MONEY HANDLING APPARATUS AND MONEY HANDLING METHOD
A money handling apparatus includes: a safe having a safe door; a plurality of drawers configured to be drawable from the safe when the safe door is opened, each drawer including one or a plurality of storage units configured to store money therein; at least one locking unit configured to restrict drawing-out of each drawer from the safe; and a control unit configured to control the at least one locking unit to put each drawer into either an unlocked state where drawing-out of the drawer is allowed or a locked state where drawing-out of the drawer is restricted.
PHYSICAL ARTICLE EXCHANGE USING A SAFE
There are disclosed devices, system and methods for automatic exchange of change for cash using a smart safe. The safe has a computing device for receiving a selection from a merchant to exchange cash for change having a total value, and an identification of the denominations of the coins and cash of the change desired. The safe has a secure chamber for receiving cash deposits from the merchant and a sensor for counting the secured cash. The computing device sends an exchange agent the selection from the merchant to exchange the cash with the change, and the identification of the denominations of the change desired. A courier is contacted, retrieves the cash deposited, and exchanges the change for the equal value of cash.
BILL PROCESSING DEVICE
The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a banknote processing device that may separate and process normal banknotes and rejected banknotes during replenishment/collection and easily confirm the number of replenished or collected normal banknotes. The present invention for implementing this includes: a determination unit that determines whether or not a replenished or collected banknote is normal; a temporary storage unit in which the banknote determined as a normal banknote by the determination unit is temporarily stored; a counterfeit banknote cassette in which a replenished rejected banknote and a collected rejected banknote rejected by the determination unit are stored; a banknote storage unit in which a replenished banknote or a banknote to be collected, which is determined as a normal banknote by the determination unit, is stored; a replenishment/collection cassette in which a banknote to be replenished in the banknote storage unit or a normal banknote collected from the banknote storage unit is stored; and a transport path through which the banknote is transported.

FINANCIAL TRANSACTION SYSTEM AND MEDIUM MANAGEMENT METHOD IN THE FINANCIAL TRANSACTION SYSTEM
A financial transaction system includes: an automated teller machine providing medium stack information; a bank server that calculates provisional replenishment number information; and a medium management unit that prepares a transit cassette containing mediums required in replenishment transaction, and inputs the provisional replenishment number information in a memory of the prepared transit cassette. When the mediums in the transit cassette are replenished, the bank server calculates actual replenishment number information based on current medium stack information received from the automated teller machine, and provides the calculated actual replenishment number information to the automated teller machine. The automated teller machine controls a conveyance path for the mediums so that the mediums are replenished from the transit cassette based on the actual replenishment number information and mediums as non-replenishment banknotes are recovered to the transit cassette, and provides non-replenishment banknote number information recovered in the transit cassette to the bank server.
AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An automated teller machine includes: a main body; a reception unit; a temporary holding unit; an identification unit; a recycle cassette; a reject cassette; a utility cassette; a conveyance path through which a medium is conveyed; and a control unit. The control unit controls the conveyance path such that when the medium is replenished through the transit cassette, the medium recognized as the normal banknote by the identification unit, among the mediums stored in the transit cassette, is temporarily stored in the temporary holding unit, and among the mediums temporarily stored in the temporary holding unit, the medium recognized as the normal banknote by the identification unit is transferred to the transit cassette.

AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An automated teller machine includes: a main body having an entrance; a reception unit; a temporary holding unit; an identification unit; a recycle cassette; a reject cassette; a deposit cassette; a utility cassette disposed in a lower portion of the main body; a conveyance path through which the medium is conveyed; and a control unit. The control unit controls the conveyance path such that when the medium is recovered through the recovery transit cassette, the medium recognized as the normal banknote by the identification unit, among the mediums stored in the deposit cassette and the recycle cassette, is temporarily stored in the temporary holding unit, and among the mediums temporarily stored in the temporary holding unit, the medium recognized as the normal banknote by the identification unit is recovered to the recovery transit cassette.
