Such systems and methods tan include a microprocessor unit sampling data from a smart microwave sensor module to detect the presence of the object or the intruder, using the data to calculate a velocity of the object or intruder, using the data to calculate a distance between the smart microwave sensor module and the object or the intruder, determining whether the velocity is within a predefined range, and using the distance to determine whether the object or the intruder is within a designated protection territory. Such systems and methods also may include recording trigger positions of the object or the intruder when the velocity is within the predefined range and the distance indicates the object or the intruder is within the designated protection territory.

ALARM PANE ASSEMBLY

An alarm pane assembly is presented. The assembly includes a pane made of tempered glass, a transparent, electrically conductive coating arranged on a surface of the pane, a sensor unit, and an antenna. According to one aspect, the sensor unit includes a transmitting unit and an evaluation unit. During operation, the transmitting unit forwards a high-frequency voltage signal with a frequency f in a range of 0.1 GHz to 6 GHz to the antenna, the antenna emits electromagnetic radiation of the frequency f, the evaluation unit measures the impedance matching of the transmitting unit to the antenna, and the sensor unit outputs an alarm signal when the measured impedance matching deviates from a reference value. According to another aspect, the transparent, electrically conductive coating has a region with at least one coating-free pattern that overlaps the area of the orthogonal projection of the antenna onto the transparent, electrically conductive coating.

A mobile robot is configured for operation in a commercial or industrial setting, such as an office building or retail store. The robot can patrol one or more routes within a building, and can detect violations of security policies by objects, building infrastructure and security systems, or individuals. In response to the detected violations, the robot can perform one or more security operations. The robot can include a removable fabric panel, enabling sensors within the robot body to capture signals that propagate through the fabric. In addition, the robot can scan RFID tags of objects within an area, for instance coupled to store inventory. Likewise, the robot can generate or update one or more semantic maps for use by the robot in navigating an area and for measuring compliance with security policies.

Detecting unauthorized physical access via wireless electronic device identifiers

Monitoring a physical area for unauthorized access by a user of a wireless device includes setting a wireless signal scanning range using at least one wireless scanning device, detecting a wireless signal within the scanning range, determining a status of the wireless device of authorized, unauthorized or unknown, monitoring scan data obtained from the scanning device during the time the wireless signal remains within the scanning range. A scan data pattern based on the monitored scan data is determined and compared to a scan data pattern database containing scan data patterns indicative of suspicious behavior and determining whether the monitored scan data pattern matches a suspicious scan data pattern based on the comparison. The system identifies the wireless device as unauthorized in response to a match with a suspicious scan data pattern and activates a security alert.

Method, digital tool, device and system for detecting movements of objects and/or living beings in a radio range, in particular of an indoor area

A method, digital tool, device, and system for detecting movements of objects and/or living beings in a radio range, which enables easily with a minimum of hardware complexity an automated movement detection based on a Single-Sensor, is provided. The method includes collecting as input data for the movement detection based on received radio signals of an intended or unintended communication between a transmitting radio terminal being mobile or fixed and a receiving local fixed radio device in the radio range Received Signal Strength-values related quantities, determining a change in the received radio signals, which are derived from the facts that the movement influences the transmitted radio signal in the radio range based on the RSS-values related quantities by the indication of a statistical parameter value, and assessing the statistical parameter value until the statistical parameter value in accordance with a threshold check provides a reliable statement for controlling purposes.

Identifying an identity of a person detected in a monitored location
10410499 · 2019-09-10 · ·

A system of identifying a person's identity in a monitored site, comprising communication interface(s) for communicating with motion sensor(s) each monitoring one of a plurality of monitored spaces of a monitored site, RF receiver(s), each having a reception coverage area overlapping with one of the monitored spaces and transmitter(s) for transmitting a request message, a program store storing a code and processor(s) for executing code to, receive from a detecting sensor a presence indication in a detecting space of the monitored spaces, instruct the transmitter(s) to transmit a request message in the monitored site following the indication reception and estimate an identity of a person by analyzing a unique identification signal captured by RF receiver(s) having reception coverage area that overlaps with the detecting space. The unique identification signal is transmitted by an identification device of an associated person in response to the request message reception.
