COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS IN INTEGRATED SYSTEMS
Systems and methods comprise a gateway at a premises. The gateway is coupled to a remote system. An interface component is coupled to a processor of the gateway. The interface component comprises at least one module that interfaces and exchanges data with a processing component of a security system installed at a location. The processing component uses a proprietary protocol of the security system for processing data of the security system. The processor controls communications that comprise passing commands from the remote systems to the security system, and passing event data of the security system to the remote system.
Power Distribution Equipment Personnel Safety System
A power distribution equipment personnel safety system includes a vicinity sensor and a power distribution equipment sensor. An outer envelope having a door or cover to an interior of the power distribution equipment is monitored by a vicinity sensor data and a processing unit determines a position of a person in the area outside of the door/cover using vicinity sensor data. When the outer envelope is disturbed where one or more doors or one or more covers are open or not correctly closed or one or more covers are removed, the processing unit determines a personnel safety state and at least one action comprising utilization of the personnel safety state.
Location identification system and location identification method
A position specifying system can accurately detect, while reducing a power consumption amount of a carried terminal, a position within a watching area where the target person acts every day and can efficiently detect the position even in an emergency where the target person moves out of the watching area. The terminal transmits, at a first time interval, identification information via short-range wireless communication; acquires, at a second time interval, position information with a GPS function; and transmits the identification information and the position information to a server via long-range wireless communication. A terminal for detection transmits the identification information transmitted from the communicable target person terminal. The server specifies the position of the target person terminal based on information transmitted from the terminal for detection and specifies the position of the target person terminal based on the identification information and the position information transmitted from the target person terminal.
VARIABLE PING RATE FOR A LOCATION TRACKER
Disclosed are techniques for calculating a predicted location of a location tracking device. In an aspect, a wireless communications device detects a breach of a geofence made by the location tracking device, receives data representing a state of the location tracking device, the state of the location tracking device comprising at least a current location of the location tracking device and a velocity of the location tracking device, and determines, based on the data representing the state of the location tracking device, the predicted location of the location tracking device.
Modular tracking device
Techniques and examples pertaining to a tracking method using a two-component tracking device are described. The tracking device includes two components paired with one another: a first component that is specific to a subject the tracking device is intended to track, and a second component that is generic. The second component is capable of establishing a wireless connection with a cellular network, as well as collecting location information of the second component itself. The tracking method involves receiving from the cellular network a set of requirements associated with the subject, and triggering an action based on the set of requirements and the location information collected. The tracking method enables tracking of multiple subjects without a pairing mistake. Namely, a mismatch between multiple subjects to be tracked and multiple tracking devices intended to track the subjects can be avoided.
PERSONAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATION
An operation method is presented for personal emergency response systems (PERS) combining a mobile device, e.g., a smartphone, and a personal device that is easy to carry for the user, e.g., a bracelet or pendant with genuine text, phone and mobile internet capability, both whether or not sensors are wirelessly connected to these devices. A method may improve and automate PERS by consistently supervising the users in case of an emergency by using mainly mobile Internet communication means and devices with immediate display of first responders and a possibility to coordinate ambulance and other official emergency response means, thus omitting the need for geo-fencing, unless desired by the users. A method may facilitate the rescue of a person via PERS by displaying a line of two or more previous and potentially later GPS coordinates and may conserve energy while intermittently receiving GPS coordinates for rescue purposes.
Package protection using existing security system
A computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a base station of a security system, an identification of a shipment package, the identification received from a first security sensor that is part of the security system. The method further includes adding, by the base station, a shipment device of the shipment package as a second security sensor of the security system. The method further includes configuring, by the base station, the shipment device in protect-mode, wherein the shipment device sounds an alarm in response to the shipment being displaced by at least a predetermined distance when in the protect-mode. The method further includes reconfiguring, by the base station, the shipment device in safe-mode in response to receiving, from a customer associated with the shipment package, a confirmation signal that the shipment package has been safely received.
Unattended child alert device for vehicles
The unattended child alert device for vehicle mounts on the door into the passenger compartment of the automobile such that the unattended child alert device for vehicle is positioned in the passenger compartment. The unattended child alert device for vehicle monitors detects when the door is opened and closed. The unattended child alert device for vehicle monitors makes an audible announcement when the door of the automobile is opened. The unattended child alert device for vehicle monitors makes an audible announcement when the door of the automobile is closed. The audible announcement is a spoken message that tells the operator of the automobile to remember their children. The unattended child alert device for vehicle further records short spoken messages that the operator of the automobile would like recorded. The unattended child alert device for vehicle comprises a housing and a control circuit. The housing contains the control circuit.
Multi-modal tracking locator alarm system
Tagged receivers, tracking locator alert systems, and methods of transmitting an alert are disclosed. A tagged receiver receives a command over the network interface hardware, executes the received command, send data indicative of the status of an asset to which the tagged receiver is attached over the network interface hardware, determines an alert event has occurred, and activates an alert in response to determining that the alert event has occurred. The command includes arming the tagged receiver, disarming the tagged receiver, emitting an alert from the tagged receiver, sending data indicative of location, or a combination thereof. The alert event includes the motion sensors sensing a movement of the asset, receiving a command to emit an alert over the network interface hardware, the asset leaving a predetermined geo-fenced area, or a combination thereof.
WEARABLE DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR TRACKING
A wearable device and a system for tracking the wearable device may enhance safety and peace of mind for a parent or caretaker of a child or other individual. The system may include a computing device, such as a smartphone, executing an application that provides alerts based on a distance between the computing device and the wearable device exceeding a threshold distance, based on the wearable device crossing a define geographic boundary, or one or more similar triggers. The wearable device may include an input button that allows a user of the wearable device to send a signal to the computing device of the parent or caretaker. An alert on the computing device might be disabled by pressing the input button on the wearable device.
