A keyboard for secure data entry is provided. The keyboard comprises at least one or more of data entry buttons that can be depressed by a user. For each of the data entry buttons, a button actuator is provided that is movable upon the user depressing the respective data entry button and a primary capacitive sensor is provided that is arranged to determine movement of the button actuator of the respective data entry button by capacitance sampling. The button actuator is at least partly made from a conductive material. The button actuator is coupled to a defined electric potential at least during the capacitance sampling to shield the primary capacitive sensor from eavesdropping.

Device and method to facilitate enrollment of a biometric template

Devices, systems, and methods facilitate enrollment of authenticating biometric data for authenticating an authorized user via a biometric sensor. Included devices transmit power to a sensor-enabled device that does not have an independent power source without transmitting data to or from the device. Data input devices coupled to the biometric sensor enable user input of non-biometric data, such as an activation code, via the biometric sensor. For biometric sensors comprising fingerprint sensors, finger guides position a finger to contact the sensor at a desired orientation. Systems and methods allow for enrollment of one or more authenticating biometric data templates with or without requiring input of non-biometric authentication data, such as an activation code.

Point-of-sale (POS) e-commerce transaction verification via a mobile device such as a smart phone, smart watch, tablet, PC, appliance or personal assistant rather than numeric keypad on POS device. Near field communication (NFC), quick response (QR) code, push notification and executable application embodiments disclosed.

BRIDGE APPLICATION FOR USER PIN SELECTION

Systems and methods related to a bridge application that facilitates interoperability between a remotely-served application and locally connected peripheral devices. The bridge application may execute on a local machine and be addressable at the loop-back address of the local machine. Requests issued to the bridge application may be verified as originating from a trusted source. In turn, requests from a locally performed and remotely-served application may be issued to local hardware resources such as peripheral devices or the like.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF SECURE PIN CODE ENTRY

An access control apparatus includes a sensor and an authentication circuit coupled to the sensor. The sensor detects eye movement of a user. The authentication circuit stores predetermined access code data corresponding to the user. The authentication circuit compares the detected eye movement of the user to the predetermined access code data. Based on the comparison indicating that the detected eye movement matches the predetermined access code data, the authentication circuit permits access beyond an access control point.

FINGERPRINT SENSOR MODULE COMPRISING ANTENNA AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A FINGERPRINT SENSOR MODULE

There is provided a fingerprint sensor module comprising a fingerprint sensor device. The fingerprint sensor device comprises a sensing array consisting of a plurality of sensing elements, the sensor device being configured to acquire an image of a finger placed on a sensing surface of the fingerprint sensor module. The fingerprint sensor module further comprises a substrate comprising an opening, wherein the fingerprint sensor device is arranged in the opening of the substrate and wherein the substrate comprises an antenna embedded in the substrate, the antenna being electrically connected to the fingerprint sensor device.

Contactless card and personal identification system

A dual-factor PIN based authentication system and method uses a cryptogram provided by a contactless card associated with the client in association with a PIN stored by the contactless card to authenticate the client. In some embodiments, cryptogram authentication may be preconditioned upon a PIN match determination by the contactless card. In other embodiments, the cryptogram may be formed at least in part using the personal identification number (PIN) stored on the contactless card encoded using a dynamic key stored by the contactless card and uniquely associated with the client. Authentication may be achieved by comparing the cryptogram formed using the PIN against an expected cryptogram generated an expected PIN and an expected dynamic key.

SECURITY OF AUTHENTICATION DATA ON MOBILE DEVICES
20200151341 · 2020-05-14 ·

Embodiments disclosed herein describe systems and methods for providing secure entry of authentication data on computing devices, such as mobile devices. In some embodiments, the systems and methods are implemented on a mobile device having one or more vibration motors configured to operate at one or more speeds, and a touch-sensitive display. The mobile device may determine that an application executing on the mobile device is requesting entry of authentication data from a user via the touch-sensitive display. The mobile device may detect entry of a first character of the authentication data from the user. During the entry of the first character of authentication data, the mobile device activates a vibration motor at a first speed.

AUTOMATED DEVICE FOR CHANGING AUTHENTICATION CODE

Methods and systems for changing an authentication code are described. An automated device provides a sequence of interfaces. The automated device communicates with a server to exchange data, which is used to dynamically populate one or more of the interfaces in the sequence. The interface sequence includes: a home interface providing a plurality of selectable options for performing an action related to an account; a current authentication code interface for receiving a current authentication code for the account; a new authentication code interface for receiving a new authentication code for the account; a fourth interface providing output indicating processing of the change of authentication code; an acknowledgement interface indicating completion of the change of authentication code; and a record preview interface providing a preview of a record of the session, the record preview interface further providing an option to generate output of the record.
