METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ADAPTIVE TRANSCEIVER IN MOBILE DEVICES
A method conducted using a mobile device is disclosed. The mobile device comprises a contactless application including a bridging module, a computer readable medium comprising a contactless kernel, wherein the contactless kernel includes a transceiver interface coupled to a processor. The mobile device includes a contactless element coupled to the processor. The method includes receiving a trigger signal indicative of a transaction to be executed. In response to receiving the trigger signal, the contactless kernel transmits first data to the bridging module. The contactless kernel is operable in a first mode of communication. The bridging module transforms the first data in the first mode of communication to first data in a second mode of communication and passes the first data to the contactless element. The contactless element transmits the first data to a user device, and thereafter receives second data from the user device to execute the transaction.
SMART CARD READ/WRITE METHOD AND APPARATUS
A smart card read/write method is performed at a terminal, including: sensing a touch event of a smart card, and obtaining an application identifier corresponding to the touch event; searching for a third-party application link corresponding to the application identifier, and capturing and displaying a web page corresponding to the third-party application link, the web page comprising a function menu and an instruction script corresponding to options in the function menu being preselected from a preset standard script library; obtaining an option triggered in the function menu on the web page, and sending a smart card control request to a platform application server by executing an instruction script corresponding to the triggered option; and receiving a smart card control instruction returned by the platform application server, and invoking a corresponding interface function according to the smart card control instruction to read/write the smart card.
VEHICLE IDENTITY ACCESS MANAGEMENT
A vehicle includes a controller, programmed to responsive to identifying a first user via a mobile device, load a first non-person entity associated with the first user from the mobile device to configure vehicle settings, the first non-person entity including a driver setting, a first entertainment setting and a second entertainment setting; and responsive to identifying a second user entering the vehicle, switch from the first entertainment setting to a second entertainment setting.
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND DISPLAY SYNCHRONIZATION
Various aspects of the disclosure generally relate to point-of-sale credit card processing devices. More specifically, the disclosure relates to synchronizing device communications with other device functions in order to reduce cross-platform interference and meet certification requirements.
Card payment apparatus
Disclosed is a card payment apparatus. An aspect of the present invention is directed to provide a card payment apparatus, which is accessed to a portable communication apparatus or a computer without a card terminal, and then, performs a payment process by using a contactless card or a contact card.
Ultra-wideband-enabled devices and systems
An ultra-wideband (UWB)-enabled payment acceptance system can include a UWB anchor and a terminal device. The UWB anchor identifies UWB-enabled devices within a vicinity; and in response to receiving an indication of an intent to perform a payment transaction from a particular UWB-enabled device, the UWB anchor establishes a secure communication channel with the particular UWB-enabled device. The terminal device, via the UWB anchor, communicates transaction related information over the secure communication channel to the particular UWB-enabled device and receives a transaction payload from the particular UWB-enabled device over the secure communication channel. A UWB-enabled device includes a processor, storage, a battery, and a UWB chip. Instructions can be stored in the storage of the UWB-enabled device that when executed by the processor direct the UWB-enabled device to perform various processes supporting frictionless transactions, such as with respect to the UWB-enabled payment acceptance system.
Validator Device For a Ticketing System
A validation device for a ticketing system having at least one first short-range interface that is configured to receive at least one inspection identifier stored in an inspection element, at least one authentication module configured to verify the authenticity of the received inspection identifier, and at least one key module configured to provide a communication dataset to a second short-range interface in the case of a positive authentication result, such that the communication dataset is receivable by the inspection element via the first short-range interface and/or an additional interface of the validator device.
Method and system for presenting representations of payment accepting unit events
After sending a request to a payment module, via a first communication capability (e.g., BLE), to initiate a transaction with a payment accepting unit associated with the payment module, a mobile device with one or more processors, memory, one or output devices, and two or more communication capabilities obtains a notification from the payment module via the first communication capability. The notification indicates an event at the payment accepting unit associated with the payment module. In response to obtaining the notification, mobile device provides a representation of the notification to a user of the mobile device via the one or more output devices of the mobile device. For example, a message is displayed on a display of the mobile device, a vibration alert is produced by a vibration mechanism of the mobile device, an aural alert is produced by a speaker of the mobile device, and/or the like.
Transaction Card Assembly
A modular transaction card assembly includes a card frame having the traditional dimensions of a credit card, and a transaction card that is smaller than a traditional card and that fits into a receptacle of the card frame. Each of the card frame and the transaction card may be capable of performing contactless data transactions individually. The combined assembly of the card frame with the transaction card secured in the receptacle is also capable of performing contact data transactions, and in some instances, with an identifier that is distinct from the card frame or the transaction card alone. The card frame may include a processor enabling it to perform data encryption and authentication of the smaller transaction card.
IC card with fingerprint recognition function and working method thereof
A working method for an IC card having a fingerprint recognition function, comprising: an IC card receiving and determining an instruction type from a terminal, and when determined that the received instruction is an application selection instruction, the IC card selecting an application and returning a response to the terminal; when determined that the received instruction is a processing option acquisition instruction, the IC card acquiring a user fingerprint information verification state according to the content of the instruction, and if verification is successful, returning to the terminal a processing option instruction response containing an application file locator list for which a personal identification number does not need to be verified; if verification fails, returning to the terminal a processing option instruction response containing an application file locator list for which a personal identification number must be verified; when determined that the received instruction is a record reading instruction, the IC card returning a record reading response to the terminal according to the record reading instruction, wherein the record reading response contains a method for verifying a card holder. Thus, the risk of a personal identification number being leaked is avoided, thus enhancing the security of a transaction, while also improving user experience.
