Disclosed herein is a method where a consumer employs a device associated with the user to scans tags associated with items for purchase. The consumer can pay for the items using the device associated with the user. A point of sale (“POS”) terminal or other such device associated with the merchant scans tags associated with items associated with the user and reconciles the items scanned by the device associated with the user with the items scanned by the device associated with the merchant.

The server is configured to, upon receipt of the amount, determine whether a commodity code associated with a matching weight value is already registered, and upon determining that the commodity code is already registered, issue a command that causes the terminal to display a screen through which inputs can be made for indicating that the commodity has been taken out or cancelling the registration of the removed commodity.

Before return of the transportation means to the depot, the mobile communication device and the transportation means are associated by using a detection means in a first detection process and identifiers of the mobile communication device and the transportation means, which are linked, are stored by at least one computer system. Upon return of the transportation means, a second detection process is done. Data obtained by the two detection processes are used by the at least one computer system to allow the use of the at least one motivator.

The digital keyboard module displays only the configured pre-programmed keys at the same position where the user replaces the position tabs with the pre-programmed keys, further the digital keyboard module allows the user to input instructions corresponding to the pre-programmed keys. The communication module is coupled to the digital keyboard module for sending the received input instructions over the communication network. The digital keyboard system is used to communicate with a scanner to receive product details and further sends the information related to the product details over the communication network.
