box capable of storing the medium and that is detachable with respect to the transaction device; a conveyance section capable of conveying the medium on a conveyance path connecting between the first storage boxes, the second storage box, and the medium retention section; and a classification section provided on the conveyance path and capable of classifying the medium as the medium passes through, wherein the conveyance section being configured to convey the medium from the first storage boxes to the second storage box or from the second storage box to the first storage boxes via the medium retention section and the classification section when performing retrieval, auditing, or replenishment.
