A removable cassette housing for rebalancing bills among storage cassettes is disclosed. The removable cassette housing includes a first docking apparatus and a second docking apparatus structured to receive a first storage cassette and a second storage cassette, respectively, a transport apparatus operatively coupled to the docking apparatuses and a computing system. The transport apparatus is structured to facilitate transferring the bills among the storage cassettes. The computing system is structured to generate a first storage data packet and a second storage data packet associated with the first storage cassette and the second storage cassette, respectively. The computing system is also structured to generate a rebalancing instruction based on at least one of the first storage data packet and the second storage data packet. The cassette housing is structured to cause the transport apparatus to transport bills based on a rebalancing instruction.
UNIVERSAL REMOVEABLE CASSETTE ARRAY WITH CASH REBALANCING
A universal cassette housing for storing banknotes includes a first docking element structured to receive a first universal cassette, a second docking element structured to receive a second universal cassette, a transport apparatus structured to facilitate transferring banknotes between the first universal cassette and the second universal cassette, and a housing computing system comprising a processing circuit including one or more processors and memory, the memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the housing computing system to receive information regarding banknotes stored in the first universal cassette, receive information regarding banknotes stored in the second universal cassette, and cause the transport apparatus to initiate a transfer of one or more of the banknotes based on the information regarding the banknotes stored in the first universal cassette and the information regarding the banknotes stored in the second universal cassette.

USER ALERTS BASED ON IMAGE CAPTURING BY A BILL STORAGE DEVICE
A device monitors activity associated with a user of a currency bill storage device based on currency bill data received from the currency bill storage device over a period of time. The currency bill storage device includes image sensor(s) configured to capture images of currency bills. The currency bill data is based on the images. The device tracks a balance in the currency bill storage device based on the currency bill data and identifies, based on the activity, an upcoming transaction in which the user is expected to utilize a particular quantity of currency bills in the currency bill storage device. The device determines whether the balance is sufficient relative to the particular quantity of currency bills and performs one or more actions to cause an alert to be provided to the user based on determining whether the balance is sufficient relative to the particular quantity of currency bills.

Intelligent cash handling
Aspects of the disclosure relate to cash handling devices that provide intelligent monitoring and management of cash cycles. A cash handling device having at least one processor, a communication interface, and memory may receive, from a mobile device, a request to process a pre-staged transaction. Subsequently, the cash handling device may generate and present a graphical identifier based on the mobile device requesting access to the cash handling device. Next, the cash handling device may verify that the mobile device is authorized to perform the pre-staged transaction based on the graphical identifier being scanned by the mobile device and cause a connection to be established between the cash handling device and the mobile device. Thereafter, the cash handling device may identify and process the pre-staged transaction associated with the mobile device. Then, the cash handling device may generate a notification indicating completed processing of the identified pre-staged transaction.

PROCESS FOR SELF-RECOVERING FROM DOCUMENT PROCESSING DISTURBANCES
A process for self-recovering from document processing disturbances in a flexible document receiving and dispensing device comprising one or more flexible document storing and dispensing modules, wherein each one of said one or more flexible document storing and dispensing modules is configured to store a respective group of flexible documents, wherein each flexible document is individually identified by a univocal code associated thereto, wherein the process comprises the following steps: A. during a storing operation, one or more flexible documents are stored according to the following substeps: A.1 recognizing the group of flexible documents and reading the univocal code from each one of said one or more flexible documents; and A.2 for each group of flexible documents, storing the univocal codes read at step A.1 in a memory unit of the respective flexible document storing and dispensing module, whereby such univocal codes are stored in a code storage sequence univocally associated to an expected code dispensing sequence including one or more expected univocal codes: B. during a dispensing operation, for each one of one or more flexible documents to be dispensed, performing the following substeps: B.1 reading the univocal code from the flexible document to be dispensed, B.2 comparing the univocal code read at step B.1 with the expected univocal code in the expected code dispensing sequence: B.3 when the compared codes are different, discarding flexible documents from the respective flexible document storing and dispensing module until it is recognized that a subsequence of discarded flexible documents is identical to a subsequence of expected univocal codes, otherwise B.4 dispensing the flexible document.
