Aspects of the present disclosure may address a virtual gaming system. The virtual gaming system may present various graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to a user, in conjunction with a device used by the user, in a client-server configuration. The virtual gaming system may facilitate play of games using at least two virtual currencies, where one virtual currency is purchased and has no monetary value and the second virtual currency may not be purchased but has monetary value. Separate sets of games may be provided for play using the at least two virtual currencies. It may also be possible, in some cases, to obtain first virtual currency, second virtual currency, or both, other than by purchase.

An electronic gaming device having a display and a game controller, and playing an iterative game. During the iterative game, the game controller controls the display to display a set of columns of symbol positions, and selects symbols for display at the symbol positions. EVENT-BASED CURRENCY
An approach to facilitating event-based currency is provided. A first virtual currency usable by users of a game space to purchase in-space benefits may be managed. An event in the game space that is conducted during an event time period may be managed such that, during the event time period, an event virtual currency may be distributed to one or more of the users as a reward for certain operations and/or achievements performed in the game space during the event time period. Exchanges of in-space benefits associated with the event virtual currency may be effectuated for one or more of the users. In some implementations, the event virtual currency may not available to the users after the event time period, while the first virtual currency may be available to the users during and after the event time period.

Embodiments may include generating a first pool for a real-world event, generating a bet on the first pool, and generating a vote on a second pool, determining a currency payout to a user associated with the vote, and publishing the pool, bet, and vote to the blockchain.
