HYGIENE SYSTEM FOR A PORTABLE PACKAGED FOOD CONTAINER
A system may automatically conduct hygiene cycles for a confined space such an interior space of a box suitable for storing and/or carrying packaged food. The system may include a hygiene device that can be attached to the box to conduct the hygiene cycles and a user interface device that can wirelessly communicate with the hygiene device to control the conduction of the hygiene cycles. The system may also automatically collect information related to the hygiene cycles using the hygiene device and transmit the collected information to a network directly or through the user interface device.
Transmission rate control of data communications in a wireless camera system
Systems and methods are introduced for rate control of data transmissions in a wireless camera system. In an illustrative embodiment, a computing system selects primary data rates and corresponding fallback data rates to use for transmission of video data. The computing system selects the data rates that provides high-throughput without resulting in wasted energy from retransmissions. The selection may be based upon transmission conditions as well as the record of past data rates, the number of attempts for the data rates, and whether they were successful. These data may be stored as a state machine or for machine learning analysis. Finally, the video data may be aggregated prior to transmission to reduce overhead and improve efficiency.
SMART SPEAKER SYSTEM
A smart speaker system is used as an emergency notification system. The smart speaker has a loudspeaker, a microphone, a visual display, processing capability, and an emergency flasher in the same enclosure. The smart speaker is in communication with a network-connected server providing at least distribution of emergency notification messages to appropriate clients. The amount of audio processing shared between the smart speaker and the server may vary, depending on the requirements of the installation site. Once an emergency voice communication is detected in the microphone output, the system generates a confirmation message that is played over the loudspeaker. Upon detection of an appropriate voice response from the user, the system generates an emergency response message, sends it to the distribution network, and activates the visual display, loudspeaker, and emergency flasher. Noise cancellation circuitry prevents loudspeaker interference with microphone output.
Caregiver locating tag having advanced functionality
A caregiver badge system includes a caregiver badge configured to be worn by a caregiver and having a cavity defined therein. An identification badge is configured to be positioned within the cavity. The identification badge is removable from the caregiver badge. A transceiver is positioned within the caregiver badge and configured to communicate with a positioning system to identify a location of the caregiver. A battery is positioned within the caregiver badge to power the transceiver.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING WELD QUALITY CONFIDENCE
Systems and methods for welding are described. The welding system can include, for example, a welding power source, a welding torch, and a computer. The computer and the welding torch can be operatively coupled to the power source. A first weld is performed and its signature is saved by the computer. It is considered a high quality weld and is selected as a weld reference. A second weld is performed and its signature is saved by the computer. The computer then computes a single weld confidence result for the second weld based on a comparison between the signature data of the second weld and the signature data of the reference weld. A weld fault condition is triggered based on the single weld confidence result which causes the welding system to stop or to modify the welding operation, and/or which causes the welding system to send out communications relating to the triggering of the weld fault condition.
Apparatus and methods for providing emergency alerts and securing a premises
A security system includes an individual subscriber unit, an emergency alarm device proximate to a location frequented by people, and a control system configured to a) receive an emergency alert message from the individual subscriber unit, b) receive an emergency stand-down message from the individual subscriber unit, c) automatically transmit an emergency alert signal in response to the control system receiving the emergency alert message from the individual subscriber unit, and d) automatically transmit an emergency stand-down signal in response to the control system receiving the emergency stand-down message from the individual subscriber unit. The emergency alarm device is operatively coupled to the control system for automatically activating for issuing an alert for warning people at the location that an emergency is present, in response to the emergency alert signal, and automatically deactivating for terminating the alert, in response to the emergency stand-down signal.
Wirelessly Activated Monitored Safety Temperature Sensing Alarm
This Wireless Safety Temperature Sensing Alarm is a thermally actuated alarm designed to send a wireless signal to a remote base which will turn on a buzzer, a visual light signal or an emergency alert system to alert anyone around that a child/person/pet/plant has been left in a confined environment that is experiencing extreme temperatures, whether hot or cold. It can also simply alert someone that a certain device or environment has reached the user defined set point temperature. It consists of 2 units: a base and a remote. The base is easily installed on any kind of carrier or as a standalone fixture, and it is designed to sense the temperature of the environment that the child/person/pet/plant is in and it can trigger a wireless signal on the remote to turn on the buzzer/alarm, and a flashing light for people who are hearing impaired or send an RF signal emergency alert. It's designed with a 10 minute turn-on delay to prevent false alarms upon startup. It also has a low-battery alert as an add-on safety precaution. The remote can be easily carried on or as a standalone device, or is easily installed on the exterior of the confined environment which the child/person/pet/plant is in. This makes it possible for anyone who is nearby to hear/see the alarm and take action. Many lives of children, beloved people, pets, and plants could be saved (and financial loss or wasted time could be prevented) using this easy to install invention. A future development of the product will be able to alert an emergency system in case that human lives are in danger of extreme temperatures.
Portable electronic device for monitoring and alerting about the presence of an object
A portable electronic device used for monitoring and alerting about the presence of an object includes an enclosure having a portability mechanism and an electronic circuit having a motion detection sensor, a bipolar junction transistor, an alert generator, a Bluetooth module and a power source coupled to the motion detection sensor, the bipolar junction transistor, the alert generator and the Bluetooth module. The motion detection sensor is configured to detect movement of the object across an area in front of the sensor and generate a timed output signal. The bipolar junction transistor is communicatively coupled to the motion detection sensor and configured to activate a control signal in response to the timed output signal. The alert generator and the Bluetooth module are communicatively coupled to the bipolar junction transistor and configured to produce an alert and a Bluetooth signal respectively in response to the control signal.
MEDICAL FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM INCLUDING REMOTE MACHINE UPDATING AND CONTROL
A medical fluid delivery system including remote machine updating and control is disclosed. An example medical fluid delivery system includes a first fluid delivery device for a first patient and a second fluid delivery device for a second patient. The medical fluid delivery system also includes a server in communication with the first and second fluid delivery devices and a software application for a mobile device. The software application receives status updates from the fluid delivery devices via the server and the first and second links.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXCHANGING MESSAGES WITH USERS OF A REAL PROPERTY MONITORING AND CONTROL SYSTEM
A monitoring and control system receives input indicating occupancy state of a user with regard to a designated area, or a plurality of areas therein or portions thereof. The system further receives, from one or more of a plurality of sensing capable devices of, or in communication with, the monitoring and control system, input indicating a respective event involving the user entering or exiting the designated area, or an area therein or portion thereof, the sensing capable devices situated on or near the user, within the designated area, or in one or more of the plurality of areas therein, or portions thereof. The system transmits a message to the user responsive to the respective event involving the user entering or exiting the designated area and the occupancy state of the user with regard to the designated area.
