Point-of-sale (POS) e-commerce transaction verification via a mobile device such as a smart phone, smart watch, tablet, PC, appliance or personal assistant rather than numeric keypad on POS device. Near field communication (NFC), quick response (QR) code, push notification and executable application embodiments disclosed.

Keyboard for secure data entry
11406051 · 2022-08-02 · ·

A keyboard for secure data entry is provided. The keyboard comprises at least one or more of data entry buttons that can be depressed by a user. For each of the data entry buttons, a button actuator is provided that is movable upon the user depressing the respective data entry button and a primary capacitive sensor is provided that is arranged to determine movement of the button actuator of the respective data entry button by capacitance sampling. The button actuator is at least partly made from a conductive material. The button actuator is coupled to a defined electric potential at least during the capacitance sampling to shield the primary capacitive sensor from eavesdropping.

HARDWARE DEVICE FOR ENTERING A PIN VIA TAPPING ON A TOUCH SCREEN DISPLAY
20220253850 · 2022-08-11 · ·

A device and associated methods for entering a PIN via tapping are disclosed. The device can be configured to determine a number of taps provided by a PIN holder on a touch sensor in representation of a PIN digit and to store the number of taps as a digit in a sequence that represents the PIN. Indications for interaction with the device can be provided to PIN holders in the form of auditory cues. A visually impaired PIN holder may be able to complete a PIN entry process by following the indications for interaction, tapping on a touch sensor a number of times equal to the value of the digit of the PIN to be entered, and performing gestures mapped to commands for the device.

MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS

The present disclosure provides a medium processing apparatus, including: a housing provided with a surface facing a customer operating the medium processing apparatus; and a rolled coin device housed in the housing and configured to process rolled coins formed by bundling a plurality of loose coins. The surface of the housing includes a designated area located in a height range conforming to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standard with respect to a height direction of the medium processing apparatus, and a rolled coin dispensing port of the rolled coin device for dispensing the rolled coins is arranged in the designated area.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING LIMITED ACCESS TO DATA
20220084087 · 2022-03-17 ·

A system and method for providing access to data of a first party including receiving information for identifying the first party, authenticating the first party using the received information for identifying the first party and generating a first read-only personal identification number (PIN). The first read-only PIN is associated with a first set of access rights for the data of the first party and provided to a second party. The first read-only PIN is stored with the first set of access rights in a computer database. A third party receives the first read-only PIN from the second party, authenticates the received first read-only PIN using the stored first read-only PIN and provides the second party with access to at least a portion of the data of the first party using the first set of access rights associated with the first read-only PIN if the received first read-only PIN is authenticated.

SOFTWARE SECURITY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PIN ENTRY, STORAGE AND TRANSMISSION TO SOFTWARE-BASED POS (SOFTPOS)
20220108297 · 2022-04-07 ·

A secure PIN entry to verify the cardholder in over-limit transactions of mobile devices receiving payment via POS software. The system includes a POS application installed in the mobile device, which allows payment to be received and which is managed by the server application, an L3 business layer that manages the user interface, experience, and workflows of POS application, a POS memory which enables the software operation of security, key creation and cryptographic algorithms for POS application, a POS security layer which ensures that payment is made safely through POS memory, a PIN application that provides the user interface for secure PIN entry and securely forwards PIN entry to the POS application, a PIN memory which enables the software operation of security, key creation and cryptographic algorithms for PIN application, and a PIN security layer that enables secure reception and transmission of the PIN through the PIN memory.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TOUCHLESS PIN ENTRY
20220092598 · 2022-03-24 ·

A system and method is described for the touchless entry of a personal identification number (PIN) at a self-service terminal such as an automated teller machine (ATM). A mobile device includes a PIN entry application. The self-service terminal includes a wireless interface for communicating wirelessly with the PIN entry application in the mobile device. A communication channel is established between a particular customer's mobile device and the self-service terminal. The PIN entry application verifies a public key for the self-service terminal at the mobile device. The customer's PIN is encrypted by the PIN entry application at the mobile device using either an ephemeral symmetric encryption key or a one-time RSA PIN transport public key. The encrypted PIN is transmitted to an encryption processor at the self-service terminal. The encryption processor decrypts the PIN using the appropriate encryption key.

Touchless Transaction on a Transaction Terminal

A transaction is detected on a transaction terminal. A first code is presented on a display of the transaction terminal that is encoded with an identifier and a passcode for a wireless connection between the transaction terminal and a mobile device operated by a customer. The mobile device processes the code to wirelessly connect to the transaction terminal using the identifier and the passcode. A second code is presented on a display of the transaction terminal. The second code when captured by the mobile device causes a transaction interface to be remoted from the transaction terminal to the mobile device over the wireless connection. The transaction continues with interactions provided on the mobile device and processed on the transaction terminal without any customer touching of the display of the transaction terminal and without any customer touching of any keys or keypad of the transaction terminal.

Systems and methods for network configurations of PIN pads
