The base includes a charging circuit for providing power to the sensor and/or the item of merchandise. The security system also includes a controller operably coupled to the base and a key configured to wirelessly communicate with the base and/or controller. The sensor is configured to wirelessly communicate with the base.
Systems and Methods to Enable Secure Exchange of Goods in Package Receptacles, and Remote Monitoring and Control of Package Receptacles and Its Surroundings
This invention involves a novel method, device, system and apparatus to receive, return or exchange packages and goods securely, and to monitor and control a parcel receptacle remotely. The invention comprises of a DoorBox and a Smart DoorBox and utilizes a parcel receptacle and a host of electronic features and Internet of things (IOT) technologies. The security, apparatus is connectable to any fixture, including to one or more parcel receptacles. The parcel receptacles can be secured via a physical cable and a security apparatus, or secured via connectivity to a wireless network. The parcel receptacles can also be secured via a GPS module, accelerometer and other technological devices inside parcel receptacle. The locking mechanism in the security apparatus and/or on the parcel receptacle can be of technological in nature using the latest advancements in IOT and other wireless technologies, or alternatively, involve simple locking mechanisms. The apparatus allows access to parcels to authenticated users only and involve many safety features including an audible alarm, mobile-app alerts, camera and a host of advanced features. The parcel receptacle can be integrated with smart home systems and can have a host of security features to monitor, alert any intruders.
LOW PROFILE MERCHANDISE SECURITY SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to security systems for securing an item of merchandise from theft or unauthorized removal. For example, the security system may include a sensor configured to be coupled to the item of merchandise and a base configured to removably support the sensor and the item of merchandise thereon. The sensor has a generally L-shaped surface for being secured to a portion of the rear and bottom surfaces of the item of merchandise. The base includes a charging circuit for providing power to the sensor and/or the item of merchandise.
LOCK MECHANISMS FOR MERCHANDISE SECURITY SYSTEMS
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to merchandise security devices, systems, and methods for displaying and protecting an article of merchandise from theft. In one example, the merchandise security system includes a security device comprising a sensor configured to be secured to the article of merchandise, a cable configured to releasably engage the sensor, and a lock mechanism configured to releasably lock the cable to the sensor in a locked position. The cable is removable from the sensor when the lock mechanism is in an unlocked position. The system also includes a remote device configured to wirelessly communicate with the security device, wherein the remote device is configured to transmit a command to the security device for locking or unlocking the lock mechanism.
Gateway-based anti-theft security system and method
Improved systems and techniques are disclosed for controlling the security states of anti-theft security systems such as product display assemblies using security fobs. The tasks relating to fob authentication are offloaded to a computer system, and these authentications can be based on identifiers for the different security fobs. The computer system can maintain a list of identifiers for authorized security fobs that is easily updated when new security fobs are added to or existing security fobs are de-authorized from the system.
