PACKAGE PROTECTION USING EXISTING SECURITY SYSTEM

A computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a base station of a security system, an identification of a shipment package, the identification received from a first security sensor that is part of the security system. The method further includes adding, by the base station, a shipment device of the shipment package as a second security sensor of the security system. The method further includes configuring, by the base station, the shipment device in protect-mode, wherein the shipment device sounds an alarm in response to the shipment being displaced by at least a predetermined distance when in the protect-mode. The method further includes reconfiguring, by the base station, the shipment device in safe-mode in response to receiving, from a customer associated with the shipment package, a confirmation signal that the shipment package has been safely received.

The inventory control system process includes steps for printing a circuit to a sheet stock having at least one ID tag formed therewith such that the circuit is carried by the ID tag, assigning a unique identification code to the circuit associated with the ID tag, removing the ID tag carrying the circuit from the sheet stock, associating the removed ID tag with a product, and entering the product into an inventory control system secured in connection with a user account accessible only by an authorized user associated with the user account, for real-time location tracking of the product thereof by way of the circuit.

COMPLIANCE METRICS FOR OFFENDER MONITORING DEVICES

Example techniques of this disclosure are directed determining one or more values that represent a monitoring attribute for one or more body-worn tracking devices (BWTDs). In some instances, the techniques include determining a compliance metric that represents a level of compliance for at least one offender. That is, the compliance metric may be a quantitative value that represents whether a user wearing BWTD is complying with established rules or desired behaviors.

Information handling system with consolidated external user presence detection

An information handling system includes a host device and multiple monitor devices. One of the monitor devices is configured as a parent monitor device, and the remaining monitor devices are configured as child monitor devices. The parent monitor device receives a user presence detect (UPD) status signal, and queries all of the child monitor devices for a current UPD status. In response to the queries, the parent monitor consolidates the current UPD status from each of the child monitor devices and the current UPD status of the parent monitor device. Based on the consolidated current UPD status and based on a UPD policy, the parent monitor device sets a current user status as a user absence or presence. In response to the processor being in a low power state and the current user status being the user presence, the patent monitor device provides a wake notification to the host device.

PROXIMITY TRACKING SYSTEM FOR MONITORING SOCIAL DISTANCING

A proximity monitor includes an electronic processor, a proximity detector, and a memory. The proximity detector is to receive a proximity signal, and the electronic processor is to determine a time-of flight measurement for the proximity signal, determine a proximity measure based on the time-of-flight, identify a proximity event based on the proximity measure, and store a leg entry for the proximity event in the memory, the log entry identifying a first identifier associated with the proximity monitor and a second identifier associated with a sender of the proximity signal.

Determining responder closest to downed responder

A monitoring unit for wireless communication with a plurality of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) units configured to form a network is provided. The monitoring unit includes a communication interface and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to receive, via the communication interface, a plurality of updates from each of the SCBA units where each update includes information indicating at least one communication link quality to at least one other SCBA unit. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine at least one distance from each SCBA unit to at least one other SCBA unit that is one hop away in the network based at least in part on the communication link quality. The processing circuitry is further configured to cause the determined at least one distance to be displayed.

Systems and methods for detecting anomalies in geographic areas

Methods for detecting anomalies in a geographic area include receiving, from an electronic computing device, expected relationship data indicating expected relationships between a plurality of entities within the geographic area; detecting the plurality of entities within the geographic area; generating observed relationship data indicating observed relationships between the plurality of entities; identifying the expected relationships between the plurality of entities based on the expected relationship data; determining that a given observed relationship between two entities of the plurality of entities is likely to represent an anomaly based on the expected relationship data; and providing an electronic notification to a safety officer, the electronic notification indicating that the given observed relationship is likely to represent the anomaly.

ELECTRONIC PATIENT SITTER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING

An electronic sitter management system coupled to patient surveillance network having a plurality of video cameras, each camera transmitting a stream of surveillance video of a respective patient room. The sitter management system includes at least one sitter management device and a plurality of sitter devices. Each device being assigned a plurality of patient rooms and capable of receiving a plurality of streams of surveillance video for the corresponding plurality of patient rooms and simultaneously displaying a plurality of video images of the corresponding plurality of patient rooms. Each device is also capable of transmitting sitter device availability information to the sitter management device. The sitter management device being capable of recognizing a sitter device being unavailable and reassigning the plurality of patient rooms previously assigned to the unavailable device to other of the plurality of sitter devices that are available.

MODULAR TRACKING DEVICE

Techniques and examples pertaining to a tracking method using a two-component tracking device are described. The tracking device includes two components paired with one another: a first component that is specific to a subject the tracking device is intended to track, and a second component that is generic. The second component is capable of establishing a wireless connection with a cellular network, as well as collecting location information of the second component itself. The tracking method involves receiving from the cellular network a set of requirements associated with the subject, and triggering an action based on the set of requirements and the location information collected. The tracking method enables tracking of multiple subjects without a pairing mistake. Namely, a mismatch between multiple subjects to be tracked and multiple tracking devices intended to track the subjects can be avoided.
