Active peripheral device and electronic payment terminal
A peripheral device intended to be coupled in a mobile and removable manner to an electronic payment terminal having contactless communication. The peripheral device includes at least one first portion of a contactless communication of the electronic payment terminal and at least one connector that cooperates, when the peripheral device is coupled to the electronic payment terminal, with at least one complementary connector on the electronic payment terminal. The connectors form a wireline communication between the first portion of the contactless communication of the peripheral device and the electronic payment terminal.
Contactless Principal and Mini-Dependent Credit Cards
Using credit cards could be challenging when dealing with too many of them. We have a solution to use smaller credit cards link with a principal card. Mini-Dependent cards have limited amount of credit to help make using credits cards much simpler. The idea is to have a main credit card assigned to the head of an association and/or family. The principle can control the credit that is on a mini dependent and allows the individual to use limited credits from the principle without risking nearly as much as when a credit card gets lost or stolen. The amount of credits on a mini dependent can be set by the owner of Principle Credit Card. Example, a dependant credit card can be mounted inside fuel compartment of a vehicle for fueling, or can be mounted in a school student's wallet to facilitate using allowance.
Type 4 NFC tags as protocol interface
NFC terminal devices and corresponding integrated circuit cards (ICCs) use NFC Type 4 tags as a protocol interface for complex or encrypted communication protocols that are not natively supported by the NFC terminal devices. A smartphone acting as an NFC terminal may block applications and/or protocols other than NFC data exchange formatted (NDEF) messages. An ICC applet supporting an advanced function uses designated memory locations for the transfer of commands normally supported at an application level. Both the terminal side and the ICC applet may check the designated memory locations for updated data in the absence of protocol-level message controls.
Tapping a contactless card to a computing device to provision a virtual number
Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media for tapping a contactless card to a computing device to provision a virtual number. At least one parameter for authorizing a virtual account number for a subaccount associated with a primary account may be received. An application executing on a processor circuit may receive authentication credentials for the primary account. A card reader may receive encrypted data from a communications interface of a contactless card. The application may transmit the encrypted data to an authentication server. The application may receive verification of the encrypted data from the authentication server. The application may provide the at least one parameter for authorizing the virtual account number and receive a virtual account number for the subaccount generated by a virtual card number server, the virtual account number restricted to a spending limit based on the amount parameter associated with the virtual account number.
Portable e-pay system and method
A portable e-pay system and method, comprises a card reading module to charge customers by reading their credit cards. The system further comprises tax information memory used to store transaction information with an electronic signature, and the system also comprises a volatile memory used to store the information of a taxpayer. Furthermore, the portable e-pay system also has a printer, a credit-card authorization module and a credit-card payment request module.
Terminal case with integrated dual reader stack
Aspects of the technology provide a multi-purpose card reader configured for use with a mobile electronic device (e.g., a mobile host), such as a smart phone or tablet computer. In certain aspects, the card reader is integrated into a case for enclosing the mobile electronic device and configured for reading financial information from a payment card to facilitate a financial transaction between a buyer and a merchant. To facilitate operability of the card reader, the case can include multiple card slots, such as a swipe-slot (e.g., for receiving a magnetic stripe payment card), and a dip-slot (e.g., for use in receiving an IC type payment card).
PAYMENT INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, APPARATUS, DEVICE AND COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
The present application discloses a payment information processing method, apparatus, device, and computer readable storage medium. The payment information processing method includes: obtaining an environment image collected by a mobile acquiring device, in response to an acquiring request sent by the mobile acquiring device; determining a payment environment confidence level of the mobile acquiring device according to the environment image, under a condition that the mobile acquiring device obtains payment card information; determining a payment information processing result according to the payment environment confidence level.
Online interaction security technology
Typically, online transactions, such as online purchases of products or services require entering sensitive transaction information into a third-party web browser or application. This may expose sensitive transaction information to an increased risk of inadvertent disclosure. Apparatus and methods are provided for a smart card which enables users to securely complete online transactions without entering any sensitive transaction information into a third-party system. Vendor websites may be configured to generate a unique code identifying the vendor offering the product/service, the product/service and price of the product/service. The smart card includes a keypad for entering the unique code and completing payment for the desired product/service. The smart card will include a microprocessor and wireless interface. The wireless interface provides wireless communication capabilities and the ability to initiate online payments based on information captured by the keypad.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE IDENTIFICATION
A system and method to identify an electronic device 5, by detecting spurious emissions 4 in the form of electromagnetic waves which are radiated from the device 5. Once identified, the device 5 may be used to authorise an action associated with the device, such as, a financial transaction conducted at a user terminal 3 in a retail outlet.
SECURE WIRELESS DATA DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
A secure wireless data device is disclosed and configured as at least one of a passive, semi-passive, or active RFID or NFC enabled device. In at least one embodiment, the data device provides a memory, an antenna and an at least one access sensor. The memory is configured for storing select wireless data therein. The antenna is in selective wireless communication with a compatible reader. The at least one access sensor is configured for automatically switching between an enabled state—wherein the wireless data is capable of being accessed by the reader—and a disabled state—wherein the wireless data is prevented from being accessed by the reader—based on an at least one measurable physical parameter that is detectable by the at least one access sensor.
