Dynamic Virtual Boundary Methods and Systems
20200196107 · 2020-06-18 ·

An exemplary virtual boundary system accesses a positioning signal generated by a positioning system. A geolocation for a real-time tracking device is derivable from the positioning signal within a first margin of error. The virtual boundary system also accesses a correction signal generated by a positioning enhancement system and corresponding to the positioning signal generated by the positioning system. Based on the positioning signal and the correction signal, the virtual boundary system determines a refined geolocation of the real-time tracking device relative to a user-specified geographic boundary. The refined geolocation is accurate within a second margin of error that is less than the first margin of error. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM
20200184794 · 2020-06-11 · ·

A system for monitoring the movements or other activities of patient. Aspects include a monitoring device with one or more sensors such as a pressure or motion sensors that may be positioned on or near a patient. Alerts may be generated by the monitoring device if the sensor readings fall outside predetermined limits set in a patient profile specific to a particular patient. Sensor readings and/or alerts may be sent by the monitoring device to the central server which may notify nearby caregivers that a patient needs assistance. The server may be configured to analyze sensor readings and alert information to refine patient profiles to reduce or eliminate false alarms.

EYEGLASSES-TYPE WEARABLE TERMINAL, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
20200175838 · 2020-06-04 · ·

There is provided an eyeglasses-type wearable terminal that causes a user to more reliably recognize the position of a predetermined object, which includes an image capturing unit that captures the periphery of the user. The eyeglasses-type wearable terminal also includes a determiner that determines whether a predetermined target object is included in a video acquired by image capturing using the image capturing unit. The eyeglasses-type wearable terminal further includes a display unit that displays the position of the predetermined target object in a case in which the determiner determines that the predetermined target object is included.

DETECTING ALLERGIC REACTION AND ALERTING A GUARDIAN DEVICE
20200163611 · 2020-05-28 ·

A method for detecting allergic reaction and alerting a guardian device includes registering a wearable device to associate the wearable device with the guardian device. The wearable device then monitors vital signs to determine whether the vital signs are within an acceptable range. Based on the vital signs being outside the acceptable range, the wearable device sends an alert to the guardian device and determines whether a confirmation signal is received from the guardian device.

Location-based services

Methods and systems are provided for delivering location-based services. The services may include aggregating data indicating a plurality of geographical locations, attributes associated with the geographical locations, and items of content associated with the geographical locations. A current location of an electronic device is obtained and analytics are performed on the aggregate data to select one or more particular geographical locations, wherein the analytics can consider, for example, proximity of the current location of the electronic facility to the geographical locations and the attributes associated with the geographical locations. Items of content stored in the aggregated data and associated with the selected geographical locations are output at a user interface associated with a web or application resource operating on the electronic facility.

LOCATION-BASED SERVICES

A method for providing incentives based on geolocation of mobile devices. The method includes storing, by a server, data including merchant information of merchants and points of interest, and associated incentive information. The method includes determining, based on communication with user's device of a user, a first location of the mobile device. The method includes determining, based on the first location, a first subset of merchants and associated first subset of incentives. The method includes communicating merchant data, including information on the first subsets of merchants and incentives, to the mobile device. The method includes communicating to the mobile device, in response to a determination that the mobile device is inside a geofence associated with at least one of the first subset of merchants, additional information on the at least one of the first subset of merchants, the additional information comprising one or more related incentives.

LOCATION-BASED SERVICES

A method for providing location-based notifications on mobile devices is discussed. The method includes determining a first location of user's mobile device based on IP address, GPS signals, Wi-Fi signals, or cellular signals. The method includes accessing data, received by the mobile device responsive to communicating the first location to a server, indicating merchants in an area proximate to the first location. The method includes determining a second location of the mobile device based on other IP address, GPS signals, Wi-Fi signals, and/or cellular signals. The method includes communicating with the server to determine, based on the second location, that the mobile device has crossed into a geofence that includes at least one of the merchants. The method includes effecting, responsive to a determination that the mobile device crossed into the first geofence, a notification on the mobile device indicating at least one of the merchants at the geofence.

LOCATION-BASED SERVICES

Methods and systems are provided for delivering location-based services, wherein the location-based services may include storing data defining a plurality of physical locations and a plurality of geofences associated with the physical locations, monitoring a current location of a user device, comparing the current location of the user device with each of the geofences, and determining based on the comparison that the current location of the user device is within a particular geofence. Rankings are assigned to the physical locations associated with the particular geofence based on various criteria, including, for example, distances between the user device and the physical locations, user interactions with the physical locations, user preferences, demographics, or consumer purchase history. User-selectable icons corresponding to the physical locations are output at the user device, wherein the positions of the user-selectable icons in an interface are determined based on the assigned rankings.
