The anchor assembly includes a housing, a fastener, and an anchor securable to the substrate. The housing may be positioned in the package receiving space with the fastener extending through the housing and the receptacle and matingly received in the anchor. A door of the housing may be secured in a closed position to limit access to the fastener. In some embodiments, the bag of the apparatus may also be provided with an alarm system so if an unauthorized entry is attempted by cutting the tear-resistant bag the alarm system will emit an alerting signal.

SYSTEM FOR SECURING DELIVERED PACKAGES

A system for use to secure delivered packages can include a housing, at least one electromechanically operated security door securing access to the housing and a control panel for receiving input to release the electromechanically secured door from the housing. Communications components, alarms and cameras can also be associated with the housing to facilitate is security and operation for package receipt (delivery) and security. Heating and cooling system components can maintain contents of a package held within the housing at a select temperatures.

Smart trailer system

A smart trailer system coupled to a trailer of a vehicle includes a sensor configured to measure a parameter of the trailer, a sensor interface board electrically coupled to the sensor and configured to retrieve the measured parameter, and a master controller communicatively coupled to the sensor interface board via a data bus.

TAMPER DETECTION SYSTEM
20200357262 · 2020-11-12 ·

A system for securely transporting an item is disclosed, the system comprising a container comprising walls defining an inner cavity and a detection means for detecting tampering, wherein the detection means is contained within the walls of the container. The system further comprises an electronic sensor module, wherein the electronic sensor module comprises a continuity sensor configured to detect a discontinuity in the detection means. The system further comprises a transmitter configured to transmit a signal indicative of whether or not the continuity sensor has detected a discontinuity in the detection means. The signal may comprise a first type of signal responsive to the continuity sensor not detecting a discontinuity in the detection means and a second type of signal responsive to the continuity sensor detecting a discontinuity in the detection means. The transmitter is further configured to transmit a signal indicative of the continuity sensor having detected a discontinuity in the detection means after a pre-determined period of time has elapsed. The system thereby provides a system for remotely detecting tampering and improving the security of transported items to an expected location.

Tamper-evident item and item validation system and method

A tamper sensing element is provided which can be applied to a product having a housing or casing with a critical area where the housing or casing can be opened or separated at or along a critical area. The tamper sensing element is operable to determine if the housing or casing has been opened or separated at or along the critical area. The tamper sensing element comprises a sensor for detecting a change in a monitored parameter indicative of the housing or casing having been opened or separated at or along the critical area, a memory for storing product data and tag data; a circuit for updating the memory upon detection of a change in the parameter monitored by the sensor; and means for transmitting information contained in the memory upon being queried by a scanning device. Also disclosed is a system and method for use at security check points for scanning/screening products provided with the tamper sensing element so that a security official/screener can readily determine if a product has potentially been tampered with.

A system for use to secure delivered packages can include a box, at least one electromechanically operated security door securing access to the box and a control panel for receiving input to release the electromechanically secured door from the box. Communications components, alarms and cameras can also be associated with the box to facilitate its security and operation for package receipt (delivery) and security.

Methods and systems for determining the time at which a seal was broken

Systems and methods are provided for determining when the seal of a sealed container was broken. Such can include a sealed container with a seal that separates an interior of the container from the outside environment. An environmentally sensitive conductor of an electrical circuit is positioned within the interior of the sealed container. The conductor has an electrical property with a known initial value that changes in a predictable manner as a function of time and exposure to the outside environment. Accordingly, breaking the seal and exposing the conductor to the environment causes the electrical property of the conductor to change. When a present value of the electrical property is determined, it may be used in combination with the initial value and the expected change in the value over time in order to determine the time at which the seal was broken.
