Misplacing prevention device
10614698 · 2020-04-07 · ·

A misplacing prevention device capable of preventing leaving items inside and outside a predetermined area is provided. A microprocessor, when a user enters a vehicle interior, determines that the slave device having the ID stored in the memory is not in the vehicle interior based on a communication between a master device and a slave device, detects carrying-in leaving, and notifies the fact. The microprocessor, when the user enters an outside of the vehicle, also notifies a position of the slave device in the vehicle interior.

Securing Property

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for securing property are presented. Video content viewed by a user may be detected, and the user may be automatically prompted to change settings on a security system based on the detecting. A comparison of the current time with the duration of the video content may serve as the basis for such prompting. Additionally, a premise security system may be placed in a learning mode. Changes in position of a security sensor may be detected and used to set a permitted range of motion for the sensor. Further, a plurality of security sensor profiles may be stored, and each profile may identify a different predefined permitted range of motion of a sensor. The addition of a new sensor to a premise may be detected, and a user may be prompted, on a display, to identify a profile to be used for the new sensor.

Wearable alarm system incorporating phased-array radar water sensing
10422873 · 2019-09-24 ·

A safety system comprised of safety devices each worn by a caretaker and up to three people requiring minding, that alerts using color coded LED lights and audible tones when a monitored person is in danger. The device alerts if the person is beyond a preset distance, is close to or is in a body of water, or signals they are in trouble, using phased-array radar coupled with image processing. The phased-array radar allows the remote sensing of water in either daylight or night. The phased-array radar comprises multiple antenna elements including an independent antenna element phase shifter allowing beamsteering. The device scans an object using a preset beamsteering algorithm independent of movement. The multiple antenna elements and beamsteering improve image data accuracy which is then interpreted and correlated with a body of water characteristics. The phased-array radar is also used for caretaker-monitored person communications.

FORGETTING-TO-CARRY PREVENTION ASSISTANCE METHOD, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND FORGETTING-TO-CARRY PREVENTION ASSISTANCE SYSTEM

A forgetting-to-carry prevention assistance method assists, in a terminal device, a user in preventing forgetting to carry a personal item. The forgetting-to-carry prevention assistance method includes acquiring a destination for the user; detecting the personal item that exists around the user; and in a case where the personal item associated with a category of the destination is not detected, notifying information on the personal item that is not detected.

Physical wallet separation alert system and method of operating thereof
10373463 · 2019-08-06 ·

A physical wallet separation alert system capable of detecting, alerting, and defining a potentially-dangerous separation between a physical wallet and a mobile communication device is disclosed. In one example, the potentially-dangerous separation involves a user-defined excessive separation (e.g. a few meters, ten meters, twenty meters, etc.) between the physical wallet and the mobile communication device that may suggest a potential loss or theft of the physical wallet or the mobile communication device during a real-time tracking of the separated distance by a wallet separation prevention application executed by the mobile communication device. A physical wallet separation alert may be visual, aural, textual, or a combination thereof. The physical wallet separation alert system is capable of simultaneously tracking multiple physical wallets that are registered with the system. Furthermore, each registered physical wallet integrates a wireless tag configured to be accessed by an RFID reader incorporated into the mobile communication device.

Security tag and base station for display

A wireless, proximity-based security system for securing or tracking a valuable object. The system includes a base station and a plurality of security fobs. The security fobs are tracked via an ultra-wideband transceiver relative to an outer perimeter. An administrator fob pairs each of the security fobs with the base station. An audible alarm emits from base and/or the fobs when the location of the security fob is detected to be beyond the outer perimeter. A haptic alarm emits from fob when the location of the security fob is detected to be beyond a sub-perimeter.

Monitoring system

A monitoring system (1) for monitoring a deployed person. It includes a base station (11) which provides a radio cell (F) in accordance with a first wireless communication standard; and at least one mobile monitoring apparatus (12) which is designed for wireless communication with the base station (11) via the radio cell (F) in accordance with the first wireless communication standard. The mobile monitoring apparatus (12) includes a signaling tag (121) and the base station (11) includes a wireless interface (111) which is designed to automatically read out from the mobile monitoring apparatus (12) participant information (3) required for a registration in the radio cell (F), via the signaling tag (121), wirelessly in accordance with a second wireless communication standard, when the mobile monitoring apparatus (12) is within a minimum distance (A) from the base station (11), which is predetermined by the second wireless communication standard.

Telemetry monitoring apparatus

There is disclosed a telemetry monitoring apparatus for remotely monitoring a plurality of users, such as firefighters, working in a hazardous environment. The apparatus comprises a plurality of portable devices, each arranged to be associated with breathing apparatus worn by a user, and at least one central monitoring station onto which portable devices can be logged on and monitored. The portable devices are arranged to transmit a logon message including an identifier identifying either the user or the portable device.
