Baby Vitals Monitor

A method for monitoring a child utilizing a smart wearable. Biometrics of the child are measured utilizing at least the smart wearable. A status of the child and of the smart wearable is monitored. An alert is generated in response to determining the child has had an impact greater than a threshold, moves beyond a geo-fenced area, one or more of the biometrics exceeds a threshold, and determining the smart wearable has been cut, damaged, or broken.

SOCIAL DISTANCING REMINDER DEVICE

A wearable Social Distance Reminder (SDR) device can signal that a preset distance between the device and an individual has been breached. The device can remind people to maintain a certain predetermined social distance to avoid transfer of airborne pathogens and minimize spread of diseases.

A system and associated equipment are provided to facilitate social distancing. The system issues alarms when the distance between a user and an object is at or below a social distancing threshold. The system enables trade-offs between risk and a desire to have in-person interaction for different activities by using one or more variable social distancing thresholds that may be based on social distancing guidelines and user characteristics.

Vehicle with rear occupant alert function and method of controlling the same

A vehicle includes a first detector configured to transmit and receive an ultrasonic signal to detect a presence or absence of an occupant inside the vehicle based on the ultrasonic signal; a second detector configured to detect an opening and closing state of a window including at least one of an upper window or a side window provided in the vehicle; and a controller configured to compare an intensity of the ultrasonic signal received by the first detector and a preset level to determine the presence of the occupant. The controller may be configured to change the preset level based on the opening and closing state detected by the second detector.

Digital fingerprint tracking

Techniques are described for tracking intruders of a monitored property by the unique identifying characteristics or “digital fingerprints” of electronic devices carried by the intruders. A system detects an alarm event at a monitored property based on output from at least one sensor located at the monitored property. In response to detecting the alarm event at the monitored property, the system initiates a process to gather electronic identifiers for mobile electronic devices located within the monitored property at a time corresponding to the detected alarm event. The system determines electronic identifiers for the mobile electronic devices located within the monitored property at a time corresponding to the detected alarm event. The system stores in electronic storage, information indicating the determined electronic identifiers for the mobile electronic devices located within the monitored property at a time corresponding to the detected alarm event.

CHILD SAFETY IN A VEHICLE ALERT SYSTEM AND METHOD

An alert system to assist in child safety in a vehicle includes a seat belt buckle insert adapted to be inserted between the male and female parts of a standard safety belt found in most automobiles or for a child car safety seat. It may also include a portable receiver device designed to be carried by a vehicle operator. The seat belt buckle insert detects whether the seat belt has been buckled and the temperature is within an acceptable range, as well as the approximate distance between the seat belt buckle insert and portable receiver device. The seat belt buckle transmits information gathered to the portable receiver device and triggers alerts notifying the vehicle operator of a child's safety status.

Compliance metrics for offender monitoring devices

Example techniques of this disclosure are directed determining one or more values that represent a monitoring attribute for one or more body-worn tracking devices (BWTDs). In some instances, the techniques include determining a compliance metric that represents a level of compliance for at least one offender. That is, the compliance metric may be a quantitative value that represents whether a user wearing BWTD is complying with established rules or desired behaviors.

Alarming system for multi-unit buildings

Devices, systems, and methods for an alarming system for multi-unit buildings are described herein. One system includes a number of remote sensors positioned in a building having common areas and individual units occupied by occupants, the remote sensors are provided for sensing an alarm condition, a central control panel located in the common areas of the building for collecting data from the remote sensors, the control panel utilized for analyzing the collected data, determining whether to initiate an alarm, and sending one or more signals to initiate an alarm, if an alarm is to be initiated, and an occupant input device located in at least one individual unit for requesting a delay in initiating the alarm.
