SMART BELT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A smart belt and a method for controlling the same are provided. The smart belt includes a body having a front surface and side surfaces and allowing a strap to be inserted through the side surfaces to be movable in a first direction, a gear unit provided in the body and configured to adjust an amount of tightening of the strap, and a cover configured to cover a rear surface of the body, wherein the gear unit includes a first shaft provided in a second direction intersecting with the first direction and having a first gear, and a second shaft intersecting with the first shaft and having a second gear engaged with the first gear, wherein the amount of tightening of the strap is adjusted as a rotation force of the second shaft is transferred to the first shaft through the first and second gears.
PAD
A pad for a bandage or orthosis has a front surface and a rear surface. At least a subarea of the rear surface has connection pieces which form a mesh structure having interstices.
WAIST SUPPORTER STRUCTURE WITH AN AUXILIARY BELT
A waist supporter structure with an auxiliary belt includes a waist pad, two knee wraps installed to both sides of the waist pad respectively and including a first belt member and a second belt member fixed to the waist pad and extended from both sides of the waist pad respectively, and two auxiliary waist belt devices fixed to both sides of the waist pad and extended from the sides of the waist pad respectively and including a first waist belt member and a second waist belt member, and the waist belt members are wound around a user's waist and buckled in front of the user's abdomen, so that when the user leaves the seat, the user needs not to readjust the waist supporting structure for reusing the structure, so as to improve the convenience of use.
Lower back support system
A lower back support system (LBSS) that provides increased support to a person's lower spine and back muscle group. The LBSS includes a first belt, a second belt, a quick release buckle and an adjustable belt glide. Additionally, a back rack that consists of a first shoulder support, a second shoulder support as well as other yoke, front and side supports can also be utilized. Substantially centered and attached by an attachment device to the front of the first belt is an abdominal support brace. Substantially centered and attached to the rear of the first belt is a back support brace which is specially designed and dimensioned to provide maximum support to a typical person's lower back. When wearing the LBSS a person is more protected against strain and injury by supporting his/her lower back when lifting, carrying or wearing an object(s) or being physically jarred. The LBSS shifts load from a person's single spine to their two legs.
Trunk supporting exoskeleton and method of use
A trunk supporting exoskeleton comprises: a supporting trunk; thigh links configured to move in unison with a person's thighs; and first and second torque generators located on both left and right halves of the person substantially close to the person's hip. The torque generators couple the supporting trunk to the thigh links, and generate torque between the thigh links and the supporting trunk. When the person bends forward such that a predetermined portion of the supporting trunk passes beyond a predetermined angle from vertical, a torque generator(s) imposes a resisting torque between the supporting trunk and the thigh link(s), causing the supporting trunk to impose a force against the person's trunk, and the thigh link(s) to impose a force onto the person's thigh. When the predetermined portion does not pass beyond the predetermined angle, the torque generators impose no resisting torques between said supporting trunk and respective thigh links.
TLSO/LSO SPINE BRACE
The disclosure provides a brace for supporting a spine of a patient. The brace includes an anterior panel, a posterior panel, lateral panels bridging between the anterior panel and the posterior panel, and an adjustable belt tightenable around the anterior panel, the brace selectively configurable to include either lateral panels attachable to the posterior, a posterior thoracic extension attachable to the posterior panel or a dorsal lumbar extension attachable to the posterior panel.
POSTURE PERFORMANCE GARMENT
Various embodiments are described herein for a garment for improving an individual's posture when the individual wears the garment. The garment may comprise front and rear garment portions to cover at least a front portion and a rear portion respectively of the individual's torso. The garment also includes an adjustable set of straps that are adjustable from a rest position to a tensioned position and are collectively disposed over shoulder regions and under armpit regions of the front and rear garment portions. When the individual wears the garment and adjusts the straps to the tensioned position, the straps exert a downward retraction pulling force on the individual's shoulders and a backward pulling force on the individual's chest region thereby improving the individual's posture.
Abdominal sacral waist support belt
In order to provide efficient support for a user's back, the belt of the present application includes structures to help align and maintain the position of three portions of the users body—an upper abdominal region, a lower abdominal region and the lower back. To provide this support, a belt has an abdominal panel configured to be positioned over the user's abdomen, and a belt member wrapping around the waist region. The abdominal panel has a specific configuration and size to cause an upper portion of the abdomen is held in position and a lower portion of the abdomen to be held in position, with forces being applied so that these portions remain in a preferred alignment. The belt member includes a strap that is configured so that it can be positioned within the user's waist groove, and will provide additional supporting forces. In this way, the belt provides support to three critical locations on the user's body, thus insuring optimum alignment and support of the user's central body region.
Portable, Pre-calibrated and Wearable Laser Device for Treating Pain and Inflammation
Various types of low level laser therapy (LLLT) wrap devices, methods of use, and a system comprising a mobile application, for the treatment of pain from musculoskeletal injuries or medical conditions, and to capture “patient's vitals”. Each wrap is fitted to a specific body part (e.g. knee), lightweight, portable so that it is wearable beneath clothing; and with a battery-powered electrical circuit embedded within the wrap, comprising: a plurality of laser diodes to treat surface and/or deep tissue pain; sensors (e.g. safety and/or patient vital sign monitoring); and a wireless transceiver for transmitting data (sensor and patient pain levels) to a mobile application. The wrap may also function as an orthopedic support; and is pre-calibrated for a specific duration to deliver a clinical strength dosage from 630 nm to 904 nm that is specific to the medical disorder and/or the user anatomical area, with an automatic shut-off after dose delivery.
Apparatus for Fixing Bad Posture
An apparatus for fixing bad posture includes a support rod, multiple length-adjustable straps, and multiple strap-attachment points. The apparatus for fixing bad posture prevents the user from slouching by affixing the support rod to the user's back with the straps. The support rod is a rigid member that is placed against a user's back. The support rod has a rod body, a mounting face, and a bracing face. The rod body is the structural component of the support rod. The bracing face and mounting face are positioned on opposite lateral surfaces of the rod body. Thus positioned, the bracing face is pressed against the user's back when correcting posture. The strap-attachment points are connection mechanisms for the length-adjustable straps that are distributed along the length of the support rod. As such, each of the length-adjustable straps is attached to the support rod by a corresponding strap-attachment point.
