An example portable heating device includes a container, one or more heating elements, an electronic device, one or more temperature sensors, a controller, a power supply, and a power supply controller. The one or more heating elements are in thermal contact with the container. The electronic device is configured to receive a user input selecting a target temperature to heat a substance in the container to and to display the target temperature. The controller is configured to cause the one or more heating elements to heat the substance to the target temperature in response to determining the current temperature of the substance measured by the one or more temperature sensors is less than the target temperature. The power supply is configured to provide power to the one or more heating elements, the electronic device, the one or more temperature sensors, and the controller.

Multi-sensor motion detection

Use of multiple sensors to determine whether motion of an object is occurring in an area is described. In one aspect, an infrared (IR) sensor can be supplemented with a radar sensor to determine whether the determined motion of an object is not a false positive.

A wireless communication tape, dispenser of the same and methods of usage of the wireless tape and the dispenser in asset tracking applications are disclosed. The wireless communication tape can be manufactured in an ultrathin form factor by laminating a stack of layers to impart functionality to the wireless communication tape. Methods of use and operation of the wireless communication tape are disclosed to save battery resources of the communication tape.

TIME MONITORING SYSTEM
20210264374 · 2021-08-26 ·

An employee time-monitoring system includes a computing device and a number of cameras in electrical communication with the computing device. The cameras may be installed at various locations of a workplace, e.g., at entrances and exits to the work facility, at employee workstations, and at breakrooms and at other common areas. In some embodiments, the computing device is configured to analyze data associated with photographs/videos recorded from the cameras in order to determine via facial recognition whether the data recorded from the cameras substantially matches data associated with a specific employee. In this manner, the employee time-monitoring system can automatically record a time of clock-in or clock-out of the employee that has been recognized via facial recognition. Advantageously, the system can automatically determine whether an employee is beginning a shift, ending a shift, visiting for nonwork related purposes, or taking a break, and can send the employee SMS break reminders.
