Method and apparatus for industrial product tamper detection
A tamper detection apparatus includes a switch and a tamper detection circuit with a non-volatile memory in an industrial product enclosure. In response to the switch detecting a door or panel of an industrial product enclosure being open when an electronic component or system in the enclosure is unpowered, the tamper detection circuit stores a tamper event code in the non-volatile memory. After the electronic component or system is powered, a system processor obtains the tamper event code from the tamper detection circuit and refrains from operating a machine or process pending reset of the industrial product by a user.
PORTIONS OF A SECURITY DEVICE SYSTEM; METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THEM
A security device system including portions configured to have a combined state and a separated state. In the combined state, circuitry is configured to have an armed state and a not-armed state, and to trigger an alarm during a breach of the armed state. Depending on the embodiment, at least one of the portions, and in some embodiments more than one of the portions, participate in the armed and not-armed states. In some embodiments, the security device system includes an alarm device portion, a cradle portion, and a stratum portion.
RECOILER FOR A MERCHANDISE SECURITY SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to recoilers, merchandise security systems, and methods for displaying and protecting an article of merchandise from theft. In one example, the merchandise security system includes a sensor configured to be secured to the article of merchandise and a base for removably supporting the sensor and the item of merchandise thereon. The system also includes a recoiler operably coupled to the sensor. The recoiler includes a rotatable member defining a helical recess. The system further includes a cable configured to connect to the sensor and to be unwound from and wound on the rotatable member as the cable is extended and retracted. The cable is configured to be extended from the recoiler in response to the sensor being lifted off of the base, and the cable is configured to be retracted into the recoiler in response to the sensor being moved to a seated position on the base. The helical recess is configured to at least partially receive the cable therein as the cable is wound on the rotatable member.
System for securing delivered packages
A system for use to secure delivered packages can include a housing, at least one electromechanically operated security door securing access to the housing and a control panel for receiving input to release the electromechanically secured door from the housing. Communications components, alarms and cameras can also be associated with the housing to facilitate its security and operation for package receipt (delivery) and security. Heating and cooling system components can maintain contents of a package held within the housing at a select temperatures.
Apparatus for securing a package
An apparatus for securing a package includes a flexible tear-resistant bag and an anchor system for securing the bag to a substrate. The bag includes a receptacle defining a package receiving space and a closure mechanism connected to the receptacle for selectively closing the receptacle. The anchor assembly includes a housing, a fastener, and an anchor securable to the substrate. The housing may be positioned in the package receiving space with the fastener extending through the housing and the receptacle and matingly received in the anchor. A door of the housing may be secured in a closed position to limit access to the fastener. In some embodiments, the bag of the apparatus may also be provided with an alarm system so if an unauthorized entry is attempted by cutting the tear-resistant bag the alarm system will emit an alerting signal.
ASSET TRACKING AND NOTIFICATION PROCESSING
An asset is identified in a predefined area. The type of asset is identified through video or wireless tag identification. A security policy associated with the type of asset is obtained. Entries in an asset log are recorded based on a location of the asset, an individual handling the asset, and/or actions taken by an individual with respect to the asset based on the security policy. A real-time notification is sent when the location, the handling, and/or any of the actions warrant a notification based on the security policy.
Tamper detection system
A system for securely transporting an item is disclosed, the system comprising a container comprising walls defining an inner cavity and a detection means for detecting tampering, wherein the detection means is contained within the walls of the container. The system further comprises an electronic sensor module, wherein the electronic sensor module comprises a continuity sensor configured to detect a discontinuity in the detection means. The system further comprises a transmitter configured to transmit a signal indicative of whether or not the continuity sensor has detected a discontinuity in the detection means. The signal may comprise a first type of signal responsive to the continuity sensor not detecting a discontinuity in the detection means and a second type of signal responsive to the continuity sensor detecting a discontinuity in the detection means. The transmitter is further configured to transmit a signal indicative of the continuity sensor having detected a discontinuity in the detection means after a pre-determined period of time has elapsed. The system thereby provides a system for remotely detecting tampering and improving the security of transported items to an expected location.
System for routing articles by individuals who are members of a community, carrying out a control of the contents by imaging during transfer of the package between individuals
The invention concerns a system for dispatching objects via individuals of a community using packages intended to contain the objects and given at least one recognition code, a computing platform including at least one computing application intended to be downloaded by the computing units held by the individuals of the community, and each package is provided with at least one image sensor for said object(s), and the system includes a module to determine and detect a predetermined key step in the dispatching of the package, and the computing platform and/or the computing units are parameterized to transmit an image capture request to the image sensor(s) at each predetermined key step of dispatch; and receive images, via the computing application, relating to said object(s) taken by the image sensor(s).
SYSTEM FOR SECURING CONTENTS IN A CONTAINER
A system for securing contents in a container that can include a housing, at least one electromechanically operated security door securing access to the housing and a control panel for receiving input to release the electromechanically secured door from the housing. Communications components, alarms and cameras can also be associated with the housing to facilitate its security and operation and can also adapt it for access and/or package receipt (delivery) by a third party, and overall preservation and security of contents stored therein. Heating and cooling system components can maintain contents of valuable contents held within the housing at a select temperatures.
