Adjustable cervical traction assemblies for person support apparatuses

A cervical traction assembly for use with a patient support apparatus includes an adjustment carriage track member including a connecting bracket assembly that releasably connects to a mount support member of the patient support apparatus. The adjustment track member includes a track body including a pair of opposing sidewalls that are spaced-apart from each other to define an elongated channel therebetween. Each sidewall includes a guide track that extends along a length of the respective sidewall. A rope angle adjustment carriage is located within the channel. The rope angle adjustment carriage includes a first track engagement member that is received by one of the guide tracks of one of the sidewalls and a second track engagement member that is received by another of the guide tracks of another of the sidewalls. The first track engagement member has a locked configuration that inhibits movement of the rope angle adjustment carriage.

The present system generally relates to a therapy device for applying traction to a patient's head and neck. A collar includes a fastener that secures the collar in a ring shape. It is provided with straps that extend from an exterior circumference of the ring. The collar may be positioned around a patients neck such that applying a traction force to the straps translates that force to the collar which in turn applies force to the underside of the patient's jaw and to the base of the patient's skull and thereby applies traction therapy to the patient's neck.

Apparatus for Applying Multi-Dimensional Traction to the Spinal Column

A physical medicine table for treating a patient's spine that is capable of providing precise, repeatable, and effective traction force treatment to a patient in multiple dimensions to adjust an unhealthy spinal structure towards a normal, healthy structure. Generally, the spinal structure treatment can be applied to a patient using the described traction device to secure the patient to the adjustable support portions and selectively impart a combination of longitudinal Y-axis traction forces, lateral X-axis traction forces and/or sagittal Z-axis traction forces to the patient using a control system in accordance with a prescribed treatment regimen.
