System and method for reducing forces acting on a spinal column
A system for reducing forces which, in particular, act on a spine of a human, includes a plurality of joinable exoskeleton elements, wherein at least two of the joinable exoskeleton elements are configured to be fastened to the human body during use of the system and wherein a first exoskeleton element of the joinable exoskeleton elements includes a guide which is configured to guide a second exoskeleton element of the joinable exoskeleton elements along a curved trajectory relative to the first exoskeleton element and to enforce a superimposed translational and rotational relative movement between the first exoskeleton element and the second exoskeleton element when guiding the second exoskeleton element along the curved trajectory relative to the first exoskeleton element.
Posture Correcting Apparatus
A postural training and correction apparatus to assist a user of the apparatus to recognize and correct faulty posture, the apparatus comprising: a substantially rigid rod assembly extending between an in use top end and an in-use bottom end; a head engagement member positioned and attached to at the top end of the rod assembly for receiving and engaging the user's head to prompt the user to position the head in engagement with the top end of the rod member; a shoulder strapping arrangement being coupled to the rod assembly for being positioned in between the top and bottom ends of the rod assembly comprising a pair of resilient shoulder loops for extending around the user's left and right shoulders respectively, and a waist or hip engagement member attached to the bottom end of the rod assembly for engaging the user's abdomen or hip; wherein during use the rigid rod assembly is adapted to be substantially positioned along the spine of the user to contact the user's body at least three separate locations thereby indicating to the user that the user has attained a correct posture.
UPPER BODY OF GARMENT
A restricting portion is located between rear surfaces of left and right sleeves and prevents left and right shoulder blades of a wearer from moving apart from each other. A first seam point, which is the lowest point on a seam between a front surface of the left sleeve and a front body, is positioned above a first bottom point, which is the lowest point on a seam between the rear surface of the left sleeve and the rear body. A second seam point, which is the lowest point on a seam between a front surface of the right sleeve and the front body, is positioned above a second bottom point, which is the lowest point on a seam between the rear surface of the right sleeve and the rear body.
Posture support device and method for supporting posture
A posture support device includes an elongate strap having: a first end comprising a first fastening member; a second end comprising a second fastening member; a first surface extending from the first end to the second end; a second surface extending from the first end to the second end; a first edge extending from the first end to the second end along a first side of the first surface and the second surface; and a second edge extending from the first end to the second end along a second side of the first surface and the second surface, the second side being opposite the first side. The strap comprises at least three pathways formed therein. In an assembled configuration, the elongate strap has a portion of the elongate strap disposed within each of the pathways and has the first and second fastening members secured to form the posture support device.
Posture correction device
A posture correcting device using vibration or emitted electrical pulses in a pre-determined time sequence that may be adjusted in timing, intensity or strength, and a device for securing said posture correcting device to a body of a wearer.
Posture improving apparatus
An Apparatus for realigning and improving the posture of the user. The Apparatus targets specific areas of the body, lifts up those areas, and then cause other specific areas of the body with the help of gravity, to adjust and modify, and facilitate the loosening and releasing of targeted fascia tissue, connective tissue, muscles, without the use or creation of force or tension, facilitating realignment, resulting in improving posture. The Apparatus is comprised of Holding Areas (e.g. pockets, grooves, etc.) configured to run up and down the apparatus the length of the spine of the human body. The Holding Areas (e.g. pockets, grooves, etc.) are an integral part of the apparatus and/or a separate attachable unit to the apparatus. The Apparatus's Holding Areas (e.g. pockets, grooves, etc.) are of adjustable materials, and are filled, empty, or selectively filled with a choice of different types of fillers, inserts. The Apparatus is used on a flat surface or bed, or configured to be worn as a garment on a person. The Apparatus is utilized by the person in a lying down position, resting, or sleeping position.
Exoskeleton
The present invention discloses an exoskeleton which comprises a force balance back-carrying unit composed of a back-carrying assisting unit and a front-carrying assisting unit, a hip unit and a lower limb supporting unit, wherein the force balance back-carrying unit transfer the weight of a back-carrying load and/or a front-carrying load to the lower limb supporting unit through the hip unit to achieve the effort of assisting for the back-carrying load and/or the front-carrying load, wherein the length of the hip unit can be adjusted on the left-right plane and the upper-lower plane to adapt to wearers with different body types. On the other hand, the exoskeleton of the present invention is also provided with a buffer device to reduce the impact of the loads on the exoskeleton. The exoskeleton of the present invention also adopts quick-release joints, so as to modularize each part and standardize a docking interface of each module. The present invention can adapt to wearers with different hip shapes, and can transfer the weight of the back-carrying load and the front-carrying load to the lower limb supporting unit separately and simultaneously, so as to increase the weight-bearing efficiency and reduce the injuries to the back, the hands and the ankle joint.
BACK SUPPORT SYSTEM
A back support system includes a flexible support formed in the shape of a portion of a spine of a person, the flexible support extending in an “S” shape corresponding to the shape of the spine, a brace portion coupled to the flexible support proximate ends of the flexible support, the brace portion adapted to force the spring portion toward the spine as a wearer bends, and at least one rib extending between the flexible support and the brace portion.
Compositions and methods for treating severe pain
The present specification discloses pharmaceutical compositions, methods of preparing such pharmaceutical compositions, and methods and uses of treating a chronic inflammation and/or an inflammatory disease in an individual using such pharmaceutical compositions.
POSTURE CORRECTION BRACE
A posture correction brace is disclosed. The brace includes a first member for supporting the back portion of the user, a pair of second members, a third member and a fourth elastic member. The pair of second members extend from the superior side of the first member and extend over the shoulders of the user. The third member extends laterally from the inferior side of the first member and surround the waist portion of the user. The fourth elastic member is connected between the pair of second members at the anterior side in a horizontal direction or between the pair of second members and the third member at the anterior side of the user in a vertical direction. The fourth elastic member is configured to offer resistance to at least one of staying erect or stretching the chest for keeping the shoulder broad.
