Scoliosis brace

A brace comprises a belt and removably attachable vertical strut(s). Each vertical strut can comprise one or more of a strut(s), thoracic pad(s), hip pad(s), lumbar support pad(s), chest support pad(s), de-rotation pad(s), or any other component suitable to assist or restrict movement of a wearer's body, reduce or apply a force to a wearer's body, correct the shape of a wearer's body, reduce pain, or provide support to a wearer's body. It is contemplated that each component can be removable or adjustable from a vertical strut or belt.

An orthopedic brace features a posterior bracing system coupled to an anterior bracing system. The posterior bracing system includes a first plurality of telescopic lateral panels with a first telescopic lateral panel coupled to a first belt member and a second telescopic lateral panel coupled to a second belt member. The anterior bracing system includes a second plurality of telescopic lateral panels such as a third telescopic lateral panel and a fourth telescopic lateral panel. The first telescopic lateral panel and the first belt member are positioned into a curved form to enable the first belt member to attach to the third telescopic lateral panel of the anterior bracing system while the second telescopic lateral panel and the second belt member are positioned into a curved form to enable the second belt member to attach to the fourth telescopic lateral panel of the anterior bracing system.

BRACEWEAR FOR SPINAL CORRECTION AND SYSTEM FOR POSTURE TRAINING

The present disclosure provides a bracewear for spinal correction and a system for posture training. The system for posture training involves both active and passive corrective forces by using the bracewear and a biofeedback system to address the spinal correction, which can eliminate the adversity of conventional hard braces and reduce the psychological and physiological barriers to treatment.

Lifting belt

A lifting belt includes a lifter configured to generate a tractive force in a longitudinal direction of a spinal column by expansion, a left connector and a right connector respectively disposed on a left side and a right side of the lifter, and a central connector attachable to or detachable from the left connector and the right connector.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for soft robotic back orthosis

A soft robotic spinal orthosis includes a control system having at least one processor, a plurality of adjustable pressure fluid bladders to provide at least one variable supporting force to a torso of a user, a plurality of supports to secure the fluid bladders to the torso, at least one sensor to detect a position of the torso, and at least one pressure device to increase and decrease a fluid pressure of the fluid bladders.

Spine support device for maintaining anatomical alignment and stability
11219545 · 2022-01-11 ·

A spine support device includes a support plate having front and rear faces, a central opening, and a pair of stabilizing stirrups formed on the rear face of the support plate in spaced parallel relationship to augment the support provided by the support plate when positioned at its front face in contact with a portion of a person's back surrounding a region of spinal vertebra visible through the central opening in the support plate. The support plate has opposing inner side edge portions at opposing sides of the central opening and opposite peripheral side edge portions spaced outwardly therefrom with the stabilizing stirrups therebetween. The opposing inner side edge portions and the opposite peripheral side edge portions of the support plate have respective alternating peak and valley shapes for accommodating interconnecting facets of the spinal vertebra region visible through the central opening in the support plate.

DYNAMIC SUPPORT APPARATUS AND SYSTEM

A control unit system. The system includes a control unit which includes a control unit charging interface, at least one magnet located proximate to the control unit charging interface, at least one actuator, a detachable manifold including at least one magnet, fluidly coupled to the at least one actuator, a pump connected to the at least one actuator for causing actuation thereof, and a control system for controlling the pump, wherein the control system controls the pump to actuate the at least one actuator at least in response to a signal received by the control system. The system also includes a recharging device configured to receive the control unit, the recharging device including a reed switch, wherein when the magnet in the control unit is located proximate to the reed switch, the switch is activated.

THORACIC LUMBAR SACRAL ORTHOSIS ATTACHMENT
20230277354 · 2023-09-07 ·

A thoracic lumbar sacral orthosis attachment for configuring an orthopedic device as a thoracic lumbar sacral orthosis by connecting the attachment to the orthopedic device. The attachment has an anterior aspect including an anterior panel arranged to connect to an orthopedic device. An anterior thoracic extension (ATE) is securable to the anterior panel, and a support bar extends from the ATE. A strap system includes an axillary strap system and/or a shoulder strap system removably securing onto a surface of the orthopedic device, and/or the ATE.

ORTHOSIS FOR DEFORMITY CORRECTION
20230355418 · 2023-11-09 · ·

Disclosed are systems and methods of correction of spinal deformity that overcome current limitations by utilizing a dynamic, multi-segment torso orthosis that allows motion during wear. The disclosed embodiments utilize a series of elastically coupled segments that conform to the circumference of the torso of a patient. Adjustable elastic coupling mechanisms are utilized to create and alter forces and moments that are applied to the torso through the segments. These elastic coupling mechanisms also allow each circumferential segment to move relative to the other segments giving the brace dynamic capability.

Wearable device to reduce pain and promote healing of lower back problems
11813187 · 2023-11-14 ·

A device that decompresses the lower spine while the wearer is seated or standing. The device includes two belt-shaped straps. The first strap circles the upper torso just below the breast line. The second strap circles the waist at or slightly above the normal belt line riding on the hip. In embodiments of the invention, the lower strap can be a normal belt. The straps can be equipped with pockets that are aligned along the upper edge of the upper strap and the lower edge of the lower strap designed to receive and hold flat splints. Typically, two rigid flat splints extend vertically between the straps centered laterally on the left and right sides of the torso. When the device is worn, it decompresses the lower spine when the person stands or sits.
